I learned how to ride on a red 1983 Yamaha Maxim 650 my brother bought when I was 19. I hated! Hated! Let me stress...HATED!..the way that bike sounded since my buddies rode Harleys and I couldn't afford one...but would ride it anyway..because hey...it was a free bike for me to ride. Now I'm 55 and the sound of this bike in this video is exactly the same way I remembered it. But now..I LOVE! LOVE! Let me stress LOVE THE SOUND OF THIS BIKE! Brings back lots of great memories. I pray George is blessed with it. And I love how you guys pray up with your customers before they ride away. BTW..my claim to fame is I'm the guy whose ribs Sean broke at the 1:00 min mark of his birthday video...hahaha..thanks for that! God bless guys!
My first bike is a 1968 CB750 that i'm currently restoring, shamless plug, I started putting the videos here on RUclips as I'm working on it so if you're bored, would appreciate a view or two. My videos might not be as good as these guys, but hoping they help or inspire others to fix bikes. Also, picked the bike up at an auction for $2.75, that's including auction fees so plenty of room to get the bike running and still make a little money on it. The engine was locked up and missing some parts, but it'll get there. Keep up the great videos!

First bike mx100 Yamaha. Then 360 Honda that was 10 years old with 35 miles on it. Original owner got scared his first ride and parked it in front of his apartment. Never road again. Grandpa walked past it for year visiting his gf. Bought it for 300$ in around 82. Yes I am old. 😂
You guys seem like great guys to work with. You bought a bike, picked it up, repaired it, and sold it and didn't make anything....... You made this guy extremely happy and did the right thing. God bless you for doing the right thing, I certainly your generosity gains you many sales!

I would love to have call SRK Cycles when I’m ready for my next bike. Christ is my Rock as well, and that prayer really touched some strings at the end. 👍
Im 16 and just got my first bike a few months ago and i couldn’t help myself from smiling the whole 50km ride home, i have rode 1300km since then and have loved every moment on it
If you love bikes you'll never lose that smile. Even as a motorcycle commuter, through all seasons and conditions, I never lost the thrill and the smile when riding my bike.
I remember my first bike , 1986 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. It was a lot of fun to ride! I'm 60 now and had to pickup another one to add to my collection. With only 11k miles on it , it rides like I remember years ago. Having fun on two wheels! Love you're videos and wish I lived closer to your shop! Honesty is everything! God bless.....
You guys are so awsome! I built my first bike with my fathers old lawn mower engine after it caught fire and he just burried it with dirt to put it out. I used an old bicycle, bent a metal rod to support the enngine over the front wheel, drilled a hockey puck and attached it to the shaft, bolted the engine onto a peice of plywood and hinged it over the front wheel support. I had the cleanest rim in town! 25 cents of gas and drove everywhere. I was about 10 years old when I did this. Needless to say, many real bikes later and 40 years, I'm fortunate enough to still ride! Great videos and great storey!
My first bike was a 69 Yamaha 650. I had to completely rebuild it . But it only cost me $50 bucks. $400 later for tires, battery and voltage regulator. And I was riding the us hwy 1 route. Best time of my life.
My first real bike was the 550 Maxim. I can't remember what year it was, nor how I came across it, but almost 30 years later I still tell stories about that, and smile every time I think back on it. I recently bought 2 classic honda bikes that I'm fixing up, and remembering all the enjoyment I got out of riding, and especially on that bike. All kinds of stories about my 22,000 miles in 2 years on the old Maxim 550!
I get as excited today as I did when I was 17, I'm now 53 and still have no spare cash, but a shed full of smiles. Nice work guys, watching wjile I'm unwell here in the UK, nothing serious just manflu.
Hey Caleb I started on a red Rebel 250 too. I got it for 600 bux when my truck broke down. The lord blessed me with a safe ride for a few years and I loved it. Have a good one guys , love the show.
I watch the show all the time good stuff Sean I’m watching a show on the $700 bike bring me back to my first bike was a 69 Yamaha twinjet 100 man I thought that bike was the coolest thing and then the next year and 70 I got the same bike the YL1-E which had the electric start, I’m 66 now and still Ride daily, love seeing all of the great old bikes that you feature. Also a man of God rates right up there with air.
