Blackstone is back in the pizza game. Introducing the Blackstone 22" Pizza Oven Conversion Kit! It's a Walmart.com exclusive!
Watch the video for the answers to your questions. I'm very busy with the Griddle More Tour and do not have time to answer questions that I cover in the video.
I'll be back with more as soon as I get a chance.
In the meantime, make sure you're watching my main show, Let's Give It A Try, on Blackstone's social media.
God-bless you!

We saw your Instagram post about this and we had to come check out your video. Thank you so much for showing us this cool product. We've just ordered our first Blackstone and now we're going to need a second one for a pizza oven. Nice work Todd!
PERFECT! Thanks, Todd! I’m going to permanently convert my 22” Blackstone griddle into this pizza oven, then buy a full sized Blackstone griddle for everything else.
Just used my 22’ BS Pizza conversion kit last night for the first time with the dough recipe from the owners manual. First off…the honey based dough was amazing!! Secondly, the oven cooked the 3 pizzas perfectly between 650-850 on the temp gauge. We personally liked the timing and bottom crust at 650-700 degrees. This thing gets super hot if you keep it on hot. My recommendation would be setting dials at roughly 7-8 o’clock and let it stabilize at 670ish without growing too much…maybe try a pre-heat on high and then turn it to 7-8. One accessory I found we needed was a brush to remove burnt corn meal from the stone…still working through that process. I’d give the new BlackStone Pizza oven a 9 out if 10 in performing to my expectations being a 54 year old lifelong home pizza nut!! Great unit!!!
Got mine today 😊 wife surprised me after showing her the video. Thanks Todd!! Love your content!
Their original pizza oven was one of the greatest. I still have one and they cook great and are super easy to use.
Hi Todd, love the sweatshirt! I have that same one, that is a great series! Also, glad Blackstone is bringing out pizza oven stuff again. 🙂 God bless to you and your family!
Hi, Sean. Thank you for watching. Yes, The Chosen is a series I try to support. God is good!!
Same here. Love The Chosen!!!
Good advice to keep this as a dedicated pizza oven, since it is a solid 50+ pound accessory. Definitely looks well made👍
Nice! Hopefully they just update the old design with a bigger stone. I love my patio oven and use it just about every week.
I will be honest, I came here for a review of the pizza oven, but fell in love more with your hoodie. I love that show!
Hi there - Thank you for watching and YES, all glory to the Lord Jesus Christ! The Chosen is a great show. My wife bought me The Chosen hoodie and t-shirt for my birthday!
I'm so glad Blackstone finally is bringing the pizza oven back. Can't wait to pick one up! By the way, awesome sweatshirt. Can't wait for season 3!!
Hi there - This is not a replacement for the old Blackstone Pizza Oven. Blackstone plans on releasing an entire line of Pizza Ovens in the future and this 22" Conversion Kit just happens to be the first in the line. I'll be excited to see the future products. I appreciate you watching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice hoodie. Man I really like this pizza oven. Thanks for sharing👍👍
Looks pretty cool! I can't wait to see all the pizzas made with it. :)
Wow 🤩 I got the original 36 that oil leaks down leg of grill and no rear grease tray and I LOVE IT now pizza oven got to get it.
28" pls. This is awesome. I love making pizza.
Looks awesome, Todd! Blackstone is a great company! 😀
Seen one at my local Walmart. Came real close to buying it. I will definitely be getting one soon.
Oh yeah! Can’t wait to see what other pizza/patio ovens they come out with!
Hmmm, I use my 22 for camping as it fits my RV just right along with the travel ready 17 with side burner. I don't have room for another 22 AND oven, just enough room for the oven, but this is sure tempting to add for our camping pleasures.
Got mine all set up today! Excited to create some good eats on this 🤩
@Todd - I'm thinking a dedicated one is also the way to go. Yeah it's more space on the patio, but I'm sure it's a bit of a hassle to keep taking this off and putting it back on every time.
This looks a lot nicer than mine . I may have to pick this one up. I do use my Blackstone 22 inch for the burner but I have a camp chef pz90 fits on it pretty good. But I do like the fact that it's a quick switch from The griddle to the pizza oven but doesn't look as nice as this new Blackstone .
