Just used my 22’ BS Pizza conversion kit last night for the first time with the dough recipe from the owners manual. First off…the honey based dough was amazing!! Secondly, the oven cooked the 3 pizzas perfectly between 650-850 on the temp gauge. We personally liked the timing and bottom crust at 650-700 degrees. This thing gets super hot if you keep it on hot. My recommendation would be setting dials at roughly 7-8 o’clock and let it stabilize at 670ish without growing too much…maybe try a pre-heat on high and then turn it to 7-8. One accessory I found we needed was a brush to remove burnt corn meal from the stone…still working through that process. I’d give the new BlackStone Pizza oven a 9 out if 10 in performing to my expectations being a 54 year old lifelong home pizza nut!! Great unit!!!
PERFECT! Thanks, Todd! I’m going to permanently convert my 22” Blackstone griddle into this pizza oven, then buy a full sized Blackstone griddle for everything else.
Hi Todd, love the sweatshirt! I have that same one, that is a great series! Also, glad Blackstone is bringing out pizza oven stuff again. 🙂 God bless to you and your family!
Hey Todd, I have seen alot of videos cooking with this pizza oven. I do have one and thought it would be good for you to show people how to clean the stones.
Todd, just so you are aware this pizza oven kit does not fit all 22” table top griddles as is. I just received mine today and put it together only to discover it will not go down in the front. I have the original stainless steel version sold by HSN. The front plate has no slot for the igniter on the left side burner. I pretty sure can cut a slot with my Dremel and make it work. I was disappointed to say the least after unboxing and assembly. Update: Just a minor modification was needed. I cut an extra slot for the igniter. It fits just fine now. They changed the location of the left side igniter, mine is on the right side of the burn and the other models have it on the left side of the burner. I think if the igniter wire is long enough one could relocate the igniter to the left side. I just cut an additional slot for the igniter and left it in its original location.
Hi there - Thank you for watching and YES, all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ! The Chosen is a great show. My wife bought me The Chosen hoodie and t-shirt for my birthday!
Hmmm, I use my 22 for camping as it fits my RV just right along with the travel ready 17 with side burner. I don't have room for another 22 AND oven, just enough room for the oven, but this is sure tempting to add for our camping pleasures.
Make sure you take advantage of Facebook. Jess Ferrin of Cost 2 Cost Griddles (FB User's group) did a live unboxing, and first cook on hers tonight. Stay tuned. God bless!
It would be really exciting if Blackstone came out with a 36" option that fit a 20" pizza. That could change the game of home pizza making, specifically for New York style.
Glad Blackstone is bring back a pizza oven. I gotta say the original is much better IMHO with the rotating stone. Sure glad I got one years ago and still going strong.
Same here. Mine is still going strong as well. People who come over when I make pizza always search for it on the net with no luck. Glad I got mine before they were discontinued.
@Todd - I'm thinking a dedicated one is also the way to go. Yeah it's more space on the patio, but I'm sure it's a bit of a hassle to keep taking this off and putting it back on every time.
My wife and I just moved into a 480 sq ft tiny home on wheels (park model) as we just sold are home and are in the process of building a house up in the Northern Idaho. We have already talked about how my 22" blackstone is going to be our go to cooking instrument while we are in the tiny home, since intense smelling foods can be cooked outside to avoid stinking up the cramped space. We LOVE cooking pizzas on our oven pizza stone, but are dreading the extra heat in such a small space come summer and our temps hit 90-100 F. This might be the perfect solution for us!
Hi there - This is not a replacement for the old Blackstone Pizza Oven. Blackstone plans on releasing an entire line of Pizza Ovens in the future and this 22" Conversion Kit just happens to be the first in the line. I'll be excited to see the future products. I appreciate you watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, John. Enjoy and remember there's plenty of room for experimentation. Not one set stone temperature. You'll have to experiment with dough and temperatures. Have fun!
Does this come in a kit! 22 Blackstone with conversion pizza oven all together like in your video? I would love to buy the whole thing assembled. I would even pay more. Looks fabulous! Blackstone is the best!
I bought one. Made a brick frame 3 bricks high. Gonna add 1 more level. Used wood below reached 1000 degrees then cooked rib eye on low caast iron pan in 5 minutes ... heh
Looking for a cover for mine. Also, how do you manage burnt corn meal and such on the stone? I noticed it builds up on the back as I slide multiple pizzas in during a night of cooking. I love the Blackstone pizza conversion…outstanding pizza cook times…you can go crazy with 10-20 pizzas if you want. Great unit!!
That is funny! I have received several messages like this recently, "Todd, this stinks. I gave my 22" away 6 months ago. I have to go buy another one now. " It's just the way the cookie crumbled. I appreciate you watching and that's great that you have a 22" to spare!!!

