This interpretation of Eleanor Rigby by Robert Culbertson on the Chapman Stick is pure genius. What a talent !!! I'm blown away. LOVE the minor cord progressions and modulations ...
Actually, I have do a soundcloud site. i have 3 songs and adding more. Most of the music will be different than on youtube. After reading this I now i added a link on my channel page too. Your comment helped make me aware of having sites like this easier to find here. Thanks! Bob
Once again I have to state that I really, really love the clean Stick sound when played with mastery as you do. The Stick has a unique sound which one may like or not. Nevertheless, playing a stringed instrument clean while utilizing all rhythmic, melodic and dynamic options as relaxed and joyful as you do is a true indication of mastery. Thanks for sharing!
NOthing better than a band that inspires you. Personally, I think you're better. Fleetwod Mac is my inspirational band. You're an amazing musician and I hope you continue making videos.
Someone said clean your fretboard a year or many ago, some silly Kalte. A dab of lemon oil won't hurt when you re-string. I love and am envious of the way you play. Been playing for 40 years-ish and you blow me away still. If you ever got together with Tommy Emmanuel, there'd be real trouble! Several more ears would be necessary for starters! Thanks for this Robert
And the video proves a valid point, Bob: the playing of a well-seasoned and very talented artist never gets old. You posted this in 2012 and I am watching it and enjoying it in 2021. I value the time that I spent at the Free Hands seminar at Interlochen in 2017. (We had a video chat with Emmett!) It was a great start for my beginning. And you and Greg and Steve did a great job at the seminar. I am grateful, Bob. Thank you.
I thought Stanley Jordan's guitar tapping version was amazing, but this was next level. Here's Stanley in action: ruclips.net/video/SO7Xp51dCYc/видео.html

If I may be so bold, it may help to add the soundcloud link to the description of each RUclips video.

Video game idea: Chapman Stick Hero
You'd need like an 80 inch TV just to fit the fretboard on it properly visible.

All I want to know is, were you a piano player before you started this? Or, were you a guitar player before you started this? Or, where are you both?
damn!
Celtic for sure, but beyond that, think about the instrument, the level of mental accuity is astonishing, even beyond musical ability

This is my definition of God