You absolutely nailed what it’s like to get your first bike and that feeling riders get not only when they first start but it’s the reason we continue to ride.
My 1st bike was a 78 cb750 bobber. Rigid frame with no speedo or signals! Best bike ever to learn from! I never learned how to sync those carbs though. I love the prayer at the end!
I love you how you pray over the riders. I pray over my trip every time I start my ride. My First was an 1982 XJ550 Maxim, but my all time favorite with my second 1985 XJ700 Maxim (still miss that bike and it’s been 12 years).
My first bike was an '82 Maxim 650. You're right perfect first bike! I got it for $500 on Craigslist, and I also sold it after owning it for 3 years for $1200 to a first time rider. It was in a small wreck before I got it, took about $150 in parts to get it back on the road. Taught me a lot about bikes, and how to work on them.
My first bike was a 97 Suzuki GSXR 600. Man I had a lot of fun and good memories on that bike. Great bike to learn on as well. Subbed after watching a couple of your videos. You guys seem to be an honest bunch and that is rare nowadays. God Bless!
My first daily rider was a 86 honda magna v65 aswell! My step-dad gave it to me for Christmas about 10 years ago and its a beast. Starts runs and is super reliable. I have a few project bikes (6😅) and we just got my wife a navi so she can get comfortable riding then hopefully upgrades to one of the bigger bikes. Awesome Chanel love this type of stuff. these old bikes and bikes like the navi are putting more and more people on 2 weels than ever before and it's amazing. Stay safe.
I just bought my first bike because of suggestions from yalls videos. I got a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic and love it. Already buying parts and making it my own. Thanks for all the helpful tips and being a positive Christian influence 🤓👍🏼🏍❤️
My first street bike was a Honda rebel 250 and loved it, doesn’t matter what you ride. It’s all about the feeling of riding something that is different and makes you happy, riding a motorcycle is in my opinion the greatest feeling and the most humbling experience of my entire life.
WOW, this video is totally AMAZING! Love what you're doing with the business and much respect for the acknowledgement of whom all blessings flow. I see why your business is so successful, keep up the GREAT work! KUDOS TO YOU AND YOUR TEAM! #ridefree #besafe #havefundoingit 🏍💯🙌
I,m over in the UK, remember my first bike, Honda SS50 in 1076, love your comment about this bike will have brought more people into biking than I will, so true, nearly 60 now and have been riding a BMW S1000XR for 4 years now with 40,000 from new, still ride all year, love the videos,
Man... just watched on my tv and had to find video on phone. I’m tearing up you prayed with him. Doubt you look at comments on old videos, but you’re awesome.
Hi people,, I think ur u tube channel is the best thing on u tube,, I end up with a square butt watching it most times, I've had a few bikes in my younger years saying that I'm only a young 57years of age,, I was planning to get another until I lost my partner last year now my times all for my 13year old son,, but I will bide my time for now, anyway I hope yous keep the good work up,, wok fae Scotland,, 😊
my first bike IS a 1983 Honda Goldwing Interstate. Bought it from my 89 year old Uncle when he decided his reflexes were slowing down just a little bit. Been a good bike for the last 5 years. It's in the shop now for a new set of head gaskets. Can't wait to get it back. At 63 I feel like a kid when I ride. Hope I make it to 89. My Uncle is still Kickin' ass at 94. I plan on riding his Old Wing to his funeral in 10 or 20 years.
Man my first bike was a 85 v30 magna and learned everything from that bike. I understand the fondness. My girl friend and kids learned to ride on it too. Had it for years and got rid of it because I had 2 other bikes and never rode it anymore, it needed another rider to love and respect it! Because of that bike I’m still on two wheels 15 years later and will be till I can’t hold them up anymore. Great channel and people u guys are, thanks for the fond memories. Ride safe and prosper guys ✌🏻
I'm watching this 4 years later and I'm smiling just watching his reaction. Such a great feeling getting that first bike, 37 years ago and I still remember the feeling
I’m 16 and recently got my first bike. 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 with absolutely no problems mechanically or visually. Picked it up for $750 with helmet, jacket, and gloves included in the deal. Couldn’t be happier!