Peoria, IL!!! My neck of the woods, hurray! See you there.
something else to add to my outdoor kitchen plans for next year, defiantly need a second 22inch
Love the hoodie!! I'm a fan. Thanks for the review!
Thanks for the run down and the important information. Mine will be here tomorrow and i cant wait to use it
Cost approximately?
I will be getting one of these! Love the sweat shirt!
Awesome idea, thanks for sharing ❤️👍❤️
I might just have to break down and get one of these. I can think of all kinds of things to cook in there!!
Can't wait mine comes tomorrow 😊
Man excited. Hope u making a cooking video on it very soon before I buy please. Thanks for what u do.
Make sure you take advantage of Facebook. Jess Ferrin of Cost 2 Cost Griddles (FB User's group) did a live unboxing, and first cook on hers tonight. Stay tuned. God bless!
LOVE this and the sweatshirt!
Can't wait to see what these other "versions" coming are? My mind is really humming on that.
Yoohoo Todd great addition! keep working on those others......
Looking for a cover for mine. Also, how do you manage burnt corn meal and such on the stone? I noticed it builds up on the back as I slide multiple pizzas in during a night of cooking. I love the Blackstone pizza conversion…outstanding pizza cook times…you can go crazy with 10-20 pizzas if you want. Great unit!!
Todd, just so you are aware this pizza oven kit does not fit all 22” table top griddles as is. I just received mine today and put it together only to discover it will not go down in the front. I have the original stainless steel version sold by HSN. The front plate has no slot for the igniter on the left side burner. I pretty sure can cut a slot with my Dremel and make it work. I was disappointed to say the least after unboxing and assembly.
Update: Just a minor modification was needed. I cut an extra slot for the igniter. It fits just fine now. They changed the location of the left side igniter, mine is on the right side of the burn and the other models have it on the left side of the burner. I think if the igniter wire is long enough one could relocate the igniter to the left side. I just cut an additional slot for the igniter and left it in its original location.
Very Nice about time!!! I Hope they make a New Patio Oven it was the best!
Sweet. Will be SO nice to be able to properly cook a homemade pizza.
Hey Todd, I have seen alot of videos cooking with this pizza oven. I do have one and thought it would be good for you to show people how to clean the stones.
My wife and I just moved into a 480 sq ft tiny home on wheels (park model) as we just sold are home and are in the process of building a house up in the Northern Idaho. We have already talked about how my 22" blackstone is going to be our go to cooking instrument while we are in the tiny home, since intense smelling foods can be cooked outside to avoid stinking up the cramped space. We LOVE cooking pizzas on our oven pizza stone, but are dreading the extra heat in such a small space come summer and our temps hit 90-100 F. This might be the perfect solution for us!
Looks wonderful and amazing!
Thank YOU for watching, Keith!!!
It is awesome and is easy to transition from griddletop to pizza oven top!
That is great for those wandering what to do with the 22" after upgrading to a 28" or 36". It would be a great addition to a outdoor set-up.
Exactly!! I just found my excuse to upgrade!!!
This looks well built. And I must have..
It would be really exciting if Blackstone came out with a 36" option that fit a 20" pizza. That could change the game of home pizza making, specifically for New York style.
I just use my kitchen range for 20" NY pies.
Love love the Sweatshirt!!!
Wife and i just ordered ours while watching your video i have been looking for a reason to use my 22 inch more lol
Oh man, about time!
Oh man this is great!
Just bought it! Can’t wait.
Hi, John. Enjoy and remember there's plenty of room for experimentation. Not one set stone temperature. You'll have to experiment with dough and temperatures. Have fun!
Well I know what I want for father's day!
Everyone, the stone is 15” in diameter.
I want one of those tables for mine!
Looks awesome
Great info
Love your shirt Todd!
Thanks, Sue!!!!!!!!!!
Glad Blackstone is bring back a pizza oven. I gotta say the original is much better IMHO with the rotating stone. Sure glad I got one years ago and still going strong.
