Y'know Gabe, I've been watching you now for years, you always have great content and a positive way about you which I appreciate. Since the addition of Miss Crystal Beachy into the fold the excitement of everything has increased at least 100-150% You get the sense that you're on the same adventure as several episodes since she joined the fold we learned that she has never done a lot of this kind of adventuring before!! Totally true statement, our first sail was caught by accident on light tackle while fishing for Mahi in seaweed patch, had to harvest it, after that we amped up our tackle sure enough two trips later we hooked one up on the troll around while working a piece of wood, he got hooked on the 30w two speed, he was on the boat in less than 5 minutes, released and survived.
There's nothing more exciting than to watch Crystal get so excited in whatever it is she is doing. Like watching a child for the first time ever in their own little world that like on the first day of Christmas they just can't stop talking about the excitement of that day. You just gotta love her as she makes all the videos that much more fun to watch. You gotta a keeper there Gabe as I say if she's what makes your world complete with her by your side then you know you found the one who you can't live without and you gotta all you need to make your world complete. For each day is a new adventure whether it be something simple or super amazing. Super job Crystal as though it's a beautiful fish there was nothing more beautiful and awesome than watching you catch it. Gotta a little teary eyes as was over joyed for you as if you were my baby girl who makes her daddy proud in whatever she accomplishes and watching her get excited in doing it. Several things.... I love this video more than the Bass video you wanted to make and share and I am sure I would have enjoyed that video regardless. Beachy is just fun. Everything is so new to her and it's great to see that enjoyment. Gabe, I believe you are just as excited as we are when she is happy. Hey Gabe back when I was 14 I had hickory smoked Sailfish and it was the best fish I have ever eaten and that was back in 1966.I was born and raised in Hollywood ,Fla.
I am right handed, I hold the rod in my right hand and reel with my left. Like normal people, lol. You go Crystal.

Well done Crystal, It has always been my dream to catch a sailfish or marlin, but you have to go a long way from the UK to catch them, and the times I've tried they have never shown.
As a recommendation, try your fish dip using good quality hot horseradish, rather than the jalapenos and tabasco, it is perfect with smoked fish.
As someone who has uses Left handed reels all my life, going to the right handed one I have now was the worse mistake Ive made LOL Love the videos!
In a pinch you can use celery seed as a substitute. A couple of pinches smooshed between you fingers....good to go! Have a great week! Nice sail!
@Bluegabe, I was surprised (by the first 8 min) that the bass weren't jumping with the storm and lighting coming upon you! That condition can be some of the best fish'in!
I fish a left-hand retrieve reel also, but I am right-handed, I taught myself years ago so I do not have to cast and switch hands and I can make more casts in a day. I use my left hand to reel a spinning rod so now all I use are left hand retrieve. great video as usual and looking at crystal having so much fun is a bonus. I love bringing my wife along with me.

When my 3 1/2 year old daughter caught her first fish on that river, a bluegill, she did the same yell. kissed and released it of course. This was the perfect video. Good, do not let Crystal get struck by lightening. If she wasn't on these videos I would probably only watch once in awhile. Where was she when I was young looking for a perfect lady. She is pretty, nice, and likes doing what I like doing. You are very fortunate to have here. Treat her right my man.
Crystal has it right! I'm a right hander that reels left and taught myself that way after fishing the other for years. Doesn't make sense to cast with your right and then switch hands to reel in! Also ,trolling with my 1875 LUND PROGUIDE with a 90 Merc Tiller you have to use your left hand on the tiller. May as well hold the rod in your right and if you get a hit just reel with your Left!👊🙂

I'm with her on the reel. Right handed and use lefty bait caster for 2 reasons. You don't need to switch hands casting and prevents my son from crows nesting my reel cause he won't touch a lefty. Lol

Very true about sailfish and Marlin being released and often never to live further. On our trips we try hard to not catch them because of the gear they damage for a fish we aren't targeting. Often it's much harder to try NOT to catch the pesky things. LOL

Sorry you guys got rained out! But the sailfish was cool. A sailfish remains my biggest catch ever, I think he was 75 pounds. We were able to revive him and let him go, but we got our pictures in the local paper.
