Perfection!
My new dream car, this time really forever.
Very well done Prof Murray, standing ovation
It's everything that a car should be, lightweight, compact, detailed at an obsessive level with clever aero and a screaming V12 - just epic 🥰😎
Absolutely stunning! Loved the way the whole car opens up to reveal the heart of this beauty. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee 🙌🤩🥳💪💪 True F1 successor in every sense. Very well done.... looking forward the first drive reviews 😊
Gordon leaving the stage still looked back one more time to the car. That's passion.
nice catch
If you don’t look back at the car you own, then you bought the wrong car.
I saw that too.
I'm a grown man with a tear in my eye due to the sheer beauty and focus of this car. Long live Gordon Murray! Long live the McLaren F1 heritage!
Dude Gordon Murray is about to tell all these automakers that he is the boss , cant wait
it will shut the Koenigsegg fanboys up hahaha
Yeah let's not forget that this is one dude alone, who can shut the mouths of a dozen supercar giants with a single sketch.
@@mike_gun Nope it will not make us!
@@DarkHumorWritesItself no, I think the senna is quite a good car, but this would just destroy it in pure driving enjoyment
Damn right. This car has blown everything out of the water.
#gamechanger
Lightweight, lots of cillinders, naturally aspirated, manual gear shifting... this guy is a hero. It meets all my desired goals in a car.
Sad to not be a millionaire to buy this xD.
*Multi-millionaire.
I wish you will be
@@thomaselliott573 i bet you r mclaren guy
If you'd be happy to discard, say 9 cylinders from your desirable car dream then from what I've read there might be a turbo 3 cylinder dream machine that Gordon Murray is thinking about building. 80K NZD?. Funnily enough the front light clusters did remind me of an MR2 Roadster :)
@@UpTheAnte1987 it really does! i even said to myself that front end reminds me of something.
*Light is right.*
Gordon Murray _gets it._ Just as another legend, Colin Chapman did too.
Thomas Elliott are you completely cooked? 😂
@@thomaselliott573 He has a business to run, contractors, investors and employees to pay. I would not be as cool as he is.
Engeneering wise, this car is not contemporary hi-tech, it is like an industrial machine (not flamboyant design or unreliable technology), it takes an alternative path refining older proven concepts and surely it will be a blast, fast (at real roads) and usable supercar and much pleasing than today's hyper cars. It will not be the fastest on track or pure acceleration, it will not have the highest power nor eye catching design but will be a car that ultra rich people can actually use, not just bragg to their friends.
Anyone who is in a position to get one of these, and doesn't; is a complete fool.
Anyone in a position to is fighting for that position
Let's hope Jay Leno gets one of the first ones (he _knows_ light is right) and makes a _very_ long video with it.
You know he already put his down payment as soon as Gordon WhatsApped him that he's thinking about building another car.
@@SomeOneFromOFS Gordon hates modern regulation rear view mirrors... the cameras won't do in North America, this car can't be registered in US or Canada, until regulations are updated, which happens once a century at the speed DOT does anything...
Rene Jr. Wollin rear view cameras also don’t work so well for anyone who wears reading glasses (ie most people who will buy one)
@@mxrz I dont think that would worry Jay

"They are bad losers". Oh boy, I miss those days in Formula 1! Now is too dull.
Gordon himself is il love with this thing, any body else noticed how he looked back when going away?
That was the image that stuck with me, definitely a non-scripted emotional moment.
It’s his new baby his lifetimes work every bit of knowledge and engineering expertise he’s put in this new monster maybe one of the last road cars he builds in his lifetime we’re truly blessed to see this beast

