Thank you for these points 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 😎. I have been saying for the longest time that christians should be concerned with following the scriptures and not the ideology of whatever political party.
Both the left and right can push things that are for God, but they can also push things that are against God, and even though the perception in society is that christian lean more right, and that the right seems to agree with us more on some issues 🤔.
At the end of the day a true christian should follow God's word more than politics, society, or whatever else.
What people dont understand and dont want to believe, is that when christ historically was first drawn, he was on concrete and ceramics portrayed as a very pale white male. This is because the middle easterners were not actually the first to portray christ in imagery, it was actually Christian Greeks who also likewise followed the septuagint. Christ his whole life learned the jewish bible, the torah thru the septuagint. Which was considered a reliable translation from the old testament that was hebrew into greek. This was originally created by the pharaoh at the time who happened to have been of greek descent, due to the fact that he did not know hebrew and did not want to learn it, so he hired top jewish scholars to write it in greek with top translators. This was also the time that 120k jews were dragged to egypt from judea.
Its arguable that greece has always been racially diverse. Racism wasnt so much of a thing as much as basic prejudice was worldwide mutually via nation against nation christ being notified as white has been around since inception, the muslims even percieved him as white or the very least, fair skinned. This was some 200-300 bc. Its possible christ could have been "aryan" or any other race for that matter if his ancestors were greeks in egypt, as he also read the septuagint, which one would assume was done so via his upbringing.
Ray Comfort's channel (Just Witnessing) did a video showing how soft his answers were.
I was horrified at his irreverence and compromised answers.
He played right into their hands.

I think I've seen "blonde and blue eyed" Jesus only once in a film (and it was in Jesus appearing to a person in a vision in modern times, not when He walked the earth).

I’m from NH, a demographic that is 96% white, and I’ve never seen a blond hair blue eyed Jesus in any church I’ve been in here.
I haven't either...he was always olive skinned and dark hair with blue eyes...but many jews have blue eyes...it not just white people...I don't know what color his eyes were ...it doesn't matter...he is my Lord and Savior.
My thought too. Never saw or heard of a blond, blue-eyed Jesus, anywhere, ever nor would I expect or want to. Common sense tells us what sort of features he would likely have had given where he was born and raised.
@@Holly-days I think they are referring to the medieval paintings of Jesus, which are always fair skinned, blue eyed, and blonde haired. I grew up with the Robert Powell version of Jesus, in that mini series about Jesus that was on TV every Easter, and he was very fair, blue eyed, and lighter haired, and I remember thinking as a kid that that wasn’t how Jesus would’ve looked, being a Middle Eastern Jew.
True but areas do have a blonde blue eyed Jesus and some have darker versions it’s because people always made him look like them because we are in his image so their image of that was probably how they looked.

To portray messiah is blasphemy when you act on things you know not, so we must see these fake scripted things while backstage, running a show in front of screens creating more fake detailed things that are not in scripture. We must see the wrong in these things (t.v shows and movies). That's why GOD doesn't want images because images can trick us and confuse us. We need to stick to reading and listening to scripture. Considering it's the past, these things already happened and we are not there to see in person, then it should not be played upon. Even if one thinks it's for the better good. You can not serve two masters and many do sin thinking they are at least bringing people to the Lord, but that should not be the case. That's not holy, godbless brothers and sister. Pray for wisdom. Actually there are a few contemporary accounts of Jesus that give a description of him. They all agree that he had light hair and blue eyes, his hair was shoulder length and parted in the middle. He had a beard the same color as his beard. These sources are a letter from the Mayor of Jerusalem to the Senate in Rome, accounts from the Jewish historian, Josephus, amongst others. Another source is the Holy Quran which says Jesus was red and gold with blue eyes.
Blue eyes sprung up in Turkey 6500 years ago. They are represented in some artworks from ancient Egypt and other Countries of the Middle East. The Pharoah Ramses the Great had red hair and light eyes and his father Seti I had blonde hair.
What makes people say that ? The only reference to his looks I have ever seen was in a letter from Pilate to Rome(Caesar), were he described Jesus as having "Golden hair"

The kingdom of Heaven is not a political entity. It transcends nations and earthly kingdoms. It represents all the followers of Jesus everywhere and anywhere.
Respect to Jonathan Roumie for going on the View and helping many tv viewers to think about Jesus, many of whom may have not fully embraced Him yet.
If someone is a regular "The View" watcher, with all the hatefulness those women spew out, it's a pretty good guess they have not fully embraced Jesus.
Jonathan Roumie is a great actor and he his promoting the Chosen Season 4 on the View. Everyone is in show business. That is all.

Jesus was for sure full of control, but also full of power and fire for the Lord.
Why anyone would follow this show is beyond me, Christians glued to their tv god looking to be entertained. This guy said that before he got the lead role he wanted to get permission from his dead friend so he sat on his grave with his rosery and prayed to hear from him. He was trying to conjure up a spirit, That is witchcraft it is sorcery it is divination. He is a roman Catholic which is full of idolatry they still raise up the dead bones of saints and pray to them. Christians still following this show have no discernment.

My heart goes out to Jonathan because people blur the lines of him as a real person, playing a man who was named Jesus. I saw him in person and people were physically dropping to their knees, screaming out JESUS, kissing his hands, weeping and seeing him as a sign. Not just wanting pics but wanting him to bless them. That is a lot of weight. He says "Hi Im Jonathan I play a character named Jesus" to reorient them but you feel odd saying leave me alone when people think you're Jesus. Some even said "I can feel your divine nature." that has to be exhausting.

