"Flipping"??? What??? My God the mainstream media SUCKS!!!
Where have you been this past decade? Cohen was one of Trumps main men and he flipped on Trump by testifying against him. "Mainstream" and niche media and anyone with a pulse sees it, and none of it sucks.

As the News went over the Air, it could be regulated, and News organizations were required to present both sides of issues if the other side had some merit and opinions were left for the end of the broadcast. It was deemed as a public service to keep the folks intelligently informed. Then there was 1st Amendment Rights case challenging the FCC regulations, and they won. The regulation was deemed unconstitutional. Then all of the mainstream media started being more biased to target their audiences, add to that the Internet and closed social echo systems and we have what we have today. - I don't remember the specifics of the case (it may have been Fox but just guessing) or the date, but that was the beginning of the increased chaos. It may have been inevitable due to the internet.
The proverbial wisdom used to be "Don't talk about the case outside the courtroom". That seems to have gone out the window. People were trying to have the case heard & decided in the public view. And in the Ethernet . Now , the prosecution is crying. Maybe Trump's strategy to spew out to the public lowered the bar enough to tempt Cohen to blab? Or is Cohen playing double agent again, but this time trying to get back into the grace of his old master? What a mess.
Notwithstanding Mr. Cohen's character, what do we do about all those receipts, Weisselberg's own handwriting. Checks signed in the WH etc? And the audios? The defense will smear Mr. Cohen, but they can't erase all those documents and what was said on those tapes.
Exactly. The are 2 lawyers on the jury too and I doubt that this will escape their notice. The prosecution has a TSUNAMI of evidence, so whatever they say about Cohen, the documentary evidence is there. No need to show intent with such solid evidence - and ignorance is no defence either! This is a man who was running for president after all and one would expect him to understand the implications. If he couldn't/can't understand that then he is not fit for office in the future....

This is an MSNBC channel, not an Ari Melber channel, it's hardly his thumbnail title. Having said that, I'm a bit disappointed with the title, I thought Cohen had flipped back to Trump's side.
Oh, Ari said that because the star witness produced false testimony and got nailed on it. Jury was reported to have “rolled their eyes”. The defense does not even need to argue at this point. The star witness is a pathological liar who gave Trump the case on a platter. I mean, if they have to push back? All they have to do is call Cohens ex attorney to the stand. Here’s a bit of info: Ari Melber doesn’t choose the title or the thumbnail or even necessarily which content. That’s done by a social media director or editor. Ari does his program. Someone else decides what to excerpt and what to call it. This is the same as print media where an editor, not the reporter decides what to cut and the headline will be.

Documents dont prove intent. That was what Cohen and Stormi. Both are known to lie. Cohen has lied to every level of government. He lied to congress, he lied to judges, he lied to his attorneys and the IRS. He has and did admitt to lying under oath. You should check out what his former attorney has to say....its not good. He says it was to shut up Stormy Daniels. Unless Trump takes the stand and explains another reason for the payment, the jury can only assume that, on this point at least, he was not lying. Trump says in his books he tracks expenditure on paper clips! Yet he wants us to believe he signed $420,000 of checks to Cohen for "legal expenses"? Get real.

I’ve been on a high profile jury and I can say from my experience that even tho they are trying to discredit Cohen, the jury has seen and heard enough to understand the dynamics between these two.

Actually no. Cohen’s testimony is the only way they can prove intent. Receipts and signatures on checks don’t prove that Trump INTENDED to violate campaign finance law. And proving intent is a prerequisite of conviction.

This isn't technically a news show. These are opinion panels and talk shows. Real news are things like PBS Newshour and such, where they just state the facts and don't speculate. These types of shows say what happened as the talking point and then everyone says what they think in a discussion. They're different. These ones just get better ratings, so there are more talk shows on tv than actual news.
No worries. Cohen did great on Tuesday, and I'm sure he's meeting with the prosecutors today to make sure he fixes any problems that may arise tomorrow. Cohen may not be a great lawyer, but he is a lawyer and he knows the rules. That's why he kept his cool, and will continue that way.
