Some men that I have respected for years. This is so clear in Thessalonians. I would say thirdly, that right in the first few verses We are warned to not be deceived. My belief is Many/ Millions of Christians will simply fall away because of this false belief! More people need to read through the Bible for themselves and stop relying so much about being taught. This series of study on the second coming is so glorious! I eagerly anticipate each new episode! My heart is overflowing with joy and expectancy for Jesus to return and establish His kingdom on the earth and I get to MARVEL at His ruling the earth in perfect justice and righteousness and I get the privilege to be His emissary in the playing out of practical righteousness and justice in the land, using the gifts he’s so graciously given me. Pretty amazing that 2 great teachers like Dr Piper and Dr MacArthur have opposite positions on this issue. As a young Christian I went from pretrib to posttrib and back as I found both positions could be successfully argued from the texts. Till I thought of Enoch raptured before the Flood and Noah and his family being taken out of it, and later of Lot and his family being taken out of Sodom before its destruction. There seems to be a clear pattern there. Recently my view was strengthened by 5 things: 1st the Church is absent from Revelation from ch 4 (and come up here) till the last chapters. 2nd The tribulation is called the time of Jacob's trouble: it concerns Israel and its salvation, not the Church. It's also the time of God's wrath, His wrath cannot be unleashed against Christ's bride 3) Jesus's words "if those times weren't shortened, no one would be saved" only makes sense if there's a millennium right after the 2nd Coming where those people who survived the tribulation will live. 4) I'm told that the first disciples expected Christ's return at any time till after the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD and the dispersion of Israel, then they knew it wasn't going to happen soon. Finally dispensationalism (applied to eschatology only) explained many things I could not understand about Scriptures. We will see whether the marriage of the Lamb takes place in Heaven during the tribulation on earth or after. :) In any case, Maranatha, Lord Jesus!

I greatly appreciate Pastor John’s straightforward, common-sense interpretation and teaching of these and other pertaining passages (his conclusions are the same as my own). Given that some respected reformed teachers draw conclusions from these scriptures that make me sometimes wonder why I even bother reading and trying to understand the Bible for myself, this approach re-enforces my belief that scripture was meant to be understood by the common believer.
I believe this to be correct, besides the part where Jesus doesn't go back to heaven. The Day is revealed in the 6th seal, but right after that the saints that have been through the tribulation are standing before the throne and before the Lamb. This makes me think that Jesus is going to come rescue the saints before His wrath is poured out upon the earth, but I do agree that this is after the tribulation. I'm open for someone to reason this out with. I have pondered these things and I desire to know the truth about it.
I think what makes people believe the pretrib is that nobody wants to be here when the antichrist is persecuting and killing God's people. That desire to not be here causes many people to twist the scriptures to say what they want it to say. Jesus was quite plain in matthew 24. It's even plain in the opening of the seals in Revelation when the saints that die during that time ask God how long before he would come and avenge their deaths.. He says just a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. Then he opens the 6th seal and the sun and moon go dark just like in matthew 24:29. Add that with what Daniel said and there you go.

They don’t understand history either. The believers were here on earth when the antichrist and his inquisition killed thousands upon thousands. We will be here when history (probably) is going to repeat itself.
The subject of those verses is the dead in Christ specifically. We may not reasonably say that we are given the full picture of other things that will happen. Nowhere do those verses say, "and there was no judgment."

I was concerned why very known preachers of sound doctrine that I respect and hear were saying pre rapture. For a moment i thought could I be wrong? For many years I have believed in Christ coming at the end. My eyes were opened by only reading carefully Matthew 24. With my husband now we are teaching it and warning believers to wake up and change their ways. Some believers don't like even hearing that Christ is coming soon. Shouldn't this be out blessed hope and joy?

Hold fast to what you are teaching-- no matter how many times your accused of having a demon, like I have been accused of. You know, I really hate the division that this brings with it, but Jesus said what He said. Paul said what he said, and the both match perfectly. You cannot make a pre-trib rapture work without manipulating the scriptures and discarding what Jesus said, altogether. Rapture and many other things are things of God, I guess. It's deep and mysterious. It's in the mind of God. While we have "hints," by grace, we leave this thing to God. Honestly, all things are from God. Now, we are "ought" to pray, asking the grace of God to lead us to the one that pleases him -- to his One and Only Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, to DEPEND on him for everything in this life and in eternal. Man is sinful and weak. Man has no understanding. We depend on the Lord Jesus Christ.
hansja, Amos 3:7 says that God does NOTHING unless he first tells his prophets. Not "hints" or "expects you to infer what is not written." Nothing. Everything we need to know was written. The important things were written at least twice. Something as important as a pretrib rapture surely deserved one sentence anywhere in the Bible? If it were true.

