Nobody was defrauded, the bank who made the loan said they would love to do business with him again. It was a private loan made between a bank and a company, the result of which happened to be that the bank was paid back in full, with interest. What is the problem here?

Not every law and ensuing punishment is about compensating victims. There are plenty of laws who's purpose is to discourage behavior that has the potiental for creating harm. If I speed through a school zone at 95 mph but don't hit a kid, is there no "victim"? No! The "victim" is society at large that had to shoulder the increased risk of disaster to an innocent member of society. The same applies to financial laws... their purpose is to discourage behavior that would damage the integrity of our financial systems. Without that integrity, a capitalist system would be harmed as it would create a chilling effect for investment and acquiring capital.
He is not going to lose his appeal these cowards have already shown their tails.
The 10 day lifeline the Appellate Court just gave him is 10 days lost in trying to uphold democracy.
