Absolute Epic episode Mal, loved every minute of it. I like how you've completely edited out all your questions you asked him and its only him answering each time throughout the episode, what an amazing curriculum Stephen has being with YAMAHA for over 50 years wow, in addition he's such an impressive rider sits so still on the motorbike just gliding over the terrain. 🙏👍
Thanks Arch, amazing countryside right at the footstep of the Gold Coast and Brisbane, it blows me away every time I ride out there. Yes Steve is a true brand ambassador, he is an absolute legend of motocross and should be commended for his commitment to a brand. Sign of his true character. Glad you enjoyed the ride and epic scenerey.
Kia Ora Mal that was awesome what an experience it must’ve been to be riding with Steve thanks so much for sharing with us. Just got 2024 Pan Am last week and enjoining it 🤙🏾✊🏾🇨🇦
thank Mr Gall & Yamaha helped me out when I left Australia during Covid to go ride around South America, no T7s were available for sale Yamaha Sydney had ex Gall bike used in a tenere tragic event ,, felt good having a hero of my motoX days bike LOL :)
How good is that! We talk about his Finke win every now and again, different time to now that's for sure, big air cooled 2 strokes, no camel backs! We were riding moto today and he mentioned a big off he had out at Finke and got KOed for quite a while!
nice video mal, do you have GPX of the ride, or even just some road names? I've done the boarder ranges and mibbin Forrest a few times now and would love to venture out near Tenterfield and west / south west of Beaudesert?
no gpx but look these up in order from Boonah: Cannon Creek Rd - Neumans Rd - Burnett Creek Rd - Fletchers Rd - Carney Creek Rd - White Swamp Rd - The Head Road - Queen Mary Falls - Harrigans Lane - Paddys Flat Rd - Beury Ck Rd If you link them together, then we headed thru Woodenbong back to Beaudesert. Hope that helps!
@oldmanspeedadventures I'm having a hard time retracing the route and making a connection between Queen Mary Falls, Harrigans Lane and Paddys Flat Road. Could you help me out with some more waypoints please. Thanks Mal EDIT: Did you perhaps head all the way down Gilgurry Rd, Boorook Road, to the Bruxner Hwy, and then back north just before Tabulam along Paddy's Flat?
Your best video to date (only because I own a World Raid)🤣. I’m surprised he liked the standard Pirellis so much, they are shite. But he’s right about the bikes smoothness.. they are incredibly smooth. I was surprised how much smoother the WR is over the standard Tenere. The other must on a WR is to add the high front fender kit, makes all the difference in the mud & when riding standing up.. Awesome bikes.
@@oldmanspeedadventures me too. Him and Anthony Gunter. I was never a motocrosser myself but loved watching the fast guys whenever they came to town. I was just an average trail rider and now I’m a slower than average trail rider and an even slower adventure rider of course. My Brother in law was national sidecar champ back in about 1990 from memory. Gall was past his prime by then.
haha not yet! But rumours always start somewhere! I didn't even actually ride the bike, next time I will for sure. Only issue I have is size of bike for a long haul pillion ride with wifey.
Beautiful ride. You are spoilt for choice down there with all the tracks you guys have.
Pretty good, all within an easy day ride from my front door, yes blessed with choices!
And there’s me believing AUS is just spiders, snakes and all things that can kill you. I reckon I’d risk a right hook off a Roo to ride down there 😁
@@Tripleb6036 pretty good ay that's just 1 local loop here, yep we are lucky to have access to some awesome locations

Cheers mate I appreciate that! Yeah those tyres worried him for a while but he got used to them. Cool I will pass that info onto Steve for sure.
Hey Mal good video did you have a ride of the World Raid if so what did you think
Funny enough no! I will in the coming weeks for sure, might shoot my opinion on the bike.