Do not have false hope. Of course we all want pre tribulation rapture but we need to be tested and experience the ultimate test. We will experience the tribulation and need to stand firm as Paul says and tell people not to take the mark of the beast cause if they do, they will go to hell and not be saved. But if only unbelievers r here then it doesn’t make sense to have this great deception and mark of the beast if they r all going to hell anyway. Not that’s my personal opinion, now for the Biblical proof is in Thessalonians saying whoever is alive and left at the end will be raised but certainly not before the dead in Christ. With all due respect, the actual pretrib teaching about the Rapture is that it happens before the 7-year tribulation but does NOT start it. It's the signing of the treaty between the AC and Israel that starts the tribulation. As for the first argument, I always understood that the Christians asking Paul were upset because they thought the Rapture had occurred but they had been left behind. Why therefore would Paul reassure them by telling them that the reason it can't have occurred is that they are still here: it wouldn't reassure them.
Correct the seven year tribulation is tied in with the peace treaty that will finally come for Israel and Palinstine and other potential aggressors . A better explanation of the premillenial dispensational view would say the day of the Lord is a long time, a series of events which contains other things. The tribulation is included in the day of the Lord so you would not say the day of the Lord follows the tribulation. The tribulation (occupying most of Revelation) is a time of massive judgement on the earth like the day of the Lord period in Isaiah 2, 13, Ezekiel 30, Joel, Amos 5v18-20.
The Day of the LORD is an idiom still used today. "In my day a new car cost more than the gas to drive it home." A day can mean the time period of special significance, an era, a lifespan, etc.
I'm not religious at all but I have a question. If judgement day is supposed to be 50,000 years, does that mean, according to Genesis, that God created the earth in 300,000 years rather than 6 days. Did he rest for 50,000 years? Could a biblical day actually be 50,000 years in relation to divine entities? edit: So if judgement day is 50,000 years, that would be 18,250,000 human relative days. with a population of about 7.9 billion, that means God would have to judge 433 people each human relative day or 18 people an hour. .3 people a minute.

Why is not the “relief” In 2 Thessalonians 1:6 the believers being raptured & then with the Lord for 7 years, and the “Repay with affliction THOSE” the unbeliever entering into the Great Tribulation? Of course “those” are not just those specific people who are afflicting those specific believers but all those (at the time of the rapture) who are afflicting the believers. Yes, the vengeance will be at His coming, but it could be the 3 1/2 years of God pouring out His wrath leading up to His coming. I am not dogmatic about the pre-trib rapture, but it seems like it could go either way.
What do you do with Isa 26:18-20? What chamber with a door is being talked about? What do you do with Rev 12, is it an event that already happened and if so why is it in the middle of Revelation? Why would we need to know of an event that happened over 2000 years ago? Who is it in Rev 19:14 that is clothed in fine linen if it is not rapture believers? They come out of heaven, and how come there is no mention of the dead rising and the believers rising up to meet Christ in Rev 19? We are told it is the marriage of the lamb. Why are the virgins waiting? If we are rapture at the end, we know the exact day of His coming, because we know the date of the abomination? With all do respect, you are hanging a lot on terms like "meet", and "appearance".
I disagree, a lot of chronology is found there. If not what is its purpose? Is God wasting our time on something that is all symbols? I have never found God to put anything in the scriptures for no reason. He expects us to dig and pull His entire word together into His logical understandable plan. But if the whole purpose of the book is to provide symbols that mean something, then there is no waste of time. The book of Revelation is a book of symbols, where things in John's visionary world correspond to things in our real world. That is the whole nature of the book. It isn't like a series of photographs of things that will happen. So, for example, in Rev 13 we read of 2 animals with heads and horns etc. These are symbols. We are not supposed to think that these 2 animals will some day literally exist. Similarly, the 144,000 redeemed in chs. 7 and 14 is a symbolic number: 12 x 12 x 1000. It doesn't mean that there will literally be 144,000 of the redeemed.
The early church fathers around 100-300 AD also believed in a pre-trib. See Ken Johnson's book The Rapture. The idea was not invented by Darby in 1830.

