@Ezekiel 25:17 I know what it is and I don't need any *FUCKING* explanations from you. Police were put into effect from the beginning to prevent, respond to and prevent crimes. Those tag readers automatically reading everyone's tags is unconstitutional as fuck and if you don't know that you're nothing more than a copsplaining idiot
@Ezekiel 25:17 I'm thinking that if something happens in a neighborhood that you were parked at you will be subpoenaed, have to hire a lawyer, be "Detained and interviewed", and so it is not a complete waste of time when you are not at fault they simply charge you with some other made up charge just to get money from your pocket into theirs to cover their time.
Civil war is the civil thing to do! I agree. I disagree. You can, I can't The only right we have is to remain silent, but they have ways of making you talk!!!
I was stopped for an expired tag, but no officer was ever behind me... they knew my street, the path I frequently travel, and knew my route home. They knew. From in front of me (No front tags in Florida) and before I even passed the cop, he was in “pursuit.” Never knew an officer would take the time to “pursue” me, just because my tag was expired. ( couldn’t afford to renew at that time.) they came to ME. They followed ME. They were looking for ME. So glad nothing else was going on during the time of the “random stop.” We live in a police state. FACT. And these children with badges have no rules to abide by. Be careful, Americans. They’re looking for an arrest wherever they can “find” one....
My girl just got stopped for a cracked windshield yesterday. No way the cop saw the small crack on the passenger side front windshield. They harassed her with ?'s about me and searched the crap out of my car. (Car is in my name she was driving)
Youre totally right Matt. All these sheep giving you their rights/privacy. We are not free. Go to Germany and youll see real freedom and police that dont violate your rights.
Why don’t they just rent my spare room?? Since they wanna know what I’m doing so bad just move in.... o wait I got Comcast google and Amazon they have lived in my house for a while now THEY ARE WATCHIN haha I made a sex tape and I described it all to Alexa as it happened and I did it right In front of my computer 💻 my way of vengeance
Not any more. I just got licence back from a medical suspension We have one roaming around and would be stupid to even think about driving! Now just need a new sticker and insurance and good to go!
It's a license plate reader.... License plate is state property, and there is no expectation of privacy on a license plate. Driving is a privilege, not a right. I don't understand how you think this somehow hinders your freedom... It's not x-ray vision into your house or a mind reading technology, it's just a damn plate reader for fuck's sake! Lol chill the fuck out with that non sense.
That's always the standard answer but there are many people myself included that are legal but don't like the idea of an authoritarian government watching over us with a magnifying glass waiting to cash in to support its over bloated self
Cop logic what do you do when you have a town with no crime the cop answers ill always have a job ill just arrest innocent people and yes arrest is legal you can be innocent or guilty at that point so tell me what rights you have and yes the legal system is very bad for innocent people you get arrested have to post bond and hire a lawyer and get judged by the public untill court its scary what cops can legally do
Cops can use it to stalk people. I'm not versed on the laws but I always thought they had to have a reason to run your plates or info. There was an article awhile back where a whole department got in trouble because he was stalking a woman and ultimately raped and not sure if he killed her. But it came to light he was doing it to other woman. They looked into the whole department and found out they had hundreds of people's names ran that didn't even know it. They got in trouble for it.
@@InDatParish this is a violation of the 4th amendment. There is no privacy to what one can see with the eye. No one can see the records behind the plates except tyrants..
timeforchange DMV records are PUBLIC INFORMATION as are all state and government records. Anyone could request the DMV’s records on any license plate and it’s registered information. This is essentially what police are doing except they are able to do so with a faster response due to their agreement that it is being used for work purposes only. Try again buddy.
timeforchange I have common sense and knowledge of the law. If it’s tyranny, illegal, and a violation of rights, why has it never been successfully challenged in court? 🤔 Because you’re wrong and an idiot. 👍🏼
Benjamin Franklin tried to warn us when he said, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Very well said Mr. Franklin. And here we are. I really feel like we are so very close to becoming police states. I can only imagine what the world will be like, in the future, for my 21 year old daughter. 😥
There is nothing new under the sun. It is sad that each generation after the next generation so on and so forth will have to continuously have to experience this and more if not worse. Shaking my head with a crying heart of the evil to come.... The evils that men do!!!!
