I know every time I watch one of your videos, I’m going to experience some truly beautiful sounds and music! Thank you for sharing your creativity with us all!
Preset dives are always puts me off multieffects pedals too. If I have to fiddle with a pedal more then playing music it’s definately something that would put me off from buying it but I really do like how they are integrating programming of presets into the computer like a plug-in if you happen to reamp a track through a pedalboard to adjust in DAW too and save that preset. Nifty! That was a Great way of showing and explaining ❤️
they did a great job with the user interface on this pedal. as someone who spent years menu diving on the H3000 and later the eclipse, this looks like a breeze to operate. sounds great, too!
4:27 The perform mode and hot switching really makes this high quality multi shine, it seems like such a novel concept when done right, nice work guys!
This sounded beautiful! I loved the reversehole effect. And now I picture Russ walking around with a big bag of pedals in case you ever need a specific one
This pedal is an absolute monster. There's no way I can justify the cost, but it would be cool to be in a place where someday something like this is justifiable for my music. This is a real studio piece, with extremely rich and diverse algorithms, especially with the ease of combining them. Loopop's review shows how powerful this is on synths too, worth checking out even briefly if you're interested in this thing. It has such a heavy pricetag, but if you can realistically justify it, it seems like it will be well worth it.
technically, you can program your own presets, so you can almost infinitely generate your own pedals within this and combine them. Cost-wise it is probably best for people who want only 1-2 pedals instead of a collection, if you think of it like that, you are saving a lot of money on pedals by getting this.
@@emorelix don't get me wrong, I understand this things power and value (loopop's review really helps clarify just how transformative and broad its effects are), but at $900, I have a lot of other things outside the world of pedals that are more important to put money into for what I do with music. Obviously, and I feel this should go without saying, that isn't the case for everyone.
Yeah, there are multieffect pedals under $100 for those of us that want to go the "I'll just buy this one thing so I don't have to keep getting everything" route. If you can justify spending a grand on this then you've already gone way past the small budget pedal collection threshold. Which isn't to say that you shouldn't get it of course, pedals are wonderful and anyone with the means to get them (either one giant splurge like this, a wide of array of more moderately costed pedals or both) should go for it and make the coolest music money can buy.
Years and year ago I was in a small studio and the engneer asked if I fancied putting my snare drum through his new toy -- an Eventide Harmonizer. Usually people just wanted it for vocals but what came out sounded like an atomic bomb going off, so we kept that and moved on to the cowbell . .
The combo of eventide and emily is awesome, the noises in this even from the presets is great! Also props to your drummer, that dude is also awesome! #JusticeForUncleEm
Wow, incredible! I cant wait to put my side-project into action. There is so much access to innovative soundscaping compared to even 10 years ago, let alone 20+.
After many years spent being an anti multi-effects pedals elitist I finally realized the error of my ways and added one to my rig a few years ago. It does want I want it to do so I'm happy with it. Probably not anywhere near as badass as the Eventide but it works for me.
OKAYY, But that Knife Drop* is a viiiibe! Oof🤌 might be my all time fav harp sound. I seriously *LOVE* multi-effect pedals/processors. So glad you finally found one you like. I have had an old school™ Boss effects processor forever, and can't get enough of that bad mamma jamma. Another fantastic vid❤️😎👍 Some great tunes in there!
I had to get over from the live stream at Eventide. You are just the best in demoing these. I have a H9 and could insert it in the H90 and have three engines.
@@emilyharpist If I lived anywhere near I would come over with my H9 and my Boss DD-500 with two Delay engines. I am pretty sure we could easily make peoples minds explode with this.
@@emilyharpist I have an H9, but it's on my battery powered MX5 board with Zoia. Been tempted to put it in my rack though, cause my pedalboards don't get used since I built the rack!
