      Yes, that's weird. You are weird, I am weird and everyone is weird. It's hard to explain but I love it, probably because of the music, the fast version of King Mountain.

    - The brilliantly-altered score by Trent Reznor of "In The Hall of the Mountain King."
    - The beautifully-shot scene.
    - The breath-taking editing.
    etc etc etc
    None of these are discussed in the comment section.
    Armie Hammer's arms seem to be the priority.
    God help us all.

    @emeryguy9000 The real race this was scene was based on occurred only in the early 2000's. The Empacher shells match the period, as do the riggers on the Empachers. The long umpire boats used are all old and vintage in Henley. To be fair to the film makers they pretty much got everything right in regards to continuity.

    • @LalainMashood

    Rowing bods... help me out please....if henley is about halfway along the path of the river thames, which it is....and the thames runs for 212 winding miles, and in a straight line for just under 150 miles , then the curvature of the earth dictates that henley should be 14,495 feet above both the source of the river, Cricklade and the estuary in London...( cricklade is 280 feet above sea level..the estuary clearly is sea level...)....so where is the part of the river that runs uphill and why is henley not the highest point in England by 11,000 feet? though that as y'all row along the thames you would have noticed rowing up a hill that big. Also does anyone know why the thames barrier doesnt flood from the inside with all that water hurtling down on it from over 14k feet? are we missin g some curvature here?????

    • @sofgp4311
      @sofgp4311 2 года назад

      how on earth did you reach the conclusion that Henley should be 14495ft above sea level? it is actually 125ft above sea level.
      Additionally, there are locks along the thames.

    • @mannymarotta
      @mannymarotta 8 лет назад +39

      Well, it shows Zuckerberg is getting to the Winkelvoss twins; this scene takes place right after they learned he was going to be credited for creating the Facebook. They were thinking about the Facebook rather than the regatta, which is why they lost, and since rowing is the thing they care most about, they realize they must now crush Mark. This scene is stunning in its subtlety and I believe it's the best of the film.

    • @Aggie1985
      @Aggie1985 7 лет назад +19

      It also shows the Twins who are use to winning at everything losing and coming into 2nd place just like they're second fiddle to Zuckerberg.