You applied for a license to drive that vehicle so that right there proves that you have no rights under the state. So basically what I'm saying is anytime you have to apply for a license through the municipality that you live in you are at their Mercy. It's also like your house you think you own it you don't. Where I live you can't even own a dog unless you have a license on it
why is that? anyone can look up your plate. no consent is needed. its the main reason you have them... i had a guy throw stuff at my car while driving , my dash camera got everything , i looked up his plate and got address . called cops gave them all the evidence, now he lost in court he got multi tickets and a repair bill.
I lost my job, my marriage, and my home because of this in Florida. They pulled me over for an unpaid ticket I paid, sent me to dmv, dmv sent me to courthouse back and forth with no resolution. I still have no license. Not allowed to commute in this state and the court offers no resolution, they told me to get an attorney but I’ve been thrown out of my house, lost my car because they pulled me over again and jailed me so now I have nothing. Why do immigrants want to even come here, the US sucks. I’ve still never resolved the ticket because they told me I need a permit first and then attend driving school. The ticket was for failure to yield and it made me homeless. Fort Myers PD took everything from me. I now have no money for an attorney
I know what a bad time you are going through, I can understand your problem, how a person who has lost everything in a short period of time must be feeling and what to do next. How and how to spend the rest of your life becomes more difficult for someone who doesn't know anything about it but don't worry I am praying for you 🙏🏼 God will give you all back very soon and give you your The old life will come back very soon, 👍🏼 So now please start being happy ok 😊
Why do migrants come here? Because they get EVERYTHING we don't! Better to be an illegal migrant than a U S. Citizen. Migrants get monthly food stamps, housing vouchers for rent, cash allowance every month for pocket/spending money, clothing allowance to buy clothes, transportation vouchers for free beses, trains and even Ubers, they're each given a "Debit card" where their money is loaded onto each month. Oh and the kicker is, the Democrats are passing a bill which would give every single migrant a one time payment of $10k! Each! While we struggle to pay bills and make ends meet, they're essentially buying votes and making migrants live in luxury. They've taken over 4 star hotels to use for migrants, places me and my wife couldn't afford a single night, they're there for months at taxpayers expense. The justice system is a complete joke. Rn I'm fighting a false arrest charge for possession loaded handgun but its all on video and I was never in possession of it, didn't touch it or even know it was there. Was thrown out of a car while I was inside the store, yet they're charging me as if I physically had it on me, in my pocket or w.e. My fingerprints n DNA are not on it, video shows someone else holding it before tossing it out the car. The DA also edited out parts of the video which showed me telling the cops I don't know anything and want my lawyer as well as the part of the video shows them illegally search my phone. There's so much more wrong with this case, been going on years this January. I'll to to trial before I plead guilty, they said the video doesn't have audio, I don't believe that, but even if so, ill hire a forensic lip reader, cus they fabricated a confession and used a statement I made at the vape shop in the confession. A forensic lip reader will be able to show I made that statement at the shop, not the station like the detective alleges. They took a statement I made about pepper spray when asked why I carry it, I said "cus the world's crazy, I need something to protect myself" they took that statement out of context and used it in the confession as for the reason I'm carrying a loaded handgun "cus the world's crazy and I need something to protect myself" Plus they destroyed evidence by getting rid the pepper spray and writing I refused to sign my property form, no cus I would have seen the pepper spray was missing and said something or wrote it in myself which they knew would be a problem. Plus none of the 8 cops on scene happen to activate their bodycams, and the entire encounter was recorded on video but is missing the two most crucial parts of the encounter, when they confronted me about the gun, and when