I love that you try all these guitar pedals with your harp ! I can’t believe people are critical that you do so - I think you are remarkable open , honest and creative - please keep running your channel and doing what you do ( it’s Andreas Vollenweider (?) on steroids ! Thanks for your channel
That riff from about 3:20 was gnarly. Reminded me of the kind of noise pop/shoegaze stuff like Scarling. Holy hell I'd love to hear a track of yours like that with Jessicka or Katie Jane Garside singing gently over the top.
Whatever you played to demo the Celestial Chimes setting (starts around the 5:20 mark) was so.. warm and wondrous. Like a long journey leading you to some long-forgotten, powerful place. You peer through green branches and behold a lonely silver tower basking in pure sunlight. Bursts of radiance spread about it like golden wings reaching and beckoning. Surely this is a wonderful place. It feels like home. Nah, but seriously... what fucking healing sounds. Thankya!
your music is right up my alley. Very mystical. I love using Eventide effects on my nylon string guitar the Godin multiac acoustic, and using the MIDI output I can also control keyboards and get pianos at the same time or anything else like brass or combination sounds ;) I really enjoyed this video and will be checking out more of your videos! Thank you for sharing!
I totally dig the axolotl necklace!!! I am a heavy metal bass player, but your demo at 5:30 had me feeling so calm & relaxed. Thank you for your demos with such great & useful content! This is a pedal I definitely intend on getting my hands on one day and I want to explore more things on bass. for now life is pointing me in a different direction, but I will get back to it soon.
This is channel is just unreal. Most beautiful person plays most beautiful music on the most beautiful instrument with the most beautiful effects pedals. It's almost a bit too much. 🙂 Great review!
That "Knife Drop" setting was the best distortion I have you use on your harp! Didn't Eventide invent the first digital delay? But at $900, I pay a little more for a AX Effects or Helix LT.
Holy-Canoli. You have to have one of the most amazing musical ears I've heard in my brief stay on this planet. It makes me want to make music again. Cheers!!!
yo dawg, that's like alotta cool sounds comin out of dat there white box there. I bet it could be used for a lot of musics!! Also props to Joe for always killin it with the drums; love the cameos!
Very nice presentation of this new multieffects pedal! I was just looking at getting perhaps a couple of Eventide pedals with the usual issue of which to choose and this comes at a perfect timing! It's 1200€ price is a bit steep but when you consider how much 3 Eventide pedals would cost, well, there you go... So 1200 might not be this bad all things considered. That said, love how you bring pedals into the mix with the harp!
I was recently checking out reverse reverbs, so this video comes at a perfect time. I’d also highly recommend checking out the Red Panda Context v2, and the Walrus Audio Lore. They’re the ones I kind of settled on, but I can’t decide on which to go with because I think they both sound amazing.
Hey! I have tried all of those, I have a video on the context! I didn’t like the Lore at all actually so I didn’t feature it on the channel! Reverser reverb has been amazing with the context and the Empress Reverb!
The presets on that monster alone sold me. You just know you can program your own presets and go to the moon and back! I'm going to invest in one soon.
Took me nearly a year before I tried plugging expression pedals into mine, and I *really* should have tried it earlier. Using the H90 control software to assign them to pretty much anything the H90 can do really lets it fly.
Ha! I just watched Pete Thorn’s demo of this box and immediately thought “Emily could do wonderful things with this!” It isn’t for me - I’m nowhere near good enough to use 1/10th of this thing’s capabilities - but it is so cool.
Followed your link and found this peddle for $200 less than other sites. Had to buy it. UPDATE Still love this, now even more because of how well it works plugged into my pc.
"Thank you for subscribing to the channel" wow, how bold- "oh you're not subscribed... oh sh-" okay, now I feel like I'm back in the right channel again.
The first bit of playing sounded like acoustic killswitch engage. The first bit of playing with the H90 gave me maximum frission. And the second bit of playing with it reminded me of a devin townsend song. All in all very cool. This is your first video since i subscribed. Not sure why i didn't when i first found you 😅