@@Mikeman07825 If the promise to Philadelphia was a promise of a pretrib escape for the church, I feel bad for us all. 1) There were 7 churches in Asia Minor addressed in the Revelation. Only ONE of the seven was given that promise...the one that had already proven themselves faithful in severe persecution. All seven were claimed by Jesus as HIS CHURCH, only one promise. So, first off, if there is a pre-trib rapture, based on that alone the western church gets left out of the promise. 2) The word that the KJV translated as "Keep you from" (tereo) means to "Guard, support to allow one to stay in the place they are in." It was NOT a promise to whisk them off the planet, so they never had to face pain or death. It was a much more valuable, eternal promise. He would guard the SOULS of those suffering in tribulation so that they would not apostatize and lose everything. 3) If it was a promise of escape from the physical pains it was a failed promise. That very church (and the other 6 as well) was destroyed by the very same empire that followed the Romans (Rev. 17) and will (IMO) revive in the end of the Latter Days as the Beast Empire of Daniel and Revelation.

John Piper's argument based on the Greek word parousia, which means 'coming', is a good one. Here is a modified form of the argument: In 2 Thess 2:2, 'the day of the Lord' refers to the occasion when God will judge sinners. In 2 Thess 2:8, parousia refers to the occasion when God will judge sinners. So the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 is the same occasion as 'the day of the Lord' of 2 Thess 2:2. In 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15), parousia refers to the occasion of the rapture. It makes sense to think that the parousia of 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15) is the same as the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8. Otherwise we would have to say that Paul uses the same Greek word in the same passage with 2 very different referents and without any indication in the context that he is changing referent. That would be very strange, to say the least. So because the parousia of 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15) refers to the occasion of the rapture, the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 also refers to the occasion of the rapture. Because the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 refers to the same occasion as 'the day of the Lord' of 2 Thess 2:2, 'the day of the Lord' in 2 Thess 2:2 is referring to the same occasion as the rapture. So God will judge sinners on the day of the rapture, not 7 years later.
Please answer these questions: 1) How many times does our Lord return? 2) Will we all die? 3) When is judgment? 4) Will we all face judgment? 5) What 2 or 3 verses from different prophets tell us "the church will be raptured" before the last day? I ask you to use scripture, not opinion....use verses to answer these simple questions.
In Revelation chapter 9 it says Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. The only people that will have the seal of God on their foreheads will be people out of the 12 tribes of Israel, so Piper must believe that if you are a true born again Christian and not from one of the 12 tribes and you are here for that moment you will be tormented because those “locust” will be tormenting everyone without that seal on their forehead. There’s no indication anywhere in Revelation at that point and after that Christians are being protected by God from the wrath of God but it clearly states His chosen from the 12 tribes of Israel are, how strange to omit any mention of true born again believers unless they are not there.
Those from the 12 tribes of Israel stand for all God's saved people including Christians in New Covenant times. It is the same sort of idea that we find in, e.g., Gal 3:7: 'You know, then, that those who have faith, these are Abraham's sons.' Christians are spiritual sons of Abraham, i.e., spiritual Jews.
Let all stead fast in their belief. This belief will not save anyone or acceptable to Jesus Christ. In world famous films the scenario is unfolded. The villain comes and do all his atrocities to his adversary the good character and then defeated. I have never find any clear scripture of seven year special tribulations for end time believers only. So many different views on rapture, Tribulation, etc. It drives me crazy! Is John piper right? Maybe, maybe not. Is John Macarthur right? Maybe, maybe not. Is any preacher in the US or here in England right? Maybe, maybe not. Only God knows. May we who believe keep looking to Jesus and not rely on multiple voices with differing views.
There is no pre trib rapture!! I am still waiting for one person to show one verse in scripture that says there is a rapture before the tribulation of the last days. Desiring God, it's typical of John Piper to show his ignorance of the Bible AGAIN. John Piper also uses an erroneous Bible translation, which goes nicely with his erroneous beliefs. Some men that I have respected for years. This is so clear in Thessalonians. I would say thirdly, that right in the first few verses We are warned to not be deceived. My belief is Many/ Millions of Christians will simply fall away because of this false belief! More people need to read through the Bible for themselves and stop relying so much about being taught. My heart is overflowing with joy and expectancy for Jesus to return and establish His kingdom on the earth and I get to MARVEL at His ruling the earth in perfect justice and righteousness and I get the privilege to be His emissary in the playing out of practical righteousness and justice in the land, using the gifts he’s so graciously given me. Pretty amazing that 2 great teachers like Dr Piper and Dr MacArthur have opposite positions on this issue. As a young Christian I went from pretrib to posttrib and back as I found both positions could be successfully argued from the texts. Till I thought of Enoch raptured before the Flood and Noah and his family being taken out of it, and later of Lot and his family being taken out of Sodom before its destruction. There seems to be a clear pattern there. Recently my view was strengthened by 5 things: 1st the Church is absent from Revelation from ch 4 (and come up here) till the last chapters. 2nd The tribulation is called the time of Jacob's trouble: it concerns Israel and its salvation, not the Church. It's also the time of God's wrath, His wrath cannot be unleashed against Christ's bride 3) Jesus's words "if those times weren't shortened, no one would be saved" only makes sense if there's a millennium right after the 2nd Coming where those people who survived the tribulation will live. 4) I'm told that the first disciples expected Christ's return at any time till after the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD and the dispersion of Israel, then they knew it wasn't going to happen soon. Finally dispensationalism (applied to eschatology only) explained many things I could not understand about Scriptures. We will see whether the marriage of the Lamb takes place in Heaven during the tribulation on earth or after. :) In any case, Maranatha, Lord Jesus!