I was cuffed and arrested. Their own paperwork says the arrest didn't happen till midnight, but then how'd I get from the vape shop at 930 to the station if they didn't have the probable cause til after we got there? My public pretender is saying like none that matters and that the fake, unsigned confession is admissible as evidence cus they're not calling it a confession cus it would need a signature so they're calling it a "verbal statement" dam that's one long ass verbal statement the cop was able to remember in detail hours later when writing the report! What's the point in knowing all your rights and invoking them if they're gonna just fabricate statements and confessions and it's as good as a signed confession even tho it's all lies. They never expected me to fight the case that's why, they thought for sure I'd have taken a plea deal by now. Nah I'll put them all on the stand and cross examine them and find the crack in their lies, already found a dozen or so contradictions and flat out lies. They need this conviction to avoid a massive lawsuit, the cops, DA all know it that's why they're trying so hard to get anything. Charged with 3 counts of gun possession for gun thats not mine, wasn't on me and my fingerprints and DNA are not on it and theres video of a different person holding it before tossing it out their car, but I'm being charged with it as tho I had it in my pocket, smh
They put APB’s on any car, even with expired registration or expired insurance. They’ll wait until it’s opportune time to make a stop and gain bigger charges based on what they already know. I had an expired tag my car was insured and my license was legitimate, but they still found me somehow? Driving on a Sunday? they were NEVER behind me to even read my tag . They’re looking for any reason to “stop “ and I mean, ya better not be doing anything by driving when they do... it’s an opportunity for a cop to grab an arrest, when it’s otherwise just a random citation. They are too informed. Oh, ya, they have your entire arrest record if applicable, before they even walk up to your car. From your tag, of course. Guilty until proven innocent. PERIOD. yes. It’s A POLICE STATE. It’s real. We live in it. Sadly, most cops are trigger happy former military with a penchant for “action,” so... be vigilant and know the law. Protect yourselves. And always have a lawyer to negotiate when these thieving charlatans enter into YOUR radar scope. You need take ZERO action to become criminal in 2019. It comes to YOU. Truth.
I'm glad that I live in South Dakota. Good luck getting my information from my license plate from any type of camera! Our state has made our plates confidential and unless we are actually pulled over by an officer, no one or nothing will be able to get our information. This violates our 4th Amendment right, therefore being unconstitutional. I cannot believe that people would actually be alright with them doing this.
@@stephenbrady5220 What privacy do you expect on public roads?? And cops can pull you over for anything. Then they can run your plate number! Still happening on SD.
Only thing I do agree with with Biden is to defund the police.me myself I've never needed them. I handle my own business. don't really have that many problems though . Police 🚓 it's just another word for a bully with too much power.
Hear hear! But the courts really need to stop this, then codify this and put "reasonable" and standard limits on this at the federal level. Instead, crickets. And hordes of clowns with no ability to think who assume it's no problem because it hasn't hurt them yet.
Let me get this straight. "They" can track us, we wear GPS wrist watches, have smart tv's with cameras in our homes, people have alexa, and we mail our DNA away to some company. Am I missing something?
Matt, not everyone does that. I don't get on social media like FB. (I use Disqus, comment on RUclips, and that's IT). I don't have in home cameras, Alexa or ANY of that crap.
aiy noooo wriiitteeeeeeee........ focus of conversation is never directed in the right direction. is like seen a illusionest play out his act on a Global Stage- sometimes the right intention, benefits and aids a corrupted cause, i.e. capitalist corporations, this country not nation is run like a capatilist corporations.
No problem. Start tracking the police and storing where they live, where they eat, and take pictures of their wife's and kids etc. Naturally, we have no criminal intent either. And the US Supreme Court has already upheld the rights of citizens to take videos and pictures of police.