Thanks for a great channel guys😊😊😊My 1st bike 1991 883 Harley Davidson brought it from an old chap on a steep mountain was so scared to ride it home the old chap rode it to my place for me 👍👍👍 it's all history now. Keep up the great work guys, From New Zealand
My first bike was a Yamaha Twin Jet 100.. I got it brand new for Christmas and i couldnt ride it for 3 months until the snow melted- damn near killed me waiting!...but when the snow finally did melt i rode that bike non-stop day and night till the snow came again!
@@kaybee7504 yes they are actually pretty collectible- especially in good running condition..that Japanese two-stroke engine is pretty indestructible so most can get running pretty easily and parts are still available for those old bikes..i have continued to keep my eyes on them and in mint condition and low miles i have seen them advertised for $1900 with most at a mid-range of around $1050.
Here's the strat for new bike owners, if your looming for a cruiser get one with highway and bag bars. I dropped my bike a few times, always on a dirt rode but thats beside the point, it just sits on those bars. Makes it easy to pick up and saves any important parts from being damaged
1978 KZ650SR bought in 1980 for $1,500. 1st bike!!!!!!! Sold it in 1984 to some kid who ended up totaling it shortly thereafter. Actually shed a tear over that one!!!!! Cheers, Bugs
Awesome first bike Sean! My first was a 1984 Honda Sabre V45, a lot quicker than you would think! Great bike, picked it up for $300 and spent the winter stripping it down, cleaning it up and repainting it.
Yea I can discuss it. It was an easy process. I found the bike I wanted on the website I contacted them and set up an appointment. When I got there the bike was ready to go it started right up. I dealt with Caleb and he was extremely cool. Nothing but good vibes
I have to admit to sharing Sean's enthusiasm for 80's Honda V45 Magnas. I bought one for $750 about 12 years ago, while I was laid off during the recession. I was applying for job after job, trying to find something... anything... I could do. I took a break from searching for work online and came across an ad for the bike, right in the same town where I lived. Previous owner said it had sat in his shed for years, not running due to a bad fuel pump. The bike was gorgeous - beautiful candy apple red color - and barely a scratch on it. He was kind enough to trailer it to my home for me, too. He was right - the fuel pump was bad, but that wasn't the only problem with it. The igniter was bad, too. I found a good used igniter online, but couldn't find an exact replacement fuel pump, so I hooked up a universal low-pressure pump (that met the basic specs for volume and pressure), and the bike started right up. Put in a fresh battery for good measure and drove that bike for 4 years before I sold it for more than I paid for it. That wasn't my first bike, though. That distinction goes to a 1972 Kawasaki model S2, 350 triple that my father picked up at an auction for about $300 back in 1987. I rode that bike all over Chicago, until it tried to kill me one day while I was riding to work on the highway and the 2-stroke oil injection pump failed while I was doing 70mph. Fun times.
My first bike was a 1985 Yamaha Virago 700. I sold it when I upgraded to a 1987 FZ700. Years later, I walked in to the local shop and they had a 1985 Virago on the floor. I bought it again! I've since moved on (again), but I will always have a soft spot for that old Virago.
Love the verse of the days and the prayer at the end man. If you ever need watch time I'll let your videos play on repeat in the background just let me know
I had the 550 Maxim and broke the speedo in the first month . Any bike with an 85mph speedo that still works has not been ridden to it's potential . I won alot of races on that 6 speed 550 !!!!! Still fond of the bike 30+ years later
1979, she was a '75 Honda CB550. Paid $400 for her. Metallic orange and black. I stripped the paint, rattle canned a deep maroon color on the tank and bought gold edge-trim and two gold "Honda" emblems off a Goldwing and put black rubber gaiters on the front forks and wrapped the seat in black cowhide. I put 30,000 miles on that bike including 3 round trips from Houston to Daytona that were non-stop both ways...that bike purred at 85 mph and topped out at 115mph. Thanks for taking me back there! (edit add) I also chose this bike over a 1972 Firebird Formula 400 that I could have bought for $800.