Yes
Is a new brand, Murray.
I love how Gordon turns and takes one last glance before leaving the stage! This is the feeling he intends to give everyone! A real head turner!!!
What a masterpiece of engineering art. Mr. Gordon Murray thank you so much for creating a 21st century McLaren F1.
Absolut ❣️👌🏼
Thanks Gordon Murray ❕️🙏🏼
For me, my absolutely Dream-PosterOnMyWall-Car 😅
When I was 19...I had a very big wallpaper of a F40 in my room.
Now I want a T50 wallpaper...I get 50 too on June this year 😂
Out if this world!!! Mr Gordan Murray has yet again brought the automotive industry into the next level huge congratulations 👏 I am a very proud member of Cosworth in Northampton well done to everyone involved and thank you all
well done mate, the engine looks amazing and double for the sound, curious to know what the Cosworth team reaction was when GM set you the targets?
Having not been involved in that paticular conversation I wouldnt be able to give exact comment, however nothing is impossible and ofcourse Mr Gordan Murray came to the right place knowing if anyone could create the engine he dreamt of and could push everything to its limits it was always going to be Cosworth.
This is going to go down as one of the all time greats. Gordon is the GOAT.
I was watching in my kitchen and busted my knee against a handle of a drawer when I saw the tachometer going to 13.000.
The engine will rev to max faster than the time it took for you to yell in pain.
GM being modest about the fan car. It was so "basic" that it was immediately banned from F1 for being too fast haha
it wasn't banned immediately. Bernie withdrew it because the it would have destroyed FOCA that he headed. The FIA did plan to write out it of the rges for the following year, but the car was never 'banned' as such
@@AlanDoveKarting you got a heart from I assume Gordon himself
Wow, this is the mclaren f1 2.0. Great Job Gordon. One of the best looking super car.. it's timeless.

This car being released during a pandemic, the timing is nuts but even more Legendary
Yeah but those people who can buy a car at 2.5M could buy if it was 5M regardless of timing....
That car isn't being released. That car doesn't trualy exist at this point.
@@normand5847 He literally talks about driving it on here.
@@lauri.lyijymaali Thar car is a prototype. The pre-production test mules haven't even been built yet. Not one single example of the car that will be sold to customers exists.
I just meant, what are the chances of this car being unveiled during a pandemic. Think about it, 25 years since the F1 and then the successor drops during these times.
I have no more words or tears left. As an early millennial who grew up with F40 and McLaren F1 posters on my wall, this is like a dream come true, eventhough I will never be able to afford one. Let it be known, that during my lifetime, I witnessed a TRUE successor to the McLaren F1, created again by the only man that could have, Sir Gordon Murray. This was the happiest few minutes I've had in 2020 and this is sadly going to be the swan song for PURE ANALOGUE automobiles. God Bless Murray for carving his own path and once again blowing the competition out of the water for another couple of decades !
Perfectly stated🤙👏
GM looking back as he walks off stage says it all. Bravo
20 years in F1, one of the most celebrated engineers in automotive history. and now the world gets this swan song of a car. I will likely never ever see this, nevermind drive it. but boy am i glad it exists
he is going to make a lot more cars
I hope we get to see one in person.

The advancements made on this car are incredible! Good job Gordon Murray and co.
Cosworth did some serious pioneering. No belts. This thing already looks like it will be reliable because less failure points. And with no belts, you can take the RPM way up without worrying that the engine will have a little mid-rev-snack of itself.
That moment at the end when GM is leaving stage and having a quick last glance at his creation... thats when you know it.
Absolutely amazing. Respect.

Gordon Murray in 2020: "Hold my V12 and a stick shift!"

Gordon Murray has perfected the F1 with the T.50!
Absolutely amazing car, its the detail and vision that underlines this is indeed a game changer in the way the F1 was.
What a great 'Virtual Launch' brilliantly put together.

It's not a track weapon, it's a road weapon.

"Best Driver's Car." - Gordon Murray
So, um, he said nothing about road or track. I'd like to drive it on thd road to a track to race. Because it's the best driver car. Lol😎 Get it?!
I will love to see Tiff Needell first reactions and opinion about the GMA T.50. I can't think of someone more passionate about cars. He's great to hear.
This sounds like we will have a new speed record for a normally aspirated car!!!
not quite, unless they decide to go for it. In another video for DRIVETRIBE, he said the theoretical top speed is around 225. definitely not slow by any means but not enough to topple the F1 yet.
I think gordon said in another video that it will have a top speed of around 225 mph. This is because of all of the downforce created with the fan. So not quite a new n/a speed record, but still an insanely fast car.
LA Rally The downforce creates by the fan doesn’t create much drag at all. That’s the point of the fan vs a big wing
Gordon already stated he was never concerned about beating the L.S.R or any of that stuff, just creating the most amazing and pure driving experience possible with a n.a engine. People aren't really salivating at the mouth to own a SSC Tuatara are they? Give me the T.50 any day over 336mph.

