I've got 2 freezers, up right and chest. In my chest I use 2 big boxes and 2 big shopping bags. So easy getting things out. Started to binge watch your videos. From 🇬🇧

Good idea for the bins to put in the freezer!! Also the alarm for the future. 👍
When I put hams or turkeys in our chest freezer, l leave them in a plastic grocery bag so it is easier to pull them out. Also I lined the bottom of the freezer with 2 litter soda bottles filled with water and frozen. That way if the electricity went out I had frozen blocks of ice to keep it cold.

Julie, you are so fun to watch. I love thrifting and you give me so many good ideas. I can’t believe how similar we are. I, too, love farmhouse/country style. I just watched the freezer video, and boy, oh boy, I can’t tell you how many times that has happened at my house. Anyways, I enjoy watching you. Hi Julie hopefully you’re feeling better and have a quick recovery from covid . I really like these narrow but deep containers from Walmart. Each one holds a different freezer item and it has handles so I can easily pull out and move around

Hey Julie, hope you're feeling better soon. I just organized my freezer also. I got a container for the popsicles as well. I tied a string to a small pair of school scissors and to the container so the kiddos can cut open their own popsicles. Thanks for the tip about the bag I would have never thought of that.
I watched this with great interest since I just bought a small chest freezer a week and a half ago. I just plugged it in because I waited for the heat wave to break in ca.. I also bought baskets to organize things but not bags! I also never heard of that alarm but there are just the two of us so it’s not a real problem. I’ve decided to put several bags of ice on the bottom until I have more to freeze but now I will bag it for easy removal. Thanks for all the tips. Used to live on Lake of the Pines and would pack food in because we were 20 miles from the grocery so I understand your needs. 👍💕
Hi Julie. Here's a thought. You could have a piece of paper with all yr inventories. In the freezer.
Once you have taken an item out to use ,cross it off the list. Thus you would know what are things that'd still in the freezer.
Save you more time.to look for item or to replenish. That's what I did for my freezer😊
We have an upright freezer. I put all pork, beef and chicken in separate boxes on the shelves. Fruit and boxes of premade sandwiches are in separate boxes on the shelves. Ours is pretty organized but then again we do not have any children getting into ours. Thanks for sharing!!

Hi Julie! I was thinking that maybe you could also add a large sign or big colorful magnet to the door of the "correct" freezer so the kids do not get confused by the two different black freezers? They then would know to go to the door with fun kid magnet/ sign. 😁 Glad you are recovering, take care!

I know what it is like to lose food in the freezer. Several years ago we had bought a hog, The next day the freezer went out. I cooked as much as I could. Gave a lot away. Including veggies. We bought a chest freezer. I haven't had any problem. I have tubs similar to the ones you have to organize.

Hi Julie, I put plastic bins in the freezer that's on the bottom of our fridge in order to keep the food organized. It's not perfect but it seems to work for me. Every so often I do need to reorganize.
Howdy 👋 Fantastic job on the freezer, it looks so nice and orderly 👏 I’ve got 2 chest freezers, plus 2 refrigerators and they are all jumbled up with food, I have to dig and dig looking for stuff 🥵🤪 I’ve never thought of using the baskets like that, awesome idea😍 I’m going to go to dollar tree and get some baskets and get all my freezers in order 😃 thank you so much for sharing that idea!!! Great idea to put in tubs I wish I would of thought about tubs . Frustrating when people forget to close doors blet alone the fridge and freezers

Hi Julie! That little freezer alarm is so cool! My grandma would've loved something like that. It's just hubby and me so I just have a fridge/freezer. But I have a little cube freezer on my wishlist for someday, especially with prices going up the way they are. Right now I have to squeeze everything in the little freezer space, which is pretty rough since hubby loves his ice-cream. Hope you have a great week and let's go thrifting soon! Bye!

Love this idea putting your foods in tubs . Never thought of that. It make a lot of sense . In case of something happens you don't have a bigger mess ..going to get us some of these tubs ..also I put things that I cook in the freezer and can't find it ..love this thanks for sharing

I have a deep freezer, and I really like how you organized everything in yours, and that is what I want to do , because it is so hard to find what you’re looking for, when things are always getting moved around, so separating everything into containers would make it so much easier. I love your white dollar tree baskets in the freezer as I do the same thing in my refrigerator and pantry......they make the best “slide out drawers “ for easiness and organizing

Julie I Love how you have organized the freezers and that alarm is a great idea! I use the LIL bins from $TR to organize my food in my freezer; an individual one for each; meat, veggies, smoothie fruits etc. I saw one in your freezer. I have done this for years. It has kept me so organized😁. My Mother cooked Chicken and Dumplings when we were young. I Loved them . Unfortunately, I never did get her recipe. I Love these type of Videos from you. This just happened to me, grandson left my freezer open and we lost a deep freezer full. Luckily my dad cooked the meat and mixed it with dog food for his hunting dogs.
Oh this lay it’s the worse!
Maybe an adult should go with the kids when they want popsicles, then there wouldn’t be a problem with the freezer getting left open.

Awe Denise that’s not good. I order beef local. And I get chicken from a farm in Texas. I’m part of a co op and they ship it. It’s called Frans Fryers fro the chicken.