My first bike was a silver '82 Yamaha Seca 550 shaft drive with the blue trim. She wasn't very fast but looked fast to me. I paid $750 and she already had 41,000 miles on her. I got her the summer right before I turned 21 and rode her straight out to Cali with two buddies that were in a toyota pick up. She gave me trouble in a rainstorm in Virginia beach the day we left and not a lick of problems after aside from running out of gas a couple times. Cruised through god awful heat in death valley, snow storm through sierras, 18hr deluge through Nebraska and got me all the way home months later in one piece with many a story to tell. Wish I had treated her better n still had her...
My first bike was a Honda SL125. It was used. My Dad gave it to me for Christmas when I was 13. I loved the bike. I grew up on that bike. The day I sold it, and saw the guy drive off on it I cried. It was like losing a best friend. I have regretted it ever since.
First bike was the '82 Yamaha Maximum XS400...Still have it!!LOL! Fell in the love with the style and lines of the bike...cast wheels, chain drive, pipes on both sides...etc...!
In 1979 I was 16 and my Dad bought me a Yamaha FS1-DX 49cc moped to get to work on. It was the first of the many road bikes I've owned over the years and I am proud to say I am still riding now. Although not as much I have to say, the winters here in Yorkshire can be a bit fierce when you're getting to fossil status......
I grew up riding dirt bikes from the age of 10. My first street bike was a 1988 gsxr 1100 that I bought from my friend in 1990. It had an awesome Bassani pipe on it that you could stick your fist into it🤣 I once took it up to 165mph, thankfully God loves me and I didn’t die. Love your videos!
This was awesome to see his excitement that we all get with our first bike, mine was an FZR1000. Pretty intense for a first bike but it taught me very quickly how to use the counter steering technique and now that I'm 31 and thinking about it, I don't know how I'm still alive with that monster between my legs at 22 years old haha
Awesome! They're great machines. I picked a XJ650 up for free, brought it back to life with the help of a friend, found and replaced missing pieces, put over 20,000 miles on it (including moving out to the west coast from the midwest), and after 6 years of faithful service and no issues I sold it for $1800
My first bike was a 1976 Kawasaki KZ900 with a Z1 engine. I remember the serial number on the crankcase started with Z1. Didnt know what it meant then. LOL. Then a V45 Magna. An 1100 Yamaha. Then built from frame a 1950 Harley Panhead with an S&S stroker kit. Now I have and still ride a 1998 Harley Electra with a 107 inch S&S supersidewinder engine. With a Baker OD6.
Thank you for your contribution to the world. Love you guys honesty and integrity. Going to get a new bike later on that will, unwittingly, give it's engine to my landspeed race bike to set new UK records in the 100cc class. Keep up the great content guys.
Sean, your chanel is AWESOME. Love your honesty and integrity. YOU should have a million subs. My first bike was a NORTON ATLAS 750 manuel kick, the best bike ever. Wishing you the best of health happiness and success for you the family and friends.
It’s all about the RIDE. Two wheels, cruising down the road. It doesn’t matter what make or model. I’m a Harley guy myself, but I’ll unashamedly ride whatever can get me from point a to b and beyond. Just RIDE!
Got an 85 Iron head a basket case engine never had ethanol run through it's a Sportster not a leaker bought it from a cycle mech who sold it to a cycle mech who sold it back to his boy old guy and then too me, took it apart will never put it back together got old 05 evo sportster. That runs great Took 85 apart in 2015 got all original parts had a plan wanted an Iron Head started taking off the horn and next thing I know I bought tires and paint my boy had a shop let me know if you interested love your channel...
I drove an 82 Yamaha Maxim 650 in the early 80's. Great bike. I put 80,000 miles on it. Mine had a factory optioned step seat with a full backrest and a full sissy bar per the DOT rules.
