  • Today we set off for Paguera and decided to start our walk from the opposite end to that from which we usually start.
How lucky we were, it was market day, so we had the opportunity to visit the stalls. Anita, as usual, managed to purchase a few items, including a bottle of local wine.
Heading down to the beach we walked along the beach, watching the surfers and even saw some processionary caterpillars.
At the end of our walk we found a restaurant, overlooking the bay, with a fantastic menu del dia.
Thanks for watching and please share the video with you friends.

Thanks for yet another excellent video. Bags, bags and bags! Very diplomatic Steve in certain parts of the narration. I have been following the situation over there regarding tests. Absolutely beautiful weather you lucky folk. Here in Derbyshire, we've had snow! On and off most of the afternoon...Jakki

Thanks Jakki, there seems to have been snow everywhere. My family in Stoke sent videos of snow and, surprisingly, our daughters, who live in the south of England, also had snow. We are due a cold snap today... brrr.

    Hi,
Have just discovered your videos and wanted to thank you for posting so we can get to see different parts of the Island as we are non drivers so unless public transport is good from where we stay we either dont get to see other places or it costs us an arm and a leg in Taxi fares! We have stayed in Palma Nova at the son Matias beach hotel several times but our main resort is Cala Bona at the Hotel Alicia.
Paguera really does look inviting I must say so may be on the list for a future stay?
your video brings some Sunshine at a very dismal time so thanks once again.

Hi Steve and Anita from a sunny but very cold Macclesfield. Really enjoying your videos, keep them coming please, my wife particularly likes that you show your meals as well. Do you ever get over to the NE of the island, we like Cala Bona and Arta.

Thanks Peter, we were chatting to our friend in Leek the other day and they were telling us about the cold weather they were having.
We keep saying that we should go over to the East coast but haven't really made it. I am back at work next week so only have the weekends to get out and about.
      We will get there though.
      Thanks for watching.

We were surprised to find the market. It wasn't on the list of markets that I looked at. From the markings on the floor for the stalls, there ispotential for a lot of stalls there.
      Thanks for watching Shirley.

Paguera is a nice place. You won't find any lager louts or hooligans there.
It's a resort for families and older couples who want a holiday on the seaside with just the right amount of bars and restaurants.
Pretty much the German equivalent to what Pto de Pollensa is for the British.

We've not visited Peguera before but will make sure we do and on a Tuesday too. It looks lovely.
I'm going to take a leaf out of Anita's book and send hubby one way whilst I explore another in the market 😁 All the fruit and veg stalls and colourful children's clothes and flowers manage to hook me all the time.
Thank you for thinking to include things like what you order at cafes and restaurants and showing the receipt at the end. It really does highlight how good the cost of living is compared to the UK. We dreamed of moving to Majorca once retired or at least having a second home there but Brexit has scuppered those dreams ☹
Here comes the slightly awkward question........😂 Toilets, do you notice public loos available to use whilst out and about? The older I get, the more governed I seem to be by loo stops when ever I set foot from my front door!😳🤣

    • @SteveandAnitainMallorca
      @SteveandAnitainMallorca  3 года назад +1

Thanks Vicky, There are some great places to eat, at reasonable prices.
As far as public toilets are concerned, they are few and far between, hence our frequent coffee stops! Most bars are pretty good though but when they were sut during the lockdown we had to think twice before we went out.

Nice to see Peguera, been nearly every year since 1984 staying at the hotel Flor los Almendros which is behind the Mar y Pins. We know the area of south west Mallorca very well and over the years, have made lots of European friends German in particular. We are Welsh and speak the language daily, so in Peguera its Welsh, Spanish then German. Diolch / Gracias

So funny, I did actually buy a bag for my mother in Paguera. From a shop on the Bulevard. Avoid Valentin Paguera unless you want to be disturbed daily by noise from adjacent rooms and rooms above! Cleaners are very noisy and there is zero soundproofing despite them claiming to have soundproofing. You have been warned. I would avoid staying there, but they do have a good and varied buffet dinner which is worth trying. However, some of the staff working in the dining room clearing tables etc can be very unprofessional.

We started in the west, the Andratx side and walked towards the east, the Santa Ponsa. The market is near to the road that takes you to Cala Fornells.
