I used to be a biker in the 80s and this was my favourite biker movie. I also had a small van which I used for work. One day I needed a part for my van, quickly, and found out that a motor shop in Walton-on-Thames had the part in stock. When I drove there to collect the part I immediately recognised the shopping centre as being from Psychomania. I went there the next weekend on my bike and rode around, going into the car park (which has since been rebuilt, along with the shopping centre and is next to Sainsbury), past the flats on Hepworth Way (opposite the car park) which Chopped Meat jumped out of, and also went into the supermarket from the film (I parked up and walked, not rode in ...although it was very tempting!). It's a shame that the shopping centre has been rebuilt, although I'm sure the locals appreciate it. The Seven Witches was not far from Walton-on-Thames, around the Ash Link Nature Reserve off the New Road, Littleton (near Shepperton Studios).
I first watched this at 15 on vhs back in 1986 and just ordered this on DVD but not going to lie I am still going to watch it on here, because watching it here is like watching it with an extended family
Love the absurdity of this film. From the "ooh so scary" helmets, to the name tags sewn on their jackets. The best bit for me is the shopping centre scene, pinching mums' bottoms and knocking the man on the "step ladder to nowhere" off into conveniently placed cardboard boxes. Ah, they don't make 'em like this anymore....
Haha. Good observations Jason and Peter. How about the song line "no-one knew his name". Really? It was in three inch high letters sewn on his chest!!!!
My girlfriend and I used to watch this over and over for all the wrong reasons. Rest in peace Rachel. "They tried to clip his wings just like a fly". Classic.
He sings " they tried to clip his wings just like a vine" if I'm not mistaken, sad but beautiful song, and really badass movie with cool music in it ... need the soundtrack 4 when I 'm on the road ...
Saw this on late night TV in the year 2000 aged 12, and have finally found it again. It wasn't easy as I didn't know the title! Great film though, I can see why it's a cult classic.
Blast from the past. Many years ago when we had bikes we'd always joke before a ride "Today we do the ton! " Aside from that they got a pretty funky living room @ 11-00 onwards. Red armchair is great
Thanks for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past". I haven't watched this since seeing it on local TV way back in the late 70s. Interesting to see veteran character actor Robert Hardy from the BBC's "All Creatures Great & Small". The resurrected gang certainly got STONED at the end !
Makes me nostalgic for rural England in the early 1970s. You can visit the locations where this film was shot. Someone posted them on the internet a few years ago.
I watched this as a young kid and the following day I crashed my go cart into a garage door so I could die and come back again! It bloody hurt and I never done it again after that! The days when films were great!!
I love these extended scenes I had never seen them before. As a kid i had a store bought vhs copy and some of these scenes were never there. Piiiig! Piiiig! Were gonna cut you to bits! Unbelievable!
One of the funniest films made with some great stunt driving/riders, I think it’s supposed to be a serious film and how the actors kept a straight face throughout is amazing, George Saunders and Beryl Reed are so funny in their straight faces, and how about the Scene when he rides out off the grave🤣 without a doubt a true classic in a class of its own, thanks for the post.
@scott dean i think i remember what you are talking about. Me and my aunt used to rent old movies and it seems Alice sweet Alice did come with it. But yeah I've looked for this one for probably 30 years...
I love everything about this film, from the motor chases to the Very Cool Gang Names (which are apparently opt-in, either that or they thought Hatchet and Bertram were equally hardcore names). Hail the frog god!
Ah, so bad it's good! Take out all the cycle riding bits and the movie is half an hour long! Glorious! And so many "what the hell?!" moments. Fab, man!
Toms funeral scene is truly hilarious (wtf?) and then the part where they’re chasing OAPs, random people on ladders and women with prams etc outside of Safeways 😂😂😂
Yeah. They're supposed to be a badass biker gang, but they just go around being annoying. After they come back they're way worse, but they're still not like Hells Angels. It's a weird movie.
The similarities between Tom’s burial scene and my own grandmother’s funeral are uncanny, right down to her being interned on a motorcycle with her head well above ground. So weird.
Me, my sister, brother and cousin binge watched this over the course of some summers in the ‘80’s….. we had our own lines we would twist…. ”what happened?” “”My back wheel fahted” “Liar, you’re not dead!” “Well, that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you, Tom!”
I first saw this on TV as a younger teen on the 1970s. I was blown away that much of it was shot on and around my home town. A dreadful, shabby, cheap film. Also, an excellent, fun, entertaining film. Not a masterpiece - and all the better for it!
In 1972 George Sanders (the butler) died from an overdose of barbiturates and left a note naming boredom as the main reason for his suicide. Personally, I think this film is the reason and the inspiration for his suicide and may be he thought that if he kills himself, then afterwards when he comes back he could do all the things that he couldn't do in his first life!
I think he had done everything he wanted. Most of his family and a lot of his friends had died. His investments lost money. He started experiencing dementia.
Did anyone notice In the field where the "Seven Witches" are represented by stone and the five bikers that also turned to stone at the end make a total figure of the number "13", this is a significant number...
Wonderful cult British horror classic! Loved it when I was young & still love watching it now. Great soundtrack & a look back to a great era!

