I had a principal just like Mr. Wells in grade school. His efforts were truly seen in middle and highschoolers, when every other kid in the grades were complete immature assholes to everyone, including the teachers, the students he had were the exact opposite, completely respectful to people around them, respected authority figures in the school, and never got in trouble, or at least nearly as much as the other students. He also rewarded students individually as well as giving the entire school awards by doing dumb shit in front of the entire school at assemblies. Things like if we had a state assessment score or something that met a certain goal he set, he'd let some people throw a pie at his face, give an entire class an ice cream party for doing some reading thing I can't remember the name of, or if we met some fundraiser number as an entire school, he'd kiss/hold some random animal. Really just some cool shit to motivate students, and by god, did it work. In my 5th grade year, sadly, since he was doing so damn good as a principal, he got promoted to an administrative position of the entire school district. I had a principal just like Mr. Wells in grade school.
