This is probably the best free thing I’ve ever gotten in my life, except for that one time the vending machine gave me an extra Take Five bar I didn’t pay for.
Cole Escola is a genius. Every single thing Jessop said was quotable and perfect. He plays straight better than any gay I know, better than some straight guys play straight too. Laura Jean was heartbreaking and beautifully voiced. The canvas of Bette Davis is glorious. Every bit of this was strange and delicious.
I don’t even know where to start without totally fangirling out but goddammit Cole you beautiful brilliant hilarious treasure. The grounded absurdity and specificity of each character is so satisfying and hilarious to watch. Thank you for sharing your gifts with everyone. ❤️
I cried out loud at that point. There's already so much to work with with those horrendously awkward pre-porn interviews and then bam!, the perfect punchline
That transatlantic accent! 🤣 "I had gum in my mouth, so I wasn't safe to swim." "It's Ikea. I simply put the pieces together." How do you think of this stuff?
The "Laura Jean" sketch has stuck with me more than any other from when I saw Cole's live show in Seattle a couple years ago. It's genuinely poignant, and yet it's also a perfect parody of the "southern romance" play. The sound design is the icing on the cake. "Poopy Sue" is an instant classic.
The "Laura Jean" skit struck such a weird nostalgic feeling within me as well, and I'm really wondering why. There's something about that scene that seems so "heartfelt" which doesn't make sense since I'm not from the South and honestly, I can't think of one specific movie except maybe like "A Walk To Remember" that it resembles. Yet, you put a young man and a young woman talking in soft southern accents while the midnight bullfrogs croak and suddenly I'm so profoundly moved, it almost seems stupid but so beautiful.
This is a work of genius. It is so good I am breaking my 10 year policy of never commenting on RUclips videos. Bravo Cole Escola, and thanks to Zoe Coombs-Marr for mentioning you in The Guardian (in Australia)
I may not have asked for this DIRECTLY, but I know I'd been thinking "I really wanna see a whole show of just Cole doing characters..." and you delivered. We thank you!
Right!?! The body language was so spot on. He could've done that whole bit with just his incredibly expressive hand in the shot and still sold the character! That was my favorite 🤓💗
It's amazing the way Cole inhabits a character. We haven't seen anyone like this since the best of the SCTV group so many years ago. It's really amazing.
Cole, I just discovered you and I think you are such an original. Your characters have so many layers. I hope to see more of you. Thanks for making me laugh and for beaming your positive vibes out to the world.
There’s too much goodness to quote. Oh heck, I’ll do just one. “Mayonnaise...we have some and we’re going to show it to you.” Cole I want you to have to all the recognition and opportunities you deserve. Your comedy is so intelligent. And, the Laura Jean and Sam piece was really beautiful.
Well, I've officially fallen in love with you now. I also have the home decor of an old decrepit woman who's middle aged son takes care of her. I haven't laughed this hard and this real in a long while. Thank you for being you! Oh and thank you for the Jennifer Convertibles sketch. Ive been trying to find the old one for years and started to think I imagined it!
Loved every second. I couldn't look away; it's like watching the funniest car accident you've ever seen. But it's clearly no accident and obviously took an enormous group of gifted actors, writers, producers, and prop and wig stylists. I've watched it sixty times and I still couldn't tell you who my favorite actor is, they're all so gripping. And disturbing. If I knew how to create a meme of this I would.
Cole. When I tell you, I’m CRYINg from laughing this hard. You are brilliant, and I’m such a fan. The references you come up with. The nuances. So freaking stellar. You deserve your own comedy special. Absolutely brilliant.
I've been watching this once a week since it released and can I say, the "mom barging in on a slumber party" has a wild amount of Ann-Reinking-in-the-80s energy.
Cole! Thank you for shining your comedic light in these dark times. Post your Venmo so we can help you buy more wigs and props! (We’re overdue for an update from Bernadette P... just saying!) xoxo
You are an entertainment genius!! I haven't laughed so hard consistently for an hour in my life! Keep going, your talent will take you wherever you want to go
Gee, eventhough I got to see this for free, well..... You know what I mean, I'd fork over a few buck$ to see this live on stage and considering my history of theater hopping cosists soley of seeing " Phantom " in 199? somewhere in the Tenderloin district. Now I can sit here in the sticks n think what it'd be like to see "Oh,Mary". I got here via the TV - The VIEW - ❤❤❤ Keep up the good work my friends...
Yes. The voice of our time. Every thing about this is genius. And one ponders that he has all of this stuff in his apartment, which is just a lot to think about.
I’m determined to think of a way for us to do an entire film noir feature together. It will all take place in a small bathroom. And my God, Cole, you’re one of the few in this business who is an ACTUAL genius. A bonafide GD genius.💋💋👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
As a mom, I found these skits entertaining and wholesome, I just wish I actually had kids.
You just said you had kids when you said as a mom.
If you're a mom, like you have time for KIDS
@@Mar.....O always with the literal meanings of words! You go