And blowing the raspberry at the truck driver. Such disrespect!
Jason Young The lorry driver definitely overreacted to being called Father Christmas. He was asking for it.
Haha. Good observations Jason and Peter. How about the song line "no-one knew his name". Really? It was in three inch high letters sewn on his chest!!!!
TBH if you wear something that small that shows off your arse, it'll probably get pinched by someone!
@@mnky75 That says more about your mindset mate, creepy. By your logic every girl who wore mini skirts were fair game to get their arses pinched.
i used to watch this so often as a child i knew every word off by heart. the joys of vhs in the early/mid 80s
And 90s😜
prefer no#4
Anyone watching this gem in 2022? One of my absolute favorite horror movies 🖤 💀
Yes, me. 11pm, Monday 15th August 2022. It's one of my favourite films of all time.
I'm watching it after finding out it was actor George Sander's last film (he passed away in 1972) & this was released the following year.
Signing in from Tbilisi, Georgia (I'm from UK) at 2:32am on Sunday 6 November 2022 ! 🥂
ROCKNROLL CULTURE IS NOT DEAD
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was going to until I read this stupid and pointless question that someone asks in every movie on RUclips for some reason. Nobody cares.
My girlfriend and I used to watch this over and over for all the wrong reasons. Rest in peace Rachel. "They tried to clip his wings just like a fly". Classic.
"JUST LIKE A FLYYYYYYYYYY"
Sorry for your loss my brother. May your loved one rest up peacefully. This film is great! ✊❌

Thanks 👍
No worries bro.
He sings " they tried to clip his wings just like a vine" if I'm not mistaken, sad but beautiful song, and really badass movie with cool music in it ... need the soundtrack 4 when I 'm on the road ...
Say what you will about this film, but you can't deny the insane awesomeness of the soundtrack.
Hell I dug the movie too. Look! No hands!
Underrated soundtrack!
True
Love the ominous tunes and the early 70's hippie music
Saw this on late night TV in the year 2000 aged 12, and have finally found it again. It wasn't easy as I didn't know the title!
Great film though, I can see why it's a cult classic.
Jesus. I must have been at least 6 somewhere in the 80s my first time. Had a vhs copy. Lot of extended scenes on here though that were never there.
Yes, me too. I couldn't remember the title. Had to do a search for biker horror movies.
Sane here. 😁
Blast from the past. Many years ago when we had bikes we'd always joke before a ride "Today we do the ton! " Aside from that they got a pretty funky living room @ 11-00 onwards. Red armchair is great
That morgue scene is an absolute gem.
Such a classic, even down to the soundtrack.
Even down to his name tag....
This movie is sick, twisted, sadistic and overall disturbing...........I love it!!!! 🤣
I saw it when I was a kid now it's just stuck in my head 😂
elvira movie macabre pick as well
Psychomania is all the more unforgettable for being George Sanders' final film before his very sad death.
One of my 2 favorite biker movies
and it's made in north surrey too
Saw it on ITV late on Friday night back in 1980 or so. Good to find it again. Thank you.
Filmed Sept. 1971 Surrey. One of my faves!