Wouldn't the same apply to the police? There is no expectation of privacy for your license plate nor the data attached to it. Anyone can go to the DMV and run a records check. I don't like the plate readers but I just found it funny you talk about supreme court upholding the right to record police... they can do the same to you. Almost seems like your "precious rights" are turning against you?
Big Red, cops are currently taking pictures of people's kids and wives for our protection; therefore, if we did the same to cops we could claim it is for your protection too. Either way, you don't get a say so.
I'm completely fine with them scanning and running plates as they move around the city. However what I am against is that it is keeping all of that on file. These things should only be running the plate, and when it comes back negative, it should immediately discard the data. Keeping tabs on people's locations and movements is grossly against privacy (regardless if you're out in public or not).
ALPR is just an easy way to pick off poor people's expired plates and streamline the ticketing process. It's about money. Nothing more. How anyone with a conscience can work in policing is beyond me. FTP.
Why do cops overreact to stolen vehicles? ITS A PROPERTY CRIME! I used to look after my grandfather w/ dementia and I went to pick up his meds in his car(which he can't drive anymore, obviously) and he forgot I left 2mins ago and called 911 to say his car was stolen. I walk out of CVS w/ HIS meds and a swarm of cops take me down, take his meds,I have at least 5 guns drawn on me while I'm laying on over 100 degree asphalt!!! I had a foot on my lower back and these Keystone Cops are laughing while I'm spread eagle, guns aimed at me and threatened, saying if I move I'm a dead man!!! Oh, I'm WHITE too! After 20mins on the ground,I was grabbed and pulled up(yep, they cuffed me) and wouldn't listen to a word I said. It was my paternal grandfather so we shared the same last name, I told the cops to ask the pharmacist and he'll explain who I am,I'm 51yrs old also,I'm not a youngster and I always respected law officers but NO MORE!!!! After 80mins of wondering if A) I'm going to get killed B) going to get a beating C) go to jail D) humiliated and many other things including being embarrassed when friends and neighbors saw me, I was finally uncuffed and "allowed" to go home. AGAIN A STOLEN CAR IS A PROPERTY CRIME 90% of the time AND SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE ONE. THE HISTRIONICS OF THESE COPS MUST OF THOUGHT I WAS PUBLIC ENEMY #1. So you can be white and middle aged without ever committing a crime and at the very least be cuffed and detained or at worse being shot and killed over a misunderstanding.
There is no right to privacy when driving or parked in public, displaying a tag that belongs to the State. As someone who does use, and has used, license plate reader data, no, it does not "track" any person. It can only tell you when and where a specific tag was spotted by a plate reader, it doesn't tell or show you who was driving, where they are coming from or where they are going. You can't even link a tag to a person without accessing a completely different database (DMV), an act that is governed by both federal and state laws and has very real sanctions for abuse. This technology has saved many, many lives and makes police more efficient, which is a plus for taxpayers. The bottom line is that ALL of society is more data driven and information-efficient than ever before. You can't realistically expect cops to stay in the era of typewriters and notepads to look for stolen/felony vehicles any more than you can expect your average citizen to go back to the days of analog land-line telephones and old-fashioned newspapers. The genie is out of the bottle.
That's just the thing it's not for Crime suspects. Prime suspects usually don't show up in court or have any money to pay fines. Shaded rather fine the hard-working everyday citizen who doesn't have time to show up in court and they just pay the fine just another way for state and local governments to make money off of hard-working people
Our own government is so dirty & corrupt it's just unreal & I would never know about none of this stuff if it wasn't for seeing it on these good videos on RUclips thank you all so much for sharing these things .

Isn't funny that when cop's violate the United States Constitution against its citizens, the camera usually blacks out during those moments. I highly recommend, if you come across a policeman, whether you're walking, riding a bike or driving, film through police for your own protection. They will try to insist that you show ID. You are not required to show ID if you are riding a bike or are a pedestrian, or a passenger in a vehicle. Do not submit to these unlawful orders. Simply state, respectfully, I do not answer questions. If the policeman persists, start asking him questions. his ID number badge number name. The United States of America is slowly but surely trying to take away your constitutional rights as an American citizen. Please don't fall victim to this scam. Know the Constitution. God bless you.
