I was part of the Christmas Card exchange this year. It was so much fun. I received so many message from fellow 'kindred spirits'. It was like getting cards from old friends. I hope we'll do it again!
I am going to make the fire starters , and give them for gifts . I had everything but need a pot for the wax and found one at the Antique Store. I have a pine tree I planted over ten years ago. I am always giving friends a bag full.
I started the Christmas card exchange from watching you , its great many of us have not mailed out Christmas cards in years. We love it they all are saying the card put a smile on my face and others said it warmed my heart. Thank you ❤️ adding I mailed out 38 this year. 🎄

That for real happened the other day when something showed up on my kitchen counter that I was looking for everywhere (yes, that's the story of my life LOL). I was searching all over for something then it was on the counter. I asked my husband if he was messing with me and he said no. hmmmmm

Those fire starters were two of my favourite words, FABULOUS and inexpensive. I liked your message about enjoying the season, sometimes it's easy to forget to enjoy the build up to such a special holiday that some of us look forward to all year!

Lost my hairclips in the house months ago and was hesitant to buy new ones, because I knew as soon as I bought new the old ones would be found - and that is exactly what happened. 😂 You have a beautiful home!
Yes! I recently lost a birthday card from my friend since high school (50 yrs.!!!) Cannot believe it left my hand without my knowledge. Hahaha 😂 Your fire starters displayed on the bed of pine needles were gorgeous. How often do you have your fireplace maintained? We have a similar one.
Usually once a year unless it was a mild year.

Your comment about looking for the glue stick gun was so me! My husband says "You are always looking for something!" Of course it is totally true! But I want or thank you for regenerating my true passion for holiday decorating. Since being furloughed, my job was reduced to part time. Ummm, 40 years of loyalty but that's another story. You have inspired me to get back to things I have not done in years. So I now have time to really think about what we need for the holidays. The dehydrator is humming now with oranges & apples. Today, I've made cinnamon scented pine cones & making salt dough ornaments tomorrow! Love your home & the decorations are gorgeous! Linda, I promise I did the same thing with my large glue gun several years ago! I did find it in a box of whatever craft is been working on at the time. Kindred Spirits indeed.😀 like the firestarters. You are so creative and inspiring.

You are such an inspiration!! I can definitely relate to searching for a craft item and not finding it until weeks later! I’m looking forward to receiving the Christmas card list. Thank you for all the work you have done!!!! A tip to keep your wax stamp cool...I use an ice pack, set the seal on top of it between stamping. It helps to set the wax and remove the seal easier.

I understand your frustration! I have two stamps for wax that I use for Christmas cards and I can't find them! They are not in my desk where I usually keep them. I'll probably find them at Easter! LOL!

These are nice for an outdoor fireplace BUT note: pine cones can create creosote build up in your fireplace and are not recommended.
Hi Linda... just a question on the wax seals, I love them, they're very pretty but don't you think postage will cost more because of the weight? Just a thought.. looking forward to your next video!
Hi Denise, Good question! Standard size card and envelope need to be under 1 oz. The cards I sent out, with a list, and the wax seal was .6 oz. Phew! kept it under. . ;-)

I purchased mine at a gift store, but I do see them at craft stores too.
I went on Amazon and found it there with my initial on it , a kit with 3 wax colors . Very pretty . excited can’t wait to get it

I think that you are too hard on yourself! I believe everyone misplaces things and never finds them...we are notorious for putting items in a place we know for sure we will remember and can never locate them...until randomly coming across them!
The rule is you will always find what you're not looking for! You will find that glue gun when you are searching for something else....
