    As an avid BMW fan, it hurts to say this, but the CTS is more luxurious inside than a 5 series. Even though the 5 series is a bit outdated by now, I have to give it to Cadillac, they've done a great job. Can't wait for the CTS-V.

    I've had this car for 3 months and I love it, I'm not gonna say it's better than its European competitors because everyone has their own opinion. People always compliment it everywhere I go I'm glad with my choice. Can't wait to see what the V is gonna look like!!!

      Cadillac has really stepped up their game, especially with this car. It is definitely in the same league as the big three German luxury competitors. I'm glad you like your car, I don't see too many on the road.

    • @Drzking9229
      @Drzking9229 10 лет назад +1

      GreatToastMigration yea they're definitely catching up a lot of people say the euros have an edge with their interior because of the lag problems with cue but I haven't had problems at all it seems fine to me. And the only ones I've seen in the streets have been two 2.0 turbo models not v sports which is a reason why I like it so much cause its something different.

    I've had this same model, same year for four years now. I live in Northern MN in harsh climate and I've only had to replace a rusted transmission line. I absolutely LOVE this car.

    I must say, I've always owned Japanese/German cars so I've never even looked at GM due to their stereotypical recall rep...But DAMN this and the new Stingray's design are just...wow..

  • @BuddyLe38386
    @BuddyLe38386 10 лет назад +59

    Amazing car although I think they could have done something a little more aggressive with the exhaust note.

    • @Drzking9229
      @Drzking9229 10 лет назад +7

      Yea that's my only complain with Cadillac. I know luxury cars should be comfortable smooth and quiet but when it comes to the performance trims they should have some growl in em. The CTS-V has a whopping 556hp and it sounds like a basic v6 smh

    • @BuddyLe38386
      @BuddyLe38386 10 лет назад +6

      Yeah you have to dump a grand or so into an exhaust to make it sound decent. I think if it were any other auto manufacturer, it would have been more aggressive sounding. Although Cadillac puts down some serious power these days, I think they are going for the whole "sleeper" thing. I get the idea of making a fast car that's quiet, but this is what pushes me away from this car. The last thing I want to do with a 64,000 sports sedan is spend more money on an exhaust. For this price I could get a BMW M3 sedan.

    • @kirbyswarp
      @kirbyswarp 10 лет назад +5

      Also it sounds about the same as a BMW or Mercedes 6 Cylinder, so I can see where you're coming from.

    • @daaper
      @daaper 10 лет назад +2

      Yamil Not sure what you're talking about. The only times I've ever heard the CTS-V it sounds like a big, beefy supercharged V8. It's based on the Corvette ZR1's monster: the LS9.
      This V-Sport sounds like a V6, but it is a V6. I wish you could hear the turbo a little more in the exhaust note, but it will never sound like its big brother's V8.

  • @kirbyswarp
    @kirbyswarp 10 лет назад +13

    I'd honestly take it over the German competition. A Jag or a Masarati though, that could be debated :) Nice video kyle.

  • @rantanamo
    @rantanamo 10 лет назад +1

    Seriously, this car in this color is like the best looking non-exotic on the road. Everytime I see one, its surprises me how much more shapely and aggressive the shape looks in person, while it looks more dull in pictures. I always think the tires look small in videos, but they look great in person. The angle of the side crease is perfection. Damn great looking car.

  • @Tednessful

    Quite impressive, to be honest. This particular version could put the Lexus GS and 5-Series to shame, with unusual attention to detail and finish on a Cadillac. Being very picky, it would be flawless with higher profile tires (these days 35 on 18" rims is too low) and a less roundish panoramic roof. Nice review ;)

    I always smile when you say that BMW 5 series and Mercedes E class are mid-size sedan because here in France these two cars are pretty big, especially the E class in the Parisian traffic !
    Anyway, this new CTS-V is absolutely gorgeous.
    In some ways, it's such a shame to me that V8 is disappearing ... The end of an era in American motoring in one hand but on the other, it's quite a good thing too. Here in France, most American cars are seen as gas guzzler equipped with big V8 sucking gas like no other cars in the world.

      The 2015 Cadillac Escalades are now in showrooms for sale They start $71k and max out at $92k. Even after incentives, you're talking big bucks. lol

    • @LeshVarg
      @LeshVarg 10 лет назад +1

      Sheila LaShay lol i know. They are coming out with a Platinum around the fall of 2015 which will be estimated to $100k+ after taxes. They are also including a surround camera system, and 8 speed transmission (same one found in the new C7 Z06 but modified), cell phone charger for iPhones and other smartphones, and 4g hotspot. Also a new twin-turbo v6 Escalade is in the pipe line. :)
      We are talking about it in the cadillacforums. There is even actual cadillac customercare reps in there as well if you have issue with your cadillac.

    • @sheilalashay5927
      @sheilalashay5927 10 лет назад +1

      Nihsel101 I forgot about the Cadillacforum, and I have a password. Gonna try to get in. The 15 Lade is fab; I call it jewelry. LOL. When I take my car in for maintenance I will check it out in the showroom. Last winter Cadillac sent me free tickets to the Auto show, but we had a bad snow storm. I was looking forward to seeing the Lade then but driving was impossible. I can't do the 80s, 90s and 100k, but I can look. In a previous year I did see a big young man with a Platinum edition at the showroom. I think he was a pro Hockey player. One of the sports. (BTW - That's the type of money you need) LOL.

    • @LeshVarg
      @LeshVarg 10 лет назад +1

      Sheila LaShay My fam is looking into trading it. We just did a kbb trade-in value, one of our 2011 ESV premium can be sold for 46-54k. So if we include that to the trade in and we have a GM card to help low the price and got a $3000 discount because we got a MB, we are paying like 39k-50k. Plus we are waiting for the 0% apr, which will most likely not happen because they all keep disappearing. lol
      I got a 2013 platinum ESV, got it for 46k. We had a gray lux ESV and we traded it for 43k plus the MB discount and GM card last year.

    I can't believe that genuine leather isn't standard in this Caddy. He said it has leatherette and real leather was optional, this one did have real leather. Initially I thought he might have been speaking of the armrest material, but then he did say it was the seating surfaces that had standard leatherette.

    Cadillac lists the MSRP in Canada for around ~$79k for a loaded V-sport. However, slow sales here (I haven't even seen a mk3 CTS on the streets yet) in Toronto have resulted in some ridiculous discounts on this nice car.
    I've seen somewhere a 2014 CTS V-sport with Navi, HUD, Adaptive Cruise control & Sensor package for sale with just 2000km on the clock advertised for $56k. Really?
    In Canada, a lightly used (~20,000 kilometers) E350 or a 535i would run you nearly $62k. The CTS V-sport suddenly becomes the bargain of the century!