You're 100% correct. I've experienced it my whole life but just recently started recording my interactions with "law enforcement". Totally different outcome when you have your camera rolling and know your rights. I have video proof.
Tracey, this is a good way to complicate a situation and prolong your encounter. Why not just comply and simplify your life. What are you afraid of? Got warrants?
Bill Kunert The United States Court of Appeal noted that every court that has considered the issue of privacy in license plates has concluded that no such privacy exists. State v. Richter Commonwealth v. Starr Rhode Island v. Bjerke
I keep hearing the "I'm a Non-criminal so it's ok with me." flaccid argument. So here goes,... If anyone else was doing this they would be called a Stalker. The same principles and right to privacy apply here. The fact our police intentionally create a blanket system, force us to use OUR taxes to pay for it, and then aggressively track and a record your movements means they already see you as a criminal. Their use of our money for this alone should piss you off! It creates a record of all your travels, locations, dates, times, etc. As a non-criminal is it any of their business what time you pick up your kid from school, leave for a midnight drive, or how many times you hit the drive-through for a milkshake? I'm a "Non-criminal" too, but I don't want YOU, my fellow American, to advocate or condone someone tracking my travels. Should this become the normal trend I might next demand and accept GPS chips and bar codes be forced unto your children's' bodies,...just so a non-criminal like me can feel safe.
this mite be why i have heard someone getting pull over more than 3 times and still being safe on the same place in road aka no reason for a traffic stop
Jacob Taylor that's what you think....but I guarantee if that even comes to existence, Americans won't tolerate it and someone will start a riot and cop killings will be the norm
Marc Goldfinger I know right. Just because it’s good doesn’t mean it should always be done! In America when constitution was made we had a right to no rediculous fines or something. Forgot the wording.
eugenestoner Hello! Society is never going to be safe from corrupt cops - NEVER because there bias buddy the judges will always through out the case or they get acquitted.
One solution about the driveway thing is to back your car into your driveway. Normally you have to back out anyway, so this way, when you leave you just drive forward. That way if some stupid cop, or robot thing goes by, it won't get a snapshot of the plate.. provided you have a typical driveway etc. Some other people do this, I've done it from time to time, so no big deal. So they can track it when I'm out driving, fine... but that get's rid of the drive by snap shots, like the guy complained about in the video. But i didn't start doing that for this reason. I just happened to do it anyway. And of course I could always change my mind later, if I no longer care about it. works for me. -- And another solution, now that I know they are using infra red, is I might get an infrared transmitter (cheap), to shine out of my driveway and blind their cams. People can say you have no expectation of privacy in your yard, fine, but also there is no law saying you can't shoot photons out of your yard the naked eye can't see, LOL. OR, move something behind your car, trash can, slap on something that looks accidental to obscure your tag (not while driving - only while the car is parked on your property), or park vehicles in front of others. Totally ruins that one idea of them picking up tags in driveways. Now elsewhere.. that's something else all together.. I'm thinking about working on something to ruin a drones ability to take pictures or possibly navigate if it gets very low and close to my house. Not out to mess up drones because they are cool, but just to those who want to get too close and hover the yard when they could fly elsewhere.
"With technology and smart, good policing, it allows us to keep out public spied on... Uh, safe." We have have finally lost the war for privacy, folks.
Tank Brown, we only track you if we have a spy warrant to track you. Or you have a search warrant. We check your records now and then for warrants. We check your car for flags. It’s not tracking.
Some of the same people who are crying about privacy and over reach by law enforcement will call 911 to report "suspicious activity" if they see a poor person walking near their homes. Hypocrites want police to "profile" and harass innocent people, just not them...