Same here. Mine is still going strong as well. People who come over when I make pizza always search for it on the net with no luck. Glad I got mine before they were discontinued.
Do you gots any stand along Pizza Oven like the OG blackstone unit?
Own a pro series 36. Great unit. This is a little pricey if you don't own a 22. The kit is $227.00 and the 22 is $179.00 at Walmart Total, $400.00 pizza oven. Might need to think about pricing at a more adorable price.
I have a 22" griddle and pizza oven on its way!
I have one on order. I have 22” already. Kicking myself for not buying 22” Black Friday sale on 22” griddle just to have another one. It would come in handy now lol. So far best comment I seen is someone asking if it would work on the e-Series 😂
Lol. Agreed.
I was starting to think about giving my 22" away due to upgrading to a 36" with the air fryer. Dodged a bullet there :D
That is funny! I have received several messages like this recently, "Todd, this stinks. I gave my 22" away 6 months ago. I have to go buy another one now. " It's just the way the cookie crumbled. I appreciate you watching and that's great that you have a 22" to spare!!!
You say any 22inch griddle but I do not see how you could use the walmart 22 inch pro series special edition for this!if you can please explain!! 🙄🤔
wow I can convert my old travel griddle into a pizza oven.. Sweet!!
You CAN do it! God-bless!
@@praisehisawesomename Todd I ordered my Black Stone pizza oven will be here on the 10th. Thanks brother
Thank you for this
Awesome!!
That thing is sweet.
The Chosen....NICE!
It is just for 22" table top or will it work with any table top????
Sounds cool.
Amazing man
already have mine and plan on using it tonight
Wow! You're quick!
I've learned that most new things are limited quantity from blackstone
Looks massive
Looks RAW
Nice
Top stone is key but why not make the bottom one square? Yeah round allows air flow but limits pizza size
I bought one.
Made a brick frame 3 bricks high.
Gonna add 1 more level.
Used wood below reached 1000 degrees then cooked rib eye on low caast iron pan in 5 minutes ... heh
I ordered the combo kit from Blackstone. I plan on making this just a dedicated pizza oven. No back and forth.
Good choice, that's what I'm doing! Enjoy your new Pizza Oven, Billy.
Does this come in a kit! 22 Blackstone with conversion pizza oven all together like in your video? I would love to buy the whole thing assembled. I would even pay more. Looks fabulous! Blackstone is the best!
Only comes with pizza oven. Have to buy 22” base separately.
Great video. Can't wait to try it. I'm just south of Effingham. What are you doing in town?
The griddle more tour. Todd goes to Walmart or different places and does a live demo of cooking on black stone griddle.
I just got 28 inch griddle……..I’m sad…..- suanne nutter…can’t wait til the next larger version of oven
Oh man I want one! I’ve been wanting a pizza oven but the one I like is $999! No! And I just happen to have the 22 and 17 griddle. Definitely will buy.
If you're gonna' buy one, you might want to do it sooner rather than later as I'm told they will probably sell out within the next week or so due the initial response.
Can this be used on the 22in E20?
Love the sweatshirt
Thanks, Robert! All glory to king Jesus around here. I appreciate you watching!
Cool 😎👍. Hello Todd when is your first cooking video with the Blackstone Pizza Oven ? 🍕🍕🍕🍕
Thanks for watching. I don't know what the future holds. You will know when I know. LOL. God-bless!
Todd do u know if Blackstone is planning to come out with a ceramic replacement cooking surface for those that might want a ceramic top but do not want to get rid of Blackstone. I have the 36 inch with air fryer?
They have it on the e series non stick top. I know pit boss has lot of issues with their ceramic tops now. Not holding up.
@Todd - quick question - does the pizza oven lock itself securely into the Blackstone? Meaning if I wanted to use the side handles on the pizza oven - could i carry both at 1 unit? Just thinking if I get a dedicated 22 for it and want to store both elsewhere when not in use.
My opinion, you're going to want to use it as a dedicated Pizza Oven. If you watch my Let's Give It A Try episode coming out this Saturday I mention that. It doesn't just "allow you to cook pizzas" on your griddle, it literally turns your griddle into a Pizza Oven.
