I'm sooo impressed with the MaisieLane journal, and it will most likely be my next journal :) I think the Scribble & Dot notebooks look super pretty too though, especially their new deep green color :)

Yes it is a great choice for pure white pages. The ink pot also has the white pages, so I guess it depends on the number of pages you’d like and front cover design!

I’ve been wanting a 160 gsm journal for a while, but I’m not a huge fan of linen covers, I’ve heard conflicting stories about Archer and Olive’s quality, and Notebook Therapy’s A5s are all limited edition, which gives me serious anxiety.
Haha I know what you mean, I get really anxious about things like that too! I'm pleased you discovered some new brands. Linen covers get extremely dirty which is my main issue with them, I'm quite keen to try out faux leather for next year.

Nice! This year I used the Peter Pauper bullet journal that I got from a friend from my birthday at the beginning of the year. It was really good with very little ghosting or bleed through, but I found that it doesn’t have good front covers or even a good variety. For the second half, I just used the dotted journals from Michaels and I gotta say, they are actually fairly good! For the really cheap price, it a bit of bleeding but since I only use it for half the year, I glue two pages together so they are thicker and won’t show through
I have the Dingbats right now because I couldn't resist the adorable elephant!! However, I'm intrigued by the Maisie Lane because of the thicker paper and would like to try it for 2021 as a fresh start. Thank you very much for creating this informative video 💕

I don't like cloth- or linen-bound notebooks, they tend to look gross after some time, no matter how careful you handle them. I already have my next journal bought, it's a Dingbats journal, the light blue one with the Great Barrier Reef motive. The paper is a bit thicker than the Leuchtturm, my current one. Nonetheless, I bought the pale pink Maisie Lane one with the poppy on the spine, it looks very beautiful. Thanks for showing all those options.

Yes I think that’s the case. Archer and Olive also have lots of choice in terms of colours and designs! But the paper quality and binding seems very similar to the Maisie lane

Yeah a lot of us are really enjoying thicker paper, I know I am. The Baron Fig was a great option, if I liked thinner paper for journalling/drawing I would’ve gone for that! It’s 90gsm like Leuchtturm but feels like better quality paper
I know this is a late reply, but if you are looking for a new notebook to start this year, other options for 100gsm would be: Scribbles that Matter; Little More; Rhodium Mines; TeNeues; Rhodia; Muji; Dingbats Wildlife and Ottergami.
My scirbble and dot bullet journal was the koala one it was adorable but the pages were white not ivory as yours were .. you could barley see the dots. Sometimes I couldn't see them
Oh the koala looks lovely. I just got one from the new range too, and the pages are white instead of ivory. Yes it’s great for people who don’t want to see the dots!

Im using scribble and dot, even tho 160gsm sometimes markers bleed, but I like amount of wrinkling
Some markers (like sharpies) just always seem to bleed! 🙉
