- The Minnesota Hockey Essay Contest, presented by Park Dental, is an annual tradition that encourages players to express their thoughts on what makes youth hockey a positive environment.
Ziemer was one of three contest finalists that were highlighted on Bally Sports North (BSN) throughout the course of Hockey Day Minnesota.
All registered Minnesota Hockey participants were encouraged to enter the contest by completing the following: “Other kids should play hockey because..."