The Ghoul in Cleveland used to play this movie all the time (late 90's)!!! Love it!!! Thank you for uploading!!!
Yes I saw it on tv in detroit Michigan (ghoul) in the 70s my auntie used to babysit me and we watched this ❤
Great film, brings back memories, well done for putting it on here👍👍👍
Makes me nostalgic for rural England in the early 1970s. You can visit the locations where this film was shot. Someone posted them on the internet a few years ago.
Surrey. Yes, it is an easy era to be nostalgic for.
Now to settle back and watch this, then Gargoyles, and then reminisce about the 70's I knew through the yes of an 8 year old!
nailed it!
70s ruled
Fantastic! Have loved this movie since I first saw it on USA's "Up All Night" back in the early 80s. Thank you Jose Jonez for uploading!
That soundtrack at the beginning is probably one of the best sounds from a movie I heard in a long time. Good stuff...
One of my all time favorite movies!
beryl reed was such a good actress
Beryl Reid was even better lol😆🎩
I watched this as a young kid and the following day I crashed my go cart into a garage door so I could die and come back again! It bloody hurt and I never done it again after that! The days when films were great!!
Childhood in the 70s. Love it!
AWESOME, ESPECIALLY THE ENDING, A BILLION THANKS JJ
The music in this just slaps
Walton-on Thames has never look so good
Walton's Mountain near Virginia's Shenandoah Valley never looked this good !
Brilliant , thanks so much for this ...great memories relived
Many years ago my late uncle let me watch this film. I never knew the name but here it is! Thanks for uploading.
I love these extended scenes I had never seen them before. As a kid i had a store bought vhs copy and some of these scenes were never there. Piiiig! Piiiig! Were gonna cut you to bits! Unbelievable!
A tour-de force by Nicky Henson in the Citizen Kane of biker films.
To me, Eric Von Zipper from those 60s "Beach Party" movies was the ultimate biker.

When he rides out of the grave really cracked me up!
It is supposed to be serious but something about the performance of the biker club members is like a horror comedy
@@thegreenbird795 seriously this is not a horror comedy? and my dad wants to be buried like that sitting on top of his Triumph Motorcycle
I haven’t seen this film since I was about 12 thank you so much for posting this ❤️❤️
OMG!!! I found it. I've been looking for this movie for YEARS!!! 🙃🙃🙃
@scott dean i think i remember what you are talking about. Me and my aunt used to rent old movies and it seems Alice sweet Alice did come with it. But yeah I've looked for this one for probably 30 years...