Nah, the Aston Martin Valkyrie is same level, but with all the others you're right.
@@ShionShinigami Valkerie is heavier. Valkerie will also be more race car like, therefore not as comfortable as the T.50. Gordon Murray's words
1. A beautiful design that doesn’t need to ‘grow on you”.
2. Pure functionality with active aero. No need for ugly fins and wings.
3. Naturally aspirated means instant response, no lag and easily predictable.
4. Patented driving position. Central is best.
5. Built without compromising quality, materials, or design. No rules.

Do you realize how great appreciation you are generating in car enthusiasts with this car that hasn't still moved a wheel? It is inheriting the McLaren "F1" story for sure, but I can already clearly feel that there's even more love from people for it than for any other car. Chapeau! This could be the time to celebrate with another handstitched pillow with GMA logo in it (Professor Murray will understand...).
Congratulations Gordon, my name is Luis Osuna, I had the immense pleasure of meeting you for the first time here in Argentina in 1975, and today, at 45 years old, you continue to be one of the greatest designers of all time, again Congratulations ... !!!!

Ready and waiting!
Great car, great marketing!
I have at least five videos to watch from this car and the official launch took place just a fill hours.
Guys I'm italian from Emilia Romagna (MotorValley) and this Car is the Best Recent car Ever Made.
In awe... Simply stunning both in concept approach and the outcome. Kudos Gordon and team!
For myself, the crowning achievement of this car is something we'll never actually see, that amazing fan and what it adds to the overall performance of the T.50.
Gordon is still one of best designers for any light car that we need more and more in the next years.
9:00 yep....enough said what’s the perfect footprint🤘🏼😜💥 Over all, thx Mr. Murray for creating such a beauty!
Genius, Gordon does it again, although I now have 2 major aches, one in my heart wanting one so badly and the other in my brain trying to work out how to afford one. This will be the best car ever, no arguments. Thank you for making it.
This is one of the few rare great highlights of 2020.
This is a fabulous spark of hope for the automotive landscape. Graceful in its shape, well proportioned and straightforward in what it wants to be. If I would be near any executive of a car company, I would tell them to look and listen - no unnecessary gimmicks, no spoilers scraping the ant's backs. This is pretty funny actually, it showcases the needlessness to clutter the car when you have so much potential for driving pleasure.
I adore the Micheline PS-4 choice on a reasonable rim, speaks aloud how far the average car tire technology has gone. The gear lever shape pleases me to no extent. I imagine because of the angle of the seat, you grip it just in the right angle making use of a whole palm of your hand.
Even though my dream car right now is a Yaris GR-4 as it encapsulates the epitome of year-round fun and it sits in a ballpark of my financial future, this one takes the spot of a car to sit in maybe just once and feel and hear the dedication that went into it.
Great job guys, I have no doubt you will succeed.
This are those particular times where everything fits in its right place at the right moment. From the beauty, elegance and sportiveness of the T.50, the class act that Mr. Murray is, with passion and simplicity to explain things for everybody to enjoy and learn, to the great host duo with Mr. Franchitti, and finally, a superb production and postproduction with that studio + light stage + mapping/motion design + editing/storytelling.
Serious Thanks!
Absolutely amazing. It's so great to see the car but much more to hear Gordon's comments. This is true creation and history making.
Talk about a giant killer... im speachless what a beautiful piece of art! Congratulations to everyone involved in building this car and thank you for the hard and amazing work!
I keep coming back here to watch this..... it’s absolutely fooking amazing over and over and over again. I don’t doubt that Gordon and team will deliver on every single one of the promises made..... can you imagine waking up in the morning and strolling down to your garage the day after you had your T50 delivered? Only the very lucky few will get to feel that feeling beyond just imagination. A thoroughbred of purity.
