Another thing is to be willing to learn songs and things you might never have wanted to on your own or work on things you know you are struggling with during band practice or songwriting. This last part is something we as music fans take for granted, but when bands release an amazing record usually it's months if not years of practice and work to get to a level where the songs can be played well. That's the part of the process we don't see. I remember Neil Peart who was the drummer for Rush saying it took him years to write lyrics and come up with drum parts for songs and then to be able to physically perform them at a high enough level that they are memorised.
Another fantastic video. You’re ability to simplify music and make it accessible for all is truly brilliant! You make it possible to get better on the days where I just feel a bit negative about my playing and possibilities with this instrument. Thanks for what you do!