Got this on VHS what a find ! well done !
Great film first time round and a great sound track and a bit of tongue and cheek humour too, it's got it all and still good to watch today
* cheeky
One of my fav horror films of the 70’s
First seen it in 1991 when I was 10, immediately loved it, seen it countless times since
Haven't seen this since I was a kid.
Didn't know this was real, I thought that it was a bad dream or some wierd memory.
Me too!!! That's crazy.
Blowing the raspberry at the truck driver was hardcore!
But yeah, I'm the same, I remember seeing this as a kid. Fun film.
Thanks for uploading x
@ 😅😅
Mary Larkin was so cute!! Too bad she didn't do more films. Oh well. Have always loved this movie!! Thanks for sharing!
She almost looked like a redheaded Mimsy Farmer, but without regularly showing off her bosom.
Omg thank you I love this film 🔥
And the world never knew his name, but the chosen few know of his fame, come join our company, riding free. Great song.
The hells angels as imagined by Enid Blyton
It needs a scene where some perishing great foreigners get their ears jolly well boxed in.
Heh, good one :D
These guys are to Angels what shandy is to Tennessee sour mash.
@@shawnhartmann4581 Ouch! Harsh..
Belt up, Hatchet!
🤣🤣🤣
The punk band the damned wrote a song called psychomania.
No doubt inspired by the film . A bit of trivia.
Soundtrack is excellent.
I love the eerie musical score
Thnx freeway! Seen it too many times to count.
In my top five films ever. Just superb.
RIP Dot Cotton. Maybe she’ll come back from the dead…
R.I.P NICKY. THANX FOR A GREAT MOVIE
One of the best films ever
It's no "The Ghost and Mr Chicken" ('66) but it's not bad. Maybe if someone in the background yelled out "Attaboy, Luther !" I'd like it better.
Bikers: I can't see a damn thing with this idiotic skull bubble... but it's so cool
You can see the influence of style, fashion and form influenced Japan-anime. AN INFATUATING CLASSIC🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bloody love this film, what a classic
Jus Oborn, I salute your taste in movies

God I remember watching this on 70s tv in Detroit. Always thought what a weird movie
Me too!!!!!
I first saw it on local TV way back in the late 70s, before cable TV, satellite TV or home video came to town. Really blew my mind !
Yes! Seeing it on Channel 50 or Channel 20 (mostly on 20) on Friday nights or Saturday afternoon!! Man, I so want to go back to that time.
One of my favourite films 👍
That was cool😎 the Brits do this sht well. Wanted to hear Joe Walsh 'Turn to stone' @ the end there lol
The similarities between Tom’s burial scene and my own grandmother’s funeral are uncanny, right down to her being interned on a motorcycle with her head well above ground. So weird.
I started watching this and all of a sudden an ad with Nigel Farage popped up. Truly horrific, disturbing and utterly terrifying.
😂
Still love it!
First time viewer here. Not a bad film I must say on first viewing!
One of the weirdest but most compelling and stylish horror films Britain has ever made.
Terrific film.
Beware of the Frog
Ribbitt !
What a nice story! ;)
Watched this Film as a young child.
Best

First watched this film late 70s on holiday at my aunts in Dover was about 14 fell instantly in love with nicky Henson
I believe I was 17 or 18 when I found this on VHS it is my favorite biker horror movie
Love the bikes still have a 64 triumph650 bonnie

this film should be remade.
Absolutely not, it would be worse than the Wicker Man remake!
Love this film..have the dvd......'Raw Meat' another great classic....
"Raw Meat" ?? Was that the one about the butcher who backed into his meat grinder & got a little behind in his orders ??
Favorite movie as a teen!
One of my favorites!
Saw this in 1987 as a teen
Not sure what all the people here saying this was great were watching. I appreciate the upload though!
This is a classic!
Best film of the 70s.

The Seven Witches will have to be renamed, after the ending.
RIP Nicky Henson :'(
Excellent movie
It's no "Carry On, Bowery Boys" but I did enjoy it.
I remember watching this on vhs i was 9 years old
This movie was my fav when I was 7. That is, until I saw Evil Dead 2.
Interesting film. The concept is really original and promising and there are some great scenes, but it's just underdeveloped.
At the last moment he must have had doubts...
I think it needed some Procol Harum like 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' and The Moody Blues 'Nights in White Satin' in the soundtrack.
I think it could have used something like "The Whoopee Cushion Serenade" by Freddie Flatulence and his Five Hot Toots.
I used to have this on VHS
I’m certain we still have this on VHS
At least two people that have seen this, we need to " teach them a lesson!!! " hehe
Woohoo! One of my all time favourites! Much of it filmed on the M3 before it opened.
But 16p a pint! Bugger me!
1971 that was. The same motorway section is under construction in the UFO episode the psychobombs filmed at 18 months earlier.