A friend was given a Yamaha XJ 750, the touring edition with the big eagle beak fairing and saddle bags, crazy huge seat... after a few years of doing nothing with it, he was gonna throw it away. I rescued it, trailered it home, worked on it for 16 weekends. It had sat for 7 years at least. I have less than a hundred bucks invested in it, still own it, have more plans for it. Its not my first bike, but i agree, they're awesome durable machines, great for beginners.
Bought my first bike from a small dealership for $500 when I was 19, and my brother taught me how to ride it after dinner. Coolest feeling in the world!
I'll never forget the day I bought my first (and current) bike. I never had my license and needed to get a vehicle for a new job. Saved up and bought a brand new 2018 Klx250. Was so proud, my dad who rode as kid was there with me too. After stalling about 15 times in the parking lot I pulled out onto the road and this bad ass Harley chopper guy rode by and gave me the biker wave. Made it home without incident and have been obsessed ever since.
That is a great feeling the first bike. My was a Harley Davidson Fat Boy.FLSTF 1992. Now I have a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy FLSTF/I Limited Edition 15th Anniversary from 2005. Would be great to have more Harley Davidson bikes.
This was cool. My first was a 1982 Yamaha Heritage Special 450. I rode that bike EVERYWHERE for 3 years. Then it was a 96 Yamaha Radian 650...once again, you couldn't get me off that thing. Very cool watching someone get excited about their first bike.
So great to see you guys look after a first time buyer !! A great time of life made special by you. Mine was a Ts 185, dozens of bike later im now on a VTX1300S
63 years old and just got my first harley a 2008 nightster with vance and hines ,power commander and custom seat and paint job 8000 miles on it got it from my nephew for $2000 an excellent buy I think with a little instant equity in it
Ah the memories, My first bike was this exact type of bike. Bought it for $900, rode for a year and upgraded to a Kawi 1500 Vulcan. I now ride a Heritage but wish I would have kept the 81' Virago.
My first bike I just bought couple weekends ago! 2017 Kawasaki z125 pro! Bought it with 61miles on it from original owner for $1600!! What a killer deal mow has over 250 miles and I right everyday!!
I just got my first bike a couple weeks ago. It's the Amazon special X PRO HAWK 250. The torture test I seen on this channel convinced me to give it a chance. I figured for the price it's a good start to learn on and have fun with riding untill I can get a nice cruiser style bike.
First bike (still is/current) a '84 Honda Goldwing 1200I. only had fell over once by the previous owner and although I am finding more and more "issues" as I notice it, though those issues have given me so much more knowledge about my bike especially getting over the fear of taking it apart and not putting it back together. Started with basic maintence such as oil changes, removing the seat to change the air filter and now doing more complex fixes like with the original mirrors (any '84-'88 gold wing owners know the shitshow those mirrors are).
my first bike was also a magna, i had the bigger 83 V65 Magna, ive done so much to it and fixed all the damage i did dropping it, its a killer drag bike for the highways
Within one week in May I got my permit, bought my first motorcycle, and drove it home! It's a 1983 Suzuki GS450A and already put a ton miles on it. It's truly an amazing experience and I'll forever remember it.
2007 Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 bought brand new. Loved that bike, had it almost 11 years but traded it in early 2018 for a brand new(old stock) 2016 KTM 1290 Super Adventure. I also have a 1975 Yamaha DT-400 Enduro, it may end up as a restoration project.
Regardless of anyone's faith, or lack thereof, the prayer for a send off was a very genuine, heartfelt thing. I respect that.
The customer was smiling from ear to ear. It wasn’t a $1200 bike it was a whole new world . 😃😃
Dude, that prayer man. You are one of a kind brother. You're a good man.
Literally the comment I wanted to leave. Love that you prayed for the man.

On my 6th bike now, started on a 1995 XR600R, sold it an am looking to get a new one. Your first bike really has a special place in your heart.
God Bless!
Keep the first bike vids coming!!! Brings back memories of my first time signing that paperwork and finally having a motorcycle I could call my own
My first daily rider was a 86 honda magna v65 aswell!