Hi, James. The tour is half over and no, we obviously won't have one on tour. I have to cook for crowds of 50-100 people at a time and a 15" pizza wouldn't go very far. It's the Griddle More Tour and not the small pizza for 3 people tour. I hope that makes sense!! God-bless!
Todd do u know if Blackstone is planning to come out with a ceramic replacement cooking surface for those that might want a ceramic top but do not want to get rid of Blackstone. I have the 36 inch with air fryer?
Thanks for watching. Yeah, I think that is the rationale. You wouldn't want to switch back and forth. Just pick up an inexpensive Blackstone 22" table top and that becomes your Pizza Oven.
This is probably a new odd question. However, I think I have an idea if the inventors have not considered it. Is there a way to safely throw some wood smoke (think wood fired pizza) into the mix?
Hi. You do know I don’t own Blackstone? I don’t design products. I only cook. I guess you could try Customer Service if you want to pass stuff along. I appreciate you watching!!

Oh man I want one! I’ve been wanting a pizza oven but the one I like is $999! No! And I just happen to have the 22 and 17 griddle. Definitely will buy.
If you're gonna' buy one, you might want to do it sooner rather than later as I'm told they will probably sell out within the next week or so due the initial response.
This looks a lot nicer than mine . I may have to pick this one up. I do use my Blackstone 22 inch for the burner but I have a camp chef pz90 fits on it pretty good. But I do like the fact that it's a quick switch from The griddle to the pizza oven but doesn't look as nice as this new Blackstone .
Hi Todd, I heard that you need a heat shield and longer feet. Do I have to purchase longer feet for my 22"? I camp alot with it, do the stones remove for travel, a lot of nasty roads to travel on. Thanks for what you do and great content, God Bless!

Todd- Would you do a review on the 22" griddle stand? A lot of the reviews on Amazon are saying it's very flimsy and they're afraid to cook at max height with a hot 22". I want to get rid of my Coleman NXT and buy a 22" Adventure Ready with the stand and use it for camping/overlanding. I want to make sure it will be built well and stable though. It's a 22" Pizza Oven Conversion. It obviously won't fit any other sizes. Your local Walmart? I bought the Blackstone Pizza Oven and now I want to buy a griddle top and I'm debating whether I should get the cover too. I'll skip it if I have to disassemble it every time I want to make a pizza.
Own a pro series 36. Great unit. This is a little pricey if you don't own a 22. The kit is $227.00 and the 22 is $179.00 at Walmart Total, $400.00 pizza oven. Might need to think about pricing at a more adorable price.
I'm using the 22" Black Friday griddle here in this video! All 22" Blackstone Griddles are sold as Table Top units. It's up to the user whether or not they use it on a table or put it on the Blackstone 17/22 Stand. For this application, I'd recommend using it on a table as opposed to the stand as that would but a WHOLE lot of weight on the stand.
I personally would not have it on the Blackstone stand as the top is at least 50 pounds and I would prefer a more stable (actual table top) for the entire appliance. That's just my opinion.
Michell! Are you kidding me? That was a great day. Peoria came out in full force. Incredible crowd. First time ever in Peoria. More than likely, you won't see us around there for a while. Stay tuned!
Todd. Can I use that oven on my 36? Sorry, just too easy 😁😁😁😁. I miss the Rocky Mountain Meat Hunter vids. Newcomers will like what is that?. Apologies only OG's know this right. 😉. When are you coming to Phoenix, AZ. Take care of yourself and family

It is just for 22" table top or will it work with any table top????
Looks awesome, Todd! Blackstone is a great company! 😀
Todd does it have to be the Table Top or will it work on the 22in Black Friday griddle I have the Adventure Ready and the Pro Series??
I'm using the 22" Black Friday griddle here in this video! All 22" Blackstone Griddles are sold as Table Top units. It's up to the user whether or not they use it on a table or put it on the Blackstone 17/22 Stand. For this application, I'd recommend using it on a table as opposed to the stand as that would but a WHOLE lot of weight on the stand.
Sounds cool.
Looks massive
Is it better in the Blackstone stand or on a table type setting??
I personally would not have it on the Blackstone stand as the top is at least 50 pounds and I would prefer a more stable (actual table top) for the entire appliance. That's just my opinion.
@@praisehisawesomename I tend to agree with you! Thank you for your opinion! 😉😉😉
oh hell no did I miss you in Peoria IL?
Michell! Are you kidding me? That was a great day. Peoria came out in full force. Incredible crowd. First time ever in Peoria. More than likely, you won't see us around there for a while. Stay tuned!
Can this be put on a 22 Blackstone electric table top griddle?
No it can’t.
Hey Todd will this work on my 36 Also I couldn’t find this at Walmart. Just kidding couldn’t help my self
Hey Todd, how large of pizza can you cook in this oven?
15”.
@@DareDog. Thanks
Cold enough to see your breath Todd.
You’re killing me. For the first time ever, we did an Arizona tour this year. We did Tucson, Scottsdale, and Gilbert.
We mentioned it so much. I had it in so many videos promoting it.
I appreciate the flashback to the old days.
God bless!
Is there an outdoor cover for it?
No. I have 28” cover that I use on mine.
Ugh...my wife bought me an Ooni Karu pizza oven for Christmas. This would've been perfect.