These people have no problem entering their phone numbers and date of birth into whatever website or social media account asks for it but go apeshit over an already publicly displayed license plate being photographed.
frank p Correct. I’ve run lots of license plates, and as long as you can justify running it with a “law enforcement purpose”, then that’s the only reason you need. All that means is you can’t run a plate on a neighbor or an ex-girlfriend, for example. You can always justify it with just checking to see if it’s stolen.
George Price You're on public roads, using a license that is a priviledge. They do not need probable cause to run plates THEY issued to you to drive on public roads. There's nothing immoral about wanting carjackers to get caught.
using a license is not a privilege it a right. do you need a license to ride a horse on the road no then same shit for cars P.S when automobile first came out you did not need nor required a driver license. and George can do what im going to do with my car is have a license plate flipper so good luck getting info on my car when it on private property. and yea i could drive with it still covering too with the risk of a fix-it ticket that i would just wipe my ass with and hand it to the judge lol here your shitty fix it ticket.
mafiahalo93: Just back your car in, that way they can't drive past your house and get your license plate number unless you live in a state that has front and rear plates.
well in california if ur caught driving without front plate it a 50$ fix it ticket (which i have gotten lol tried to see how long id could go before id get pulled for it lol) but at the same time u will see a lot of drivers here with no front plates so it really only enforced if the cops have nothing to pin on you
I had this happen to my mom's car, and we have become aware that the police in my neighborhood now have it turned on 24/7 on a parked cruiser in our neighborhood after a cop came to ask why my mom was driving after dark when she's not allowed to. My mom got confused because she doesn't drive after dark she cat see. But I knew I had been driving her car; so I asked the cop what proof he had of my mom driving and he showed the photo from the plate scanner. You cant see who is driving so I said how do you know it was my Mom, it might have been my Dad or there neighbor who will drive my Mom to the supermarket after dark. It just made me mad and I kind of lost the little respect I had for that officer. He was basically just harassing my Senior Mom.
Odd the same year this came out in my area Was the same year the fine for driving without INS, Was raised from $1,000 to $5,000 your first time The police cars use to sit the bottom of a bridge on the highway Catching people going to work
@Mike Fernandez Cops Courts and Government bleed you dry Why else do you think the court system for traffic tickets only have the same hours as the avg worker ..8Am to 430pm They know ether you will have to take the day off work and miss that amount of pay or Pay the traffic ticket Guilty or not. Should it not be fair and if your found not guilty be forwarded that amount of money to cover your cost to come to court out? I would even make a law that states any officer that grossly abuses the law he or she set should pay the fine impossed to the victim

Tess, at least with that, you can choose not to join. As soon as I found out they were repeatedly messing with peoples' profiles to increase profits, I refused to go anywhere near them many years ago. Of course, young people thought I was crazy. Now it turns out all of social media is tending to behave badly re privacy. But where you don't even get any choice, just trying to live your life (drive down your street, for example), keeping that stuff on file without limit is just ridiculous.
Where do you think all this information ends up? It's sold to the tech companies like Facebook so they can still find ways to market to you even of you don't have an account.
I don't have any criminal record, So why should i have to be watched like a criminal. What if i want run out to my car in my underwear to get something. My privacy means everything to me.
Then I guess you shouldn't go out at all. EVERYWHERE there are cameras. People's homes have them pointed on the street, stores have them inside and outside. Where can you go that isn't on camera?
Jeff Bray Didnt know my neighbors sent tinestamps and geo locations to server famrs for storage. Or the fact that a politucal rival who is buddy with a police chief can grab the data to know if the opposing rivals has any dirt.
Law Enforcement agencies are in love with data. They hoover it, store it, share it and sell it. This is why they have an unhealthy need to get IDs from everyone they meet as well. Of course, their bodycam also catches your face and that video (data) can be fed through facial recognition software and your identification is logged anyways.
