It was filmed twice in Germany in 1943 and 1953.

Frühling in San Remo [Spring In San Remo] (Waltz)
    Part 2

Lovely Austro-Hungarian music, as delicious as Sachertorte mit Schlag! Nice images too.

Indeed, Fred Raymond was an Austro-Hungarian citizen although his heyday in music was the Weimar Republic and the 1930s. in Germany. This Operetta is a perfect example of the Mitteleuropean taste. Bon apetit über deine leckeren Sacher und Schlagsahne !

Many thanks, 240252. I love these potpourris, produced in Germany in the 1930s.

Yes, Germans were the best specialists in producing all kinds of the Opera or Operetta "potpourris" as well as many other kinds of the easy-listening musical gadgets. Also in UK or even in USA such records were not rare: I have some of them eg. the American potpourri from the Show Boat 1927 or British potpourri of the scottish songs. .

Re your mention of UK selections, one I yearn to hear again is a 12" HMV of selections from "Toad of Toad Hall" by the New Mayfair Orchestra (vocalists unnamed). Cheers!
