Yeah, Rodgers had is deal restructured ($1.15 mil cap) to accommodate Adams and others. Funny, nobody says Mahomes is "selfish" after his 1/2 billion dollar deal.
@@pl1532 because his deal was team friendly from the jump. Everyone said that. The packers are managed horribly. Skip can say what he want. They made Aaron mad and they didn't hold devante..... way to go
The trade doesn’t happen if Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want it to happen. The fact is Aaron Rodgers got his money and he didn’t care about Devante Adams. I understand playing for the Raiders and with Derek Carr was a dream scenario for him…but if Rodgers cared about him being there, he’d still would be a Packer.
He was gone a long time ago, after buying a house in Vegas. The Packers putting the tag on him was a great chess move. We know have 4 draft pics in the first 59, and now forcing Rodgers to spread the ball out. BTW, we have Cobb and Lazard. Dependable and cheap. Expect GB to pursue at least 2 talented WRs this draft when its been 20 years since they targeted one at second or third round talent.
See, I got to disagree with you here. We’re talking about Davante Adams here. Ruggs was a decent player but you can’t pass on a top 3 receiver in the league when you have cap space and picks to give up just because you have Henry Ruggs.
Rodgers got Adams his money, he threw him open many times to his own detriment. If Adams is drafted to any other team and being rough around the edges he might have been cut and never have transcended to the level he’s at now. I remember Adams first couple of seasons and I wanted him gone but he proved me wrong. Rodgers can make unbelievable throws that give decent receivers a chance to make the catch and Adams benefited from that ability so it’s not like college where the talent levels are so vast. Carr might do what Rodgers did for him but I expect a drop in production in a packed AFC west division. I’m just happy his is making his money now.
By selling high on a guy turning 30? I mean how much more top 10 WR years could they get left? 2? Sounds smart to me. The dude wasn’t gonna play on the tag, clearly wanted to go play with his former college teammate, so instead of trying to tag him and Adams sitting the year, they sold at the peak value for him.
It's not a L on the packs side it's a win, he wanted that money and usually money gets to your head. He might have a few good games and thats it. He has Carr throwing to him not rodgers anymore. Now the pack can get a cheaper number 1 wr and go on with winning games and going to the sb.
@@XxSofaKingDopexX easier said than done lol. #1 "wide receivers" at Adams level... good luck 😂😂😂 and you know it. Talking all calm and complacent like A Rod will still put up those same numbers. Your WR ALWAYS makes you better. Raiders won this off season hands down, with the addition of Chandler Jones. Finally the Raiders have a head coach and leadership in the front office that understand what it's going to take to win. Especially in the AFC WEST. Never seen anything like this in my 34 years of living and I'm SO GEEKED FOR THE SEASON TO START!!!!🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Chiefs: Mahomes, Hill, Kelce Broncos: Wilson, Jeudy, Patrick Jr, Sutton, Hamler Chargers: Herbert, Mike Williams, Keenan Allen Raiders: Carr, Adams, Renfrow, Waller The AFC West is going to be a bloodbath
Davante is the best receiver in football with the best QB in football throwing to him. His performance will take a significant hit from leaving #12. It’s just the nature of the position. Don’t blame the guy for leaving. I’ll still wear his jersey next year but it will be green and gold. My packers were in trouble with or without him. The great #12 need to prove to us he can get it done in the post season.
Whether Aaron knew before or after is still an indictment against him. If he knew before, that means he basically signed off on them trading him and getting paid the most money in the NFL.
Imagine getting someone a bag and send-off for two high picks YOU need and the media vilified Rodgers. 😆 Rodgers made sure his teammate got paid and worked with his GM for a cap solution. Win-Win
So he’s the GM? For all he knew Adams told him he might want to leave and that’s it. Adams was offered the same offer the Raiders were and still chose to leave. How is that on Aaron in any way? Adams already bought a house in Vegas a bit ago so he had his mind made up. The Packers got all the could for a guy turning 30. The clock was on Adams anyway. How many more years was GB gonna get Top 10 talent in return? 2 years? Might as well sell now and get multiple picks while the value is at its highest. Davante said he wasn’t gonna play on a tag. That means he was gonna request a trade down the line anyway. Aaron had no say, and the Packers responded appropriately by giving Adams what he wanted
It is telling that the best WR in the game says he’d rather play with Derek Carr than Aaron Rodgers. Adams I’m sure was tired of Rodgers always no showing in the playoffs. Rodgers gets to play with Cobb and Lazard now lmao good luck
The move was great for both teams but the ignorance I see from some salty fans is astonishing. Carr just carried a team with now head coach, no #1 WR, and a spotty o-line and running game to a playoff birth over Herbert and the stacked Chargers roster. Give him Adams, Renfrow, and Waller on the field at the same time and the man is going to tear teams apart. But seriously, hold on to the damn ball in the pocket.
With Greenbay's team as it stands, we'll see exactly what Mr. Immunized is able to do. Truth is,come playoff time,we know he'll perform another choke job as per usual.
Why people blaming Roger's? Umm who tweeted this Summer "last dance" Adam's. So those two talked about this. Why didnt the Packers say no to trade? Cause they feel guilty. Roger's had nothing to do with this. It was a great business decision for both. Adam's have 4 years with Raiders, maybe 1 0r 2 with Rogers if signed. Should have signed Adam's 2years ago...Either way, you dont come back and say ohhh we will match what Raiders offer. STOOOOPPPP trying to have Adam's and Rogers against each other
Really happy for Davante - nobody (in their right mind) can say he didn't deserve his new salary, and, evidently, he'll play with a team that actually appreciate him, not just tolerate him.
I think once Davante started sticking up for Aaron over the off season and essentially speaking out on the organization, I don't think they wanted to bring Davante back tbh
I like how Skip makes up a complete narrative about how davante feels about arod. The guy wanted to leave greenbay. Hes young and wants to enjoy life in a city that isnt completely dead. Arod getting his contract freed money up to sign more players. It had nothing to do with not being able to resign davante. Also Rodgers has won before Davante and is 7-0 with him missing games. Adams is great and will be great where ever he goes, but lets not pretend like he made Arod.