@@motortoys9942 Obvious to me and the Police the funny plate may show one is playing a game with the plate visuals for a reason, probably to confuse Tollway carmera's I my guess. Not sure if the Officer said, but the Technology can search 7 plates at once while driving. I heard that years ago, Police can probably do 100's of plates now with more powerful computers and LTE, especially with 5G. But one wore shorts and Police May no part of the Licencse plates, Police do know what kind of car. Those 6 boys are going to prison sooner then later, you don't steal guns from stores imo.

Did anyone else notice the login name for the system storing all those plates? It was “laptop”, NOT an individual login based on a name or badge number. This means that cops are sharing login credentials. This is really really BAD, because any cop can access this system without the system logging exactly which cop looked at the plates it’s saved. Imagine a cop pulls you over and gives you a ticket. You fight the ticket in court and win. The irritated cop goes and looks up ALL your plates and starts looking for you everywhere to settle the score. There would be no trace of the cop doing any of this, because they all use the same damn login & password. I’ve sold hardware to many municipalities and I’m here to tell you that cops are the worst at handling and protecting private data. They are horrible, worst than most corps. I’ve seen systems like this first hand and the cops just don’t care who accesses the data, only that it can be accessed quickly during an “emergency”, and every call they get is an emergency to them.
I can understand the comment "If you have nothing to hide, there shouldn't be any problem" and I always agreed with that until I became the victim of a multi million dollar insurance scam here in Australia, until a group of corrupt Police officers did all in their power to have me found guilty some traffic offences they needed to provide for their criminal associates in order for them to claim I was responsible for alleged damages they were criminally trying to claim from me. Five attempts to charge me with a range of traffic offences were made by the corrupt Police Officer's as they corruptly aided and abetted their criminal friends, on each occasion I was able to have those offences withdrawn, discontinued or dismissed, and after 10 months of attempting to intimidate me, I also had the Insurance companies claim for damages discontinued. This matter stole a total of two years from my life and involved six court appearances before I managed to have all claims and charges dismissed. Interestingly, despite reporting all of this to Police, Police Integrity, Police Ethics and Standards, the Insurance companies investigators, several magistrates, and an army of Police Prosecutors, not a single thing has been done about this scam. So, should we be worried about the powers we in our innocence and ignorance believe we should accord our Police and various other authorities, you bet your bloody life we should. This is one very corrupt world where everything is abused, including the information collected by these camera's, but then the question begs, what's the alternative? I suggest you all learn to do what I did, learn how to fight back, it's a very long, drawn out process, where you will be intimidated by Police and their criminal associates, made to feel you do not have a chance in hell, but I have learned one very important thing, no matter how hopeless things may seem, "persistence will always win out over resistance", you just have to hang in there and never give up, and the truth will prevail.
This is one of those things people will defend because "here are some examples of it being used for what I see as good" and always use that against the other side, privacy advocates, because they live the easy life and will never see how this technology can be used poorly.
People do tbe wrong thing then eventually everyone pays the price. No such thing as freedom in modern society as the more wrong doing the more rules and regulations brought into place. Unfortunately things are a lot different to 60 years ago.

Law enforcement has never been about policing
@Ezekiel 25:17 I'm thinking that if something happens in a neighborhood that you were parked at you will be subpoenaed, have to hire a lawyer, be "Detained and interviewed", and so it is not a complete waste of time when you are not at fault they simply charge you with some other made up charge just to get money from your pocket into theirs to cover their time.

Law enforcement has forgotten what it is for protect and serve has gradually become to surveil and curtail.

Not out to mess up drones because they are cool, but just to those who want to get too close and hover the yard when they could fly elsewhere.

frank p Correct. I’ve run lots of license plates, and as long as you can justify running it with a “law enforcement purpose”, then that’s the only reason you need. All that means is you can’t run a plate on a neighbor or an ex-girlfriend, for example. You can always justify it with just checking to see if it’s stolen.
