Can’t emphasise this enough - THANK YOU for taking the time and explaining all that. I’ve owned the H90 for a few months and this is the best explanatory video I’ve seen. Amazing!!
I JUST took the plunge to invest in the H90...however, the apparent complexity of the pedal made me hesitate even more than the cost thereof...YOUR videos regarding the function of the H90 provided to me sufficient understanding such that I felt sufficiently comfortable with making this purchase!...THANK YOU(!) for your clear and reasonably concise demonstrations/explanations!...PLEASE continue to explore/explain and demonstrate the near infinite capabilities of the H90...Namaste...
I have the H90. Do yourself a favor as a new user. Install the included USB cord and use the desktop editor. Lastly, for guitarist, set up the pedal in dual mode to run algorithms before and after your preamp stage. Your welcome.
Been using a Time Factor as my only delay for the last few years, so its nice to hear the comparison of the Time Factor, H9, and H90 as I'm getting a little bit a gas for a new delay solution.
Good video and instruction. Disagree with your thoughts on the Bouquet Delay. It’s incredible in stereo, and really sweet-sounding to me. Note that the H90 uses between 600-800 mA, depending if you are using 9V or 12V. So, if you have a power input that’s only 500 MA, you need to go to Voodoo Lab and get the splitter cable that allows you to use two inputs to make sure you cover - and are not under powering - the H90.
Hello brother this is a nice review, thank you ! Got a question, in the algorithm of the band delays you have delay A and B, and as i know you can you two algorithms at the same time, so is possible to use them 2 band delays at the same time ? Cause like the eventide eclipse it does use 4 delays for this algorithm and wanted to used like that ! Thank you
@@GuitarStuffChannel Okay. The ones I've owned did not have any way to add gain. That includes real analog delays and also digital recreations thereof. I would like to see filters, and maybe more control over the lo-fi vs. modern settings, but I find the analog delay algorithm in the H90 to be superb overall. Also, I don't know if you mentioned it, but the mod is on the repeats only.
Whilst you are correct in normal usage, the manual specifically states that this is "Pronounced Bucket"... cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.7.1/content/algorithms/delay.html#bouquet-delay
Nice unit...if it were say $300. I grabbed a used DD-500 delay that I feel can do most of the same things and in some cases better. It is also 32 bit + Stereo and has even more controls. I combine it with an Immerse pedal and a Flint and a few others and winning. My whole board is high quality and comes in around the same price as this overpriced H90. My advice, if you need something like this, wait and buy it used when the price drops. $300 or less. If you have a grand laying around, get a FM3 by Fractal Audio (used for Guitar.)

@@MOAB-UT What's a tub amp? Where can I get one of these? But you are wrong about the H90, it's fantastic. I got rid of my Merris Mercury X and LVX because of this. The workflow works better for me and I get amazing sounds out of it. I get compliments on my tone pretty much wherever I play and I only use an EQ pedal and an H90 (plus 2 ToneX pedals if I can't use real amps).

Thank You! The H90 is so Packed with features that I'll still be learning about in another couple years.
Yes, it is definitely a challenge
Highly informative video on RUclips about the h9

So many amazing delay pedals out there nowadays.
Hi! Fantastic Vid. Any tips on the Delay/Verb combo? Programming tips, order, all that fun stuff? 🙏 , keep up the good stuff!
Glad you liked it. Planning a similar video of the reverbs soon.
Thanks for the very detailed video. I'm curious how you got stereo sound without any cables connected in the video.
Well spotted! Audio was pre-recorded and then added to the video later.

Thanks! Interesting points on the bouquet delay.
Great video. I’d love to see a similar version on reverb in the h90.
Thanks. It is on my list and I have done a little work on it, but need to find the time.

Yes, that will work absolutely fine.
Nice! Thank you.

Can the h90 do a 2290 digital dynamic delay? Like the one t.c electronic did in the 80s.
If you are asking can it do those hi-fi, digital style delays - yes.
merci !
Wow. Wisdom.
Thank you!
I've never owned an analog delay with a drive control. What delay did you have in mind?
For example way huge supa puss, dod rubberneck and Asheville ADG-1

Is your Bouquet mean Bucket Delay?
Yes. The manual says that ‘bouquet’ is pronounced ‘bucket’. It’s a ‘joke’.
Keeping Up Appearances reference?
It’s based on the old bucket brigade delays.
Question:
Does it have ping pong delay ?
For the price, it had better play ping pong and make me a drink. Get a DD500 and be done. $200 used. Every bit as good.
@@MOAB-UTfalse, not as good. I've had both. H90 kills it.
@@kolbyisawesomeExactly…not even in the same stratosphere! The H90 is actually a huge bargain for what you actually get…
Bouquet is pronounced boo-KAY as in a bouquet of flowers.