Ride safe and prosper guys ✌🏻
my first bike was a 69 yamaha xs650, takes me back. always enjoy the videos guys!
Why would anybody dislike this video? I love seeing new riders on the road learning with experienced riders
Some great attitudes in this video, love how enthusiastic the buyer is.
Pure freedom, from work, house, yard, family. Everything that is WORK in my life I leave behind when I ride away on my bike....
It’s always heart warming and exciting to see a new rider buy their first bike!!!! When they first crank it up!!!!!😎
I'm watching this 4 years later and I'm smiling just watching his reaction.
I needed to watch this video today. Love your channel and your witnessing. God bless!
That was my brother's first street bike I lost him this year this video gave me great memories thank you and God bless
Your best video by FAR! God Bless you guys for who you are and what you do for not only the biker community but spreading the word and love of God!
1978 KZ650SR bought in 1980 for $1,500. 1st bike!!!!!!! Sold it in 1984 to some kid who ended up totaling it shortly thereafter. Actually shed a tear over that one!!!!!
Cheers,
Bugs
Awesome first bike Sean! My first was a 1984 Honda Sabre V45, a lot quicker than you would think! Great bike, picked it up for $300 and spent the winter stripping it down, cleaning it up and repainting it.
Love how you guys make it about the experience. I remember my first bike. 82 CM450 bought it in 87. Rode that damn thing rain, sleet, and snow.
Just bought a bike off you guys on Wednesday and it’s great thanks again guys !!!
You allowed to discuss it? Just curious about it, what it is, ect.
@@Billy_Darley Hush Hush😒
Yea I can discuss it. It was an easy process. I found the bike I wanted on the website I contacted them and set up an appointment. When I got there the bike was ready to go it started right up. I dealt with Caleb and he was extremely cool. Nothing but good vibes
That smile on his face was amazing, and the prayer and straps. You guys are inspiring!
If you ever need watch time I'll let your videos play on repeat in the background just let me know
Cool thanks
I love how excited he was to get his first bike we all remember that feeling for sure!! Even cuter that his wife and kid are super excited too🙂❤️
My first bike was a 1978 CB750F. My second was a 1983 Magna. I loved that bike with a passion...
I had the 550 Maxim and broke the speedo in the first month .
Any bike with an 85mph speedo that still works has not been ridden to it's potential .
I won alot of races on that 6 speed 550 !!!!!
Still fond of the bike 30+ years later
This was so wholesome, you guys need to make more videos like this. Keep it up guys and God bless.
Thank you for the prayer brother , have a blessed one 🤗👍
At this point I've seen a dozen of your videos and this one is now my favorite.
This has become my favorite motorcycle channel and one of my favorite channels in general!
Just RIDE!
Unbelievably cool video, truly priceless. Thanks to your reviews I bought my first bike. Greetings from Holland!
This is one of the coolest videos. I have taken several friends to pick up their first bikes. Nothing beats that excitement.
Thx for that prayer man. Brought tears to me one good eye.
Love that you pray for your customers..awesome
Finishing up my 1983 Suzuki gr650 that I bought for $500, less than $300 in parts and material, and about 20 hours of diy labor
The prayer was so nice I was so impressed by these guys I love his channel!
I just got my first bike a couple weeks ago. It's the Amazon special X PRO HAWK 250. The torture test I seen on this channel convinced me to give it a chance. I figured for the price it's a good start to learn on and have fun with riding untill I can get a nice cruiser style bike.
Another great video. Love the prayer and you guys are super great to customers. I love seeing a guy so happy with his new bike man.
Gets me every time you bless your new riders. . .
my first bike was also a magna, i had the bigger 83 V65 Magna, ive done so much to it and fixed all the damage i did dropping it, its a killer drag bike for the highways
Within one week in May I got my permit, bought my first motorcycle, and drove it home! It's a 1983 Suzuki GS450A and already put a ton miles on it. It's truly an amazing experience and I'll forever remember it.
First bike, 1975 Honda CB 125! Bought it brand new for $500. I was 15 and this was the max legal size in Oklahoma.