I was born in 1961 and have attended several different Protestant churches as well as Catholic throughout that time. In all of those years, I have NEVER seen Jesus pictured with blonde hair and blue eyes! Where has she seen Jesus pictured like this?

@CraigHunter-ls4oz The Holy Family and the apostles, before the internet, have always been depicted by christians in each continent with the same characteristics of that continent. Because when people would imagine them and the events of the gospel, they would imagine with elements that they were used to in their own lives, so it included their race. And churches never brought a prohibition on this of any kind. Also because in Our Ladies apparitions, she'd appear with the appearance of the locals, as she did in Guadalupe and Akita. So naturally, Europeans depicted Jesus the way they felt connected.
I agree. I have never, ever saw a blonde haired, blue eyed Jesus. Always dark hair, dark eyes. the white skin was something that by the time I was in the 8th grade I knew was inaccurate. But, it seems that these demons on the View are attempting to link the "white man's depiction of Jesus" as something "Hitler-esk." Nope. But, the typical person that watches the View is probably morally corrupted by the demons that have possessed those women who are on the View.

There are some weaknesses in the presentation but the producers of The Chosen, themselves, have clearly stated that you should not be using their depiction as a replacement for the Bible. But I think it is one of the most accurate depictions I've ever seen outside the actual Word of the Bible.
Joy "That's the Jesus we love." .....Everybody loves their Father when he is handing out all the love, but they soon change when he starts telling them to stick to the letter of his law. Sonny later says "Jesus would be the Grand marshal at the pride parade." I was never so disgusted by a statement in my life, how utterly wrong she would be.

The abortion Holocaust in America has killed more than ten times as many people as the Nazis did. God may not have a political party, but the devil has a clear favorite, and maturing Christians should not continue making common cause with them.
When I saw this clip I could not help to think that the Holy Spirit was with him. Typically when some of us are faced with this, we tend to get tense, nervous or defensive. He spoke with such peace and kindness. It was such a great example for all of us as Christians on how to approach this type of situation.

I was born in 1943. Was a believer ofJesus Christ & the Trinity from a young age. ALWAYS NEW Jesus was Jewish. Always knew about the ‘conflicts’ in the Middle East. Have seen pictures of brown haired Jesus …. But always Jewish. Am now a Roman Catholic (in spite of society, 💗). Have never seen a pic of Jesus as blonde there either. May God have mercy and give us all strength to see when someone is trying to ‘twist’ scripture to suit society.

So, how do you get to heaven?
The reason some Churches have a white Jesus is because worshiping an Arab-looking Jesus was a problem for European Christians in the Middle Ages.
European countries were very mono-ethnic in the Middle Ages, and Arab-looking people were often associated with MusIim invaders, so worshiping a Jesus that looked even remotely similar to the MusIims was uncommon.
Although I do not appreciate the whitewashing of our Lord, I am still eternally grateful for the Europeans who resisted the (attempted) forcefuI lsIamization of Europe.
Just imagine what the world would look like without a strong Christendom in Medieval Europe to prevent the spread of lsIam...

I really like the point that you brought up about not allowing a political party view to over take our duty to Christ and our faith. I got really into politics when I was 23 but found that I was slowly letting my political party become my "religion" and my faith was only a secondary. Fortunately I have decided to cut back on how much politics is in my life and have re-focused myself to Christ and our Heavenly Father. I feel much better, closer to God and stronger in my faith for this decision. I also find that I am loving my fellow men much more as well.

As God is who He is our relationship with Him is tangibly tied to our worship of Him e.g the definition of religion(the belief in and worship of a superhuman power or powers, especially a God or gods.). Worship and belief in God is religion- and I’m sure we would both agree that those are necessary for a relationship. Religion and modern politics are not the same thing- be careful in falling into that trap of misconstruing the idea of religion.

Americans are geographically tarded. I went to Guyana, it’s in South America. Friends would ask where I had been when I got back and I’d tell them “Guyana in South America.” And they’d try arguing with me saying Guyana is in Africa…. “No, Ghana is in Africa, Guyana is north of Brazil and east of Venezuela.” They’d keep arguing with me, even though most of them have never left North America……

I was so elated about a month ago or so when I listened to a sermon from St. Patrick’s Cathedral in NYC. The priest boldly spoke about the sanctity of life! It’s doctrine but not always spoken about in recent years. They have been hosting speakers with traditional views! A breath of fresh air in these times, especially in NYC.

I think we often associate such turns as triggering b/c the left often use them. But to assume that every injustice that the left brings up is automatically false b/c the attention to the issue is arriving from the left is foolish. I’m not approving everything the left is pushing. But I think we, Christians, often forget that Jesus was not political…. He brought his own kingdom, with its own rules, and its own sense of justice that truthfully, I don’t think He would approve of many of the conduct, policies, and behaviors of the modern republican or democrat leaders. @@JW-fq1ec I've heard that line so many times over the years, but the fact is Jesus didn't "hang around with" sinners- except in the sense we're all sinners. Jesus would socialize with prostitutes and tax collectors insofar as he would treat them as human while telling them the Truth and imploring them to turn away from wickedness. His entreaties were shocking because those folks were seen as untouchable, but just the same- he was showing them humanity, while warning them to shape up. Not just saying hey guys let's hang out and see how cool we all are with each other.
So I applaud him as well, if he's going there to spread the Word. If he's going there to look hip and pretend we're all the same, that's not so Christlike. But I didn't watch the full interview, so I can't render too much judgement!
(And in case it wasn't clear I don't say this to sound harsh. I love the radical inclusivity of Christ and hope to emulate the same, but I worry too much of the Church in America is just turning into a modern version of the same popularity contest that we saw in the old testament, taking on the evil ways of the world in hopes of remaining relevant.)