I greatly appreciate Pastor John’s straightforward, common-sense interpretation and teaching of these and other pertaining passages (his conclusions are the same as my own). Given that some respected reformed teachers draw conclusions from these scriptures that make me sometimes wonder why I even bother reading and trying to understand the Bible for myself, this approach re-enforces my belief that scripture was meant to be understood by the common believer.

I believe this to be correct, besides the part where Jesus doesn't go back to heaven. The Day is revealed in the 6th seal, but right after that the saints that have been through the tribulation are standing before the throne and before the Lamb. This makes me think that Jesus is going to come rescue the saints before His wrath is poured out upon the earth, but I do agree that this is after the tribulation. I'm open for someone to reason this out with. I have pondered these things and I desire to know the truth about it.

I think what makes people believe the pretrib is that nobody wants to be here when the antichrist is persecuting and killing God's people. That desire to not be here causes many people to twist the scriptures to say what they want it to say. Jesus was quite plain in matthew 24. It's even plain in the opening of the seals in Revelation when the saints that die during that time ask God how long before he would come and avenge their deaths.. He says just a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. Then he opens the 6th seal and the sun and moon go dark just like in matthew 24:29. Add that with what Daniel said and there you go.

When we meet Christ in the air(the rapture) there’s no judgment. They’re different.
The subject of those verses is the dead in Christ specifically. We may not reasonably say that we are given the full picture of other things that will happen. Nowhere do those verses say, "and there was no judgment."

I was concerned why very known preachers of sound doctrine that I respect and hear were saying pre rapture. For a moment i thought could I be wrong? For many years I have believed in Christ coming at the end. My eyes were opened by only reading carefully Matthew 24. With my husband now we are teaching it and warning believers to wake up and change their ways. Some believers don't like even hearing that Christ is coming soon. Shouldn't this be out blessed hope and joy?

You cannot make a pre-trib rapture work without manipulating the scriptures and discarding what Jesus said, altogether.

Do not have false hope. Of course we all want pre tribulation rapture but we need to be tested and experience the ultimate test. So stop looking up like Paul told the Thessalonians, Jesus is not coming back until the man of lawlessness is revealed. We will experience the tribulation and need to stand firm as Paul says and tell people not to take the mark of the beast cause if they do, they will go to hell and not be saved. But if only unbelievers r here then it doesn’t make sense to have this great deception and mark of the beast if they r all going to hell anyway. Not that’s my personal opinion, now for the Biblical proof is in Thessalonians saying whoever is alive and left at the end will be raised but certainly not before the dead in Christ. So after the tribulation, Jesus comes back, raises the dead in Christ, and then the alive in Christ. The Temple of God is the church. Christ is the cheif cornerstone and individual believers are living stones, built on the foundation of the Prophets and Apostles. Jesus said in Matt 23 second to last verse in the chapter, to the Jews that their house would be left desolate. Don't be deceived they will never be permitted to sacrifice ever again as Jesus is the perfect sacrifice. Daniel's 70th week already took place during the earthly ministry of Jesus.
You should read Luke 21:22 too. It’s cross reference with Matt24:15, Mark13:14 and Daniel9:26,27.

