I've been playing this solo for about 20 years and it never gets boring! Everytime I had seen Blackmore, he played it differently each time. I masterful guitarist!
If all rocks songs played this slow I could be a rock star...
It's a custom ESP that was built for Danny by the custom shop many years ago :)
So useful! Such a talented teacher! Thank you very much.
Christophe
Absolutely brilliant demonstration at slow speed, thankyou.
Wow! That is great what blows my mind is I can already play it but my brain doesn't work that way. I find it extremely difficult to slow a piece down to teach someone how to do it even though I usually slow a lead down to learn it. Well done!
Thank God you exist ....
Terrific lesson dude!!!!!!!
thank you very much for this video ...you are the best teacher :) with the help of this video , i can play it now ...
thanks a lot for the tutorial on slow motion, very nice and perfect i think
Between 1:14 -1:20 is a chromatic scale in form of bends it is quite simple actually. Fret 12 on the G-string and fret 10 on the B string. Bend the 12 fret on the G string up to 14 fret. 12 fret on B stays put. Move up to 13 on G and do the same thing, then 14 freet and end on 15 fret bending that to 17 fret.
It's Danny's custom ESP they built for him many years ago, unfortunately you can't buy them :(
Thank you so much.
Im learning this piece for this weeks band rehearsal - I am liking the slow tempo version almost better than the original..
dude.....you saved my life...thx sooo much :D
Great lesson! Thank you.
Well done, thanx for posting this
if there was a tab in this vid, it would be totally awesome!, anyway thanks for the tutorial:D
@jedisponge16 That´s right. Plus, on the DVD, Danny Gill guides your through the solo piece by piece. Great tutorial anyway (even I learned that :o))
my favourite music !
Okay, thanks a lot. That explanation cleared things right up. =D
very nice very good excelent
perfect!!! thanks for the tutoriaL"
Even sounds great slow!
What I really cannot understand is how he can play with such long nails?? :) Really... The structure of my fingers is such that if my nails grow just a little bit they get on the way and playing becomes quite an unpleasant experience :))) Respect for the "blue print" of the solo, though!!
What tuning is this? Standard?
how many times slower is this played? thanks!
can you tell me the last note? sounds like a single note C in the 3rd string.. but perahps is there something more?
Please play the second guitar also.......
good
Gracias ;)
what model this guitar?
what caliber those strings are?
What is your string guitar??
The main problem with video guitar lessons is that a lot of times you really can't tell exactly what notes are being played, no matter how close the camera is to the fretting hand. This isn't the teacher's fault. It's just that mainly what you see is a hand with 2, 3 or 4 fingers over 2, 3 or 4 strings, and this is taken at a bird's eye view so you can't really tell what fingers are pressing a string and which fingers are just hovering over a string.
@jedisponge16 On the DVD you'll learn it step by step.
@turockandar Why would U say that?
@trickmast yes..10 times faster with video..
@robdotcom71 ahahah the same feeling =D
I can't tell what Danny is doing from 1:14 to 1:20 where he does those 4 bends. Is he keeping the two bottom high strings in place with his first finger and his pinky and bending the other strings? It kind of looks like that, but his fingers could also just be resting there. Which stings is he strumming also? I can't tell. This is why I don't like video lessons.
you do realize that this is the slow version for people who can learn it by ear, right?
@jedisponge16 Don't you say!
Very hard
You bend notes way too fast. Ritchie bends C to D slowly and holds the bent D note.
levi's
Mr. Blackmore could play faster!
The way it sounds now it sounds like perfect music for some striptease.... :D
Yeah.... take it all off... NOW!! ROFL!!!