"It's Ikea detective. I simply put the pieces together "
fucking incredible writing. This dude's talent blows my mind.
@@rickyricardo9710 I agree 100 per cent !!
I laughed so hard at that I fell off my turlett.
"Why do I have so many left over?!"

Truly.
The name alone "jessop" 🤣🤣🤣
You're so basic, lol.

Well said!
Omg I screamed at the when the gay for pay said "thanks ryan murphy!". Brilliant.
that sketch was already wonderful and then at the last minute it became perfect 💯
I cried out loud at that point. There's already so much to work with with those horrendously awkward pre-porn interviews and then bam!, the perfect punchline
Is Ryan Murphy gay?
I think you may be the greatest actress alive.
LOL!
Gateway drugs r real. I started with "difficult people", then i was on to "at home with Amy sedaris", now I'm here...
The grandmother spirit during the Coming Out story gave me life!!!! XOXOXOXOXO
I know, right? That was terrifying. Omg!

"Are those real slices of ham?", "They're silk roses, Jennifer."
I wouldn't sit on your chairs if it was made of dicks and you know I love dicks. Lol
That film noir skit was comedic genius. I keep rewatching it.

"Its IKEA, detective. I simply put the pieces together. " This is why I've been a fan so long.
LMAO!
I almost cried in the couple's departure
The Bette Davis queen Elizabeth framed portrait is everything I needed to know about you and I'm here for it.
As I do when I take off my hat, you make a good point !!
Me: Oh no! This thing's an HOUR LONG?!?!?
Also me: It's over already?? NOOOOOOOO!!!!
Your mastery of the mid-Atlantic accent is astonishing. I close my eyes, and I feel like I'm listening to Myrna Loy.
DAMN! This shit is a fuckin' acting master class. Prediction: Supporting actor Oscar or Emmy within 10 years. For reals...
Omg the grandma possession had me in tears 😂
Okay, correct me if I missed something. But why aren’t there any ads to pay up for these masterpieces?
Not hyperbolic to say that this is absolutely genius. Incredible, I love it.
don't think i've ever laughed so hard so consistently for so long
I don't know what to say, I want to quote every sentence! This is EVERYTHING Cole!
So impressed with how he gets in character. The old diva reminiscing, her mannerism were so spot it - even the really subtle stuff.
Right!?! The body language was so spot on. He could've done that whole bit with just his incredibly expressive hand in the shot and still sold the character! That was my favorite 🤓💗
Did we like it? Yes, Cole. We really liked it. Please, never stop the brilliance. 💖
"Thanks Ryan Murphy" OH MY GOD, I DIED AT THIS 😂😭
Wtf the Laura Jean one actually made me cry omg you're so good
"did you just call me a DYKE?!?" xD i love you.

This old lady jazz routine sketch is making my throat hurt from laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oof... I'm tired
Matthew Mooon legit it was all funny but I had to pause the video when she said her opening line 😂
I simply can not get over the straight guy one. Amazing
‘Thomass... I’m in hell!!!’ That had me laughing so.
Please come back to RUclips. I miss you.

It makes me so happy to know I'm not the only one who can see what Ryan Murphy is.
As a gay with a Kylie Minogue tattoo, on my arm not my upper groin, I LOVED the gay for pay moment!
I fucking lost it at “I am launching a new line of body positive office supplies”. you are a true comedic genius.
Cole! You are so effin weird!
And I loooove it. So silly. So creative. The raisin one fucked me up. Cant wait to see what you do next!!!
This is my favorite holiday movie.

Thank you for the special we didn't ask for but absolutely needed. 👏👏👏
Gotta be the most talented, creative person of this generation.
Moon and the sun speech is how I feel watching most plays, unfortunately. And I love theatre. Cole Escola for Thespian president !!
I love Cole so much!! The best.
The prairie girl scene was actually the most touching melodrama 😢😢😢😢😢😢
nothing in any of that intro could have prepared me for that opening line
