I was 18 when I married. My first husband went in the Army 5 months after we married and was in Viet Nam. My second husband served with the Navy and was in during the Viet Nam era. I am also the mother of a veteran who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Though both of my husbands are gone now, my son is still with us. I am proud of all three. Freedom is not free and no one will know that better than those families who have loved ones who gave all. God Bless Gary Sinise with all that he does in helping our veterans.

I was in the audience in Pueblo Colorado at a concert by Lt Dan band for a Medal of Honor recipients convention. As he went past me he acknowledged me because of my NAVY ret hat.
Thanks Gary, only two entertainers love the military enough to go anywhere they are to entertain them you and Bob Hope. As a Vietnam vet that was lucky enough to see the Bob Hope Long Bin show in 1970 I want to tell you how much you do is appreciated.
You totally ROCK Gary SINISE. Such a wonderful, wonderful person for ALL you have done in your lifetime for the military, veterans and families, and ALL mankind. Saw the Lt Dan Band on base about 10 years ago, what a group of talented individuals! And Gary Sinese is not the main player, every member of the band is extraordinarily talented!
You did great in FORREST GUMP, Lt. Dan / Gary S. Your band and foundation has a wonderful cause. Keep up the great work. Salute to you, Sir, and to all the veterans and all the active soldiers. You are a good musician, too.

I dislike the fact Gary Sinise stopped acting, one of the good ones. But then I've learned he is doing this and a lot of charity.....and I am not disappointed anymore, just proud.
If everyone was just a little bit like that this world would shine like a new penny or even a brand new $20 gold piece made of pure gold the value is not just in the gold it's in the performance of the machine that makes it and that's Gary Sinise and all of his minions may they always be in circulation around the world and may they always shine like proofs long after Gary is gone and May Gary Sinise and Lieutenant Dan carry on the strength of wisdom and caring forever amen
he needs to do finding your roots! harry gates jr. please make it happen! i am in awe of this man, give him the medal of freedom already! AND the jean hersholt humanitarian award!
Truly Amazing! My dad and uncle were in many battles in WW2. My uncle served in 3rd ID (Audie Murphy’s outfit) and was in all 4 amphibious landings of war. He would be an improvement than the guy in there right now. Trump has disrespected the troops time and time again.

I saw the Lt. Dan Band in concert almost 11 years ago in St. Charles, MO. What a great time. 🥰
Hi Gary, thank you for all the work you did!
