  • The film offers a poignant glimpse into the life of Vitalii Velychurov, a key worker in the main bread factory of Mykolaiv, once a frontline city. Russian troops destroyed Mykolaiv's major infrastructure and most of the city's residents have left - including Vitalii's wife and children - but the factory has delivered bread to the besieged population every day since the full scale invasion broke out. Lost in memories of the past and an uncertain future, Vitalii finds solace in the continued rhythm of the factory.

This needs about a few million more views. Masterful cinematography bringing much needed attention to a people and a country under a horrific and unjust aggression from russia.

It got missed in translation but the medals he hid in the garden were his son's for judo championship. The first thing he thought when in danger was saving something valuable to his child...

The happiness people feel when they get a freshly baked loaf of bread is the same feeling people felt thousands of years ago.

Of course, the driver delivering bread was shaking after the Russians stopped him. In my country, innocent people who walking around with no weapons were just shot on-site by the tank crew during the Soviet invasion.

My grandfather was working in a bakery in post-war Poland. These Ukrainian civilians are heros holding cold blood and doing their jobs that will supply food to the others.

I only wanted to scroll a video quickly, as I don't like this kind of "boring" format. Ended up watching entire video from the beginning to the end.
Thanks you for this amazing story!