Think about it
1) It’s highly unlikely that animal sacrifice will be continued, even if the temple is physically rebuilt. If you watch closely, the slow upcoming one world religion is moving in a ‘sustainable save the planet peace on earth’ direction, meanwhile waging war against eating meat (animal products), food that makes us strong.
2) It’s also highly unlikely that somebody will literally proclaim himself God, and people will believe that. A mental asylum is the more likely next stop for such a person.
And the first halve of Dan9:27 is about Jesus. The 70th week started with His ministry (3,5 years), He was the fulfillment and keeper of the covenant (with Abraham). In the middle of that week He died on the cross, ending the sacrifices (made clear by ripping the veil). The next 3,5 years was the preaching of the Gospel exclusively to the Jews. Until the death of Stefan.
Than the believers where scattered and the Gospel goes definit to the gentils and the fate over Jerusalem was sealed. That’s the second halve of that verse.

Or, the apostle could be refuting the claims of false teachers that the rapture had occurred (1Th 4) and the day of the Lord had already begun (1Th 5). The day of the Lord is a period of time vs. a single climactic event, indicated in v.2 by the word ἐνέστηκεν, “has already begun” (NLT). Many would see this period as a pouring forth of God’s final judgments on the remaining inhabitants of the earth (cf. Rev 6:16-17). Paul identifies the key events to take place during this final period of fallen human history, culminating in the visible return of Christ to the earth (v.8; cf. 2Th 1:7-10).
The Lord Jesus originally described this period of time using similar language (which Paul echoes), and warns believers to “Keep alert at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man” (Lk 21v.36).

Thank you Pastor Piper for your commitment to the Lord and his church. But I disagree. Jesus said in John 14 that he is coming back for us and that we will be with him. John the baptiser said who have warned you to flee from the wrath to come in Matthew 3. Also Paul said in 1 thessalonians 1 that God has not appointed us to wrath. But to optain salvation. With all due respect, the actual pretrib teaching about the Rapture is that it happens before the 7-year tribulation but does NOT start it. It's the signing of the treaty between the AC and Israel that starts the tribulation. As for the first argument, I always understood that the Christians asking Paul were upset because they thought the Rapture had occurred but they had been left behind. Why therefore would Paul reassure them by telling them that the reason it can't have occurred is that they are still here: it wouldn't reassure them.
Correct the seven year tribulation is tied in with the peace treaty that will finally come for Israel and Palinstine and other potential aggressors . The Antichrist will be the one likely to bring it and then the third temple gets built and the Antichrist will go into the temple 3.5 years into tribulation ( abomination of desolation) and reveal his true intentions.

A better explanation of the premillenial dispensational view would say the day of the Lord is a long time, a series of events which contains other things. The tribulation is included in the day of the Lord so you would not say the day of the Lord follows the tribulation. The tribulation (occupying most of Revelation) is a time of massive judgement on the earth like the day of the Lord period in Isaiah 2, 13, Ezekiel 30, Joel, Amos 5v18-20.
The Day of the LORD is an idiom still used today. "In my day a new car cost more than the gas to drive it home." A day can mean the time period of special significance, an era, a lifespan, etc.
I'm not religious at all but I have a question. If judgement day is supposed to be 50,000 years, does that mean, according to Genesis, that God created the earth in 300,000 years rather than 6 days. Did he rest for 50,000 years? Could a biblical day actually be 50,000 years in relation to divine entities?

Why is not the “relief” In 2 Thessalonians 1:6 the believers being raptured & then with the Lord for 7 years, and the “Repay with affliction THOSE” the unbeliever entering into the Great Tribulation? Of course “those” are not just those specific people who are afflicting those specific believers but all those (at the time of the rapture) who are afflicting the believers. Yes, the vengeance will be at His coming, but it could be the 3 1/2 years of God pouring out His wrath leading up to His coming. I am not dogmatic about the pre-trib rapture, but it seems like it could go either way.

Who is it in Rev 19:14 that is clothed in fine linen if it is not rapture believers? They come out of heaven, and how come there is no mention of the dead rising and the believers rising up to meet Christ in Rev 19? We are told it is the marriage of the lamb.

The book of Revelation isn't meant to be taken in chronological order. It recaps a lot.
I disagree, a lot of chronology is found there. If not what is its purpose? Is God wasting our time on something that is all symbols? I have never found God to put anything in the scriptures for no reason. He expects us to dig and pull His entire word together into His logical understandable plan.