The handles are for lifting the top only. You have to lift the entire unit (griddle/Pizza top) from the bottom.
Todd, Effingham is Central Illinois.
Can you leave the heat shield on the Blackstone 22 from the Pizza conversion to use the griddle top, or does it have to be removed each time?
You can leave it.
Thanks for the video! Do you know if the conversion will work with the hood attached or does that need to be removed as well as the griddle itself? I'm doing things a little backwards. I bought the Blackstone Pizza Oven and now I want to buy a griddle top and I'm debating whether I should get the cover too. I'll skip it if I have to disassemble it every time I want to make a pizza.
Hood and griddle need to be removed. They come off as one unit all together. Your better off buying a whole griddle. Cheaper than buying it in pieces
@@DareDog. Thanks!
This is probably a new odd question. However, I think I have an idea if the inventors have not considered it. Is there a way to safely throw some wood smoke (think wood fired pizza) into the mix?
Hi. You do know I don’t own Blackstone? I don’t design products. I only cook. I guess you could try Customer Service if you want to pass stuff along. I appreciate you watching!!
That Chosen hoodie is 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. God is good!!!!!!!!!!
Can this be put on a 22 Blackstone electric table top griddle?
No it can’t.
Ours arrives this week! What size paddle will fit in it? Wanted to order one and have it ready!! Thanks! Great video.
Hi, John - You'll want a 14" peel!
@@praisehisawesomename thanks for the info
Todd does it have to be the Table Top or will it work on the 22in Black Friday griddle I have the Adventure Ready and the Pro Series??
I'm using the 22" Black Friday griddle here in this video! All 22" Blackstone Griddles are sold as Table Top units. It's up to the user whether or not they use it on a table or put it on the Blackstone 17/22 Stand. For this application, I'd recommend using it on a table as opposed to the stand as that would but a WHOLE lot of weight on the stand.
Hey Todd, will this work on my 36 inch griddle? Also, I cant find it at my local Wal-Mart, what's gives?
It's a 22" Pizza Oven Conversion. It obviously won't fit any other sizes. Your local Walmart? There are 5,000 Walmarts. 350 million people in the US so I obviously don't know who's buying what at any given time. In any event, you can simply order it off their website for free shipping to your house or store!! www.walmart.com/ip/Blackstone-Steel-Outdoor-Propane-Pizza-Oven-Add-on-Fits-22-Tabletop-Models/340662790?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227340662790_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=42423897272&wl4=aud-1169585590980:pla-295289030566&wl5=9053206&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=340662790&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4vKpBhCZARIsAOKHoWRFClB_ptpDjqoyCwB7FhL2M8wuICGW6cmmPHeSxAutWhvRKFGiIgIaAre6EALw_wcB
I appreciate you watching!@!!
What did you place the 22inch stove on top of?
One of black stone prep carts.
@ToddToven - Did I hear you say that you are going to be in Peoria, IL next weekend? I live in Peoria….How do I find out details on when and where?
Hi, Bryan - I apologize as I do not have the dates in front of me. Yes! The dates were announced in January. Just go to Facebook.com/BlackstoneProducts and click on EVENTS
Hope to see you there!
@@praisehisawesomename I actually found the day/time/location online. Unfortunately it is “sold out” from an RSVP stand point, so I won’t get a hat. But I’ve got it in my calendar and will be there. Looking forward to it. Any chance CJ is making a guest appearance?! LOL
@@bryanlarson8499 The hats were “sold out” the first hour, 3 months ago. Remind me and I will hook you up with a hat there.
Nice god bless
Will this work on the 22inch electric griddle
No. 22” propane only.
Cold enough to see your breath Todd.
Hello just received my pizza addition and it won’t fit my 22 inch stainless steel model should it fit this model? Any help Would be appreciated
Some one else posted about that to. It should work. I see Nate,cj, and Betty have stainless 22” one and it works. Call customer service.
@@DareDog. thank you I have submitted a ticket with black stone support