There were 7 games this year and last year when Davante didn’t play and the Packers were 7-0. Just a thought.🧐
Just because the Packers were 7-0 without Adams last year, doesn't mean they're Super Bowl contenders. The 2018-19 went 17-5 without Kawhi Leonard, but anyone with a brain knew that they don't win an NBA Championship without him.
@@chrismathgenius Lmao. Well basketball and football are already two vastly different sports. On top of the fact Kawhi is a VASTLY better player and more impactful player than some damn davante adams 😂😂😂
@@chrismathgenius Oh and third for why your scenario doesn’t is because the Raptors actually won a chip with Kawhi the Packers won nothing with Adams so letting him go and winning nothing without him changes absolutely nothing.
@@cheerioss-9121 The sports may be different, but my point still stands. You must look at the context of that record. So, Buffalo in the East, Titans in the South, and then it gets fun seeing which 5 of the 7 contending teams in North and West duke it out for the remaining playoff spots.
NFC west is still the toughest Div in the NFL .

Bruhhhh he still doing it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The trade doesn’t happen if Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want it to happen. The fact is Aaron Rodgers got his money and he didn’t care about Devante Adams. I understand playing for the Raiders and with Derek Carr was a dream scenario for him…but if Rodgers cared about him being there, he’d still would be a Packer.
Vante is a grown man bruh he can make his own decisions. This ain’t madden franchise mode lol
It’s crazy if Henry Ruggs never got in trouble this move doesn’t happen for the raiders
He’s more than in trouble
@@josenunez611 we get it bro. stop being weird
See, I got to disagree with you here. We’re talking about Davante Adams here. Ruggs was a decent player but you can’t pass on a top 3 receiver in the league when you have cap space and picks to give up just because you have Henry Ruggs.
I think he would of been included in the package
He was in a rookie contract, even with him it happens

Congrats Packers U Played Ya self 💯💯💯💯

Reports say green bay offered Adams more
Imagine getting someone a bag and send-off for two high picks YOU need and the media vilified Rodgers.
@@Ims18 so he goes too a team that doesn't show up in the regular season too?

I'm glad Aaron Rodgers fails every year. He gets too much hype for 1 SB. Can't wait for him to retire already.
One of my fav segments right here
Why people blaming Roger's? Umm who tweeted this Summer "last dance" Adam's. So those two talked about this. Why didnt the Packers say no to trade? Cause they feel guilty. Roger's had nothing to do with this. It was a great business decision for both. Adam's have 4 years with Raiders, maybe 1 0r 2 with Rogers if signed. Should have signed Adam's 2years ago...Either way, you dont come back and say ohhh we will match what Raiders offer. STOOOOPPPP trying to have Adam's and Rogers against each other
I’m so happy the narrative on Rodgers has changed, been tired of ten years of comparing him to Brady, couldn’t be farther from him
Who compares him to Brady? The media? The same media you are listening to now? Right.
Really happy for Davante - nobody (in their right mind) can say he didn't deserve his new salary, and, evidently, he'll play with a team that actually appreciate him, not just tolerate him.
He doesn't deserve it and he's playing for a second string quarter back. Good luck next season
Curious to see how Rodgers does with no WRs. Sure they'll sign one or two and draft 1
As a bears fan, I support the Packers' decision to trade him away 🐻⬇️
This one ain’t on Rodgers… Shannon is right! There were a lot of factors that helped him make that decision.
Packers will probably draft another QB !!!🏈🏈

It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers Davante puts up when your QB isn’t locked in on you 99% of the time even if you are double teamed or the zone coverage is geared to stop you.
