I just made ribs for the first time on my new eight quart capacity crock pot. I followed a recipe that called for cooking them eight hours on low. They did turn into mush - delicious mush - but still mush. I'm going to follow your schedule by pulling them out at six hours, and adjust that time for future ribs that I make, if necessary. Thank you!
This is the first video I've seen from this channel and I vibe haaaard. I just bought a slow cooker for the first time are saw that ribs are a great option for it... It seems like you have the expertise and teaching ability that just works XD lol.. GJ, I can't wait to try your recipe!
NICE! Great video!! I've got some ribs in the crock pot now and they've got about 3 hours left. So I checked YT to get some tips on how long and how to finish them. So I'll be using all your tips. Thanks!!
I just cook my St. Louis ribs in crock pot first time. 6 hours on high. They came out great but did fall off the bone. I will try your technique next time. I love that toothpick test, just smart. Thank you 🎉😊
I always do mine for 8 hours, I don't mind the mush ribs because by the time 8 hours is over, I'm super drunk and they taste great. I have some in the crock now. I'll try them this way. I'll only drink for 6 hours. 😋😂
Great video and very inspiring. Could you please tell me the make and model of your slow cooker? Which ribs has the best taste? Baby back Sparibs St Louis Thank you Michael Canadian bbq Lover
They usually say spare ribs are the tastiest. Remembers St. Louis cut is spare ribs that are trimmed to a nice rectangle. I prefer St. Louis cut over whole spare ribs. I don’t think they make my ninja model anymore… they are even more sophisticated now
I have people that don't like barbecue sauce on their ribs. Should the process be the same without the sauce or is there something different that should be done? Thanks, Jim
Hello Andersons... had a question.. i see you spice rub your ribs.. which is normal.. but you put your bbq sauce on it prior to slow cook?? I see other videos that they spice rub then put ribs right side up with the meat side towards the porcelain walls of the slow cooker.. and slow cook it that way.. then prior to finish.. then they pour the bbq sauce on it.. and then when they take it out they paint the rest of the bbq sauce over the ribs and let it sit for a few or they put it in the oven for 10 mins to get it carmelized. Whats your take on that.. or anyone else have a opinion?
I haven’t done that. My fear is that the added moisture from the sauce could make the meat break down faster…. But I’d have to personally look into those videos
@@AndersonsSmokeShow Here is the link of the other video that puts bbq sauce on ribs then starts cooking for 6-7 hours... ruclips.net/video/ahuVXDsn5VQ/видео.html Alot of the comments sez... its awesome... so go figure.. im going to try my hand in doing ribs this weekend. but just want to know bbq before or after slow cooked.. the only thing is i cant put in oven to get that glaze...
I made the mistake of going the full 8 hrs last month. Still tasty, but I struggled just to get them out of the slow cooker because they basically melted lol.

Nothing is wrong with falling off the bone. 🤤
Not on wood chips alone. The max is about 50% pellet and 50% chips

Are you using a standard oven or a convection oven ?
For the videos I run it as a standard oven
Wouldn't doing ribs that way produce some liquids in the slow cooker?
It does

Yeah thats the challenge with the crockpot... its so easy to overdo it!
Why not turn them over and cut them. Much easier.
Too much yapping. Just do it dude!
🤷🏼♂️
My girlfriend and me cook our ribs nude.
Not likely any woman would hang out with you lol