So, for example, in Rev 13 we read of 2 animals with heads and horns etc. These are symbols. We are not supposed to think that these 2 animals will some day literally exist.
Similarly, the 144,000 redeemed in chs. 7 and 14 is a symbolic number: 12 x 12 x 1000. It doesn't mean that there will literally be 144,000 of the redeemed.
The pre trib is only taught in the western world and it has only been an idea for about 100 years ,
The early church fathers around 100-300 AD also believed in a pre-trib. See Ken Johnson's book The Rapture. The idea was not invented by Darby in 1830.

1) There were 7 churches in Asia Minor addressed in the Revelation. Only ONE of the seven was given that promise...the one that had already proven themselves faithful in severe persecution. All seven were claimed by Jesus as HIS CHURCH, only one promise. So, first off, if there is a pre-trib rapture, based on that alone the western church gets left out of the promise.
2) The word that the KJV translated as "Keep you from" (tereo) means to "Guard, support to allow one to stay in the place they are in." It was NOT a promise to whisk them off the planet, so they never had to face pain or death. It was a much more valuable, eternal promise. He would guard the SOULS of those suffering in tribulation so that they would not apostatize and lose everything.
3) If it was a promise of escape from the physical pains it was a failed promise. That very church (and the other 6 as well) was destroyed by the very same empire that followed the Romans (Rev. 17) and will (IMO) revive in the end of the Latter Days as the Beast Empire of Daniel and Revelation.

John Piper's argument based on the Greek word parousia, which means 'coming', is a good one. Here is a modified form of the argument:
In 2 Thess 2:2, 'the day of the Lord' refers to the occasion when God will judge sinners.
In 2 Thess 2:8, parousia refers to the occasion when God will judge sinners.
So the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 is the same occasion as 'the day of the Lord' of 2 Thess 2:2.
In 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15), parousia refers to the occasion of the rapture.
It makes sense to think that the parousia of 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15) is the same as the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8. Otherwise we would have to say that Paul uses the same Greek word in the same passage with 2 very different referents and without any indication in the context that he is changing referent. That would be very strange, to say the least.
So because the parousia of 2 Thess 2:1 (and 1 Thess 4:15) refers to the occasion of the rapture, the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 also refers to the occasion of the rapture.
Because the parousia of 2 Thess 2:8 refers to the same occasion as 'the day of the Lord' of 2 Thess 2:2, 'the day of the Lord' in 2 Thess 2:2 is referring to the same occasion as the rapture.
So God will judge sinners on the day of the rapture, not 7 years later.
Please answer these questions:
1) How many times does our Lord return?
2) Will we all die?
3) When is judgment?
4) Will we all face judgment?
5) What 2 or 3 verses from different prophets tell us "the church will be raptured" before the last day?
I ask you to use scripture, not opinion....use verses to answer these simple questions.

In Revelation chapter 9 it says
Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
The only people that will have the seal of God on their foreheads will be people out of the 12 tribes of Israel, so Piper must believe that if you are a true born again Christian and not from one of the 12 tribes and you are here for that moment you will be tormented because those “locust” will be tormenting everyone without that seal on their forehead. There’s no indication anywhere in Revelation at that point and after that Christians are being protected by God from the wrath of God but it clearly states His chosen from the 12 tribes of Israel are, how strange to omit any mention of true born again believers unless they are not there.
Those from the 12 tribes of Israel stand for all God's saved people including Christians in New Covenant times. It is the same sort of idea that we find in, e.g., Gal 3:7:
'You know, then, that those who have faith, these are Abraham's sons.'
Christians are spiritual sons of Abraham, i.e., spiritual Jews.

The villain comes and do all his atrocities to his adversary the good character and then defeated. Then the good character pardon him and give another chance .The villain did never change his ways and try to kill the other. Then he was killed finally. All are satisfied in the film. That is applied in return of Christ. That is all. The villains who were not changed for 70 years will not change in seven years. God know everything will act accordingly. I have never find any clear scripture of seven year special tribulations for end time believers only. That is the end time believers are the only worst sinners and their sin is above the sins of all others live before it and died. That is not sensible and righteousness in the part of God.

There is no pre trib rapture!! I am still waiting for one person to show one verse in scripture that says there is a rapture before the tribulation of the last days. But anyone who actually studies scripture can show many verses saying Jesus is coming back on the last day .
