I like playing as a windwalker monk because I love the fist of fury ability. I don't know why but i really like seeing my character start throwing punches at the enemy and it feels great

Hey in the opener Section i think you missed something. It´s better to use BoK after the SotWl because of the Legendary "The Wind Blows" which gives you a BoK! procc which will deal 175% more dmg due to 4p. My Opener is like this: Chi Wave (Getting Concordance pre pull and then the next back to back) -> TP -> ToD -> SEF -> RSK -> EE -> FoF -> TP -> SotWl -> BoK -> WDP -> RSK. But yeah, if you´re missing "The Wind Blows" and 4p you´re right i think :D Greetings from Germany

Great guide thanks! One clarification though; you can’t ‘waste’ Power Strikes. If you’re at 3 chi (or 4 or 5) and you have the Power Strikes buff active if you press tiger palm the game will not consume the buff. It will hold it until you’re at 2 chi or less and then give you the extra chi.

Wow, so much good info here. I left WoW after WotLK, making my way back with a fresh account. I wanted to try something new and this looks great as it is not just 1 or 2 button spam. I may have to buy the game again, I miss it.
I run my rotation differently, but that kinda is because of the leggos I run, I use helm and boots and utilize the power strike talent. In my opinion you kinda miss out on a bit of damage. I run the storm earth fire rotation with the power strike being the only difference in talents. With the Antorus teir I’m able to get off my whole rotation in with 1 full chi bar, not having to tiger paw at all, and hit 9mil on touch of death expiration... that’s without buffs, as in flask, food or rune. Also without lust. Now with those in combo I’m touching about 10milor 10 mil flat. My monk is ilvl958 with stats being mastery 46 crit 33 haste 14 verse 7.

Just started playing WW after being Brewmaster for so long, decided to try to mage tower, got it in the first try, man was it a joke with 925 ilvl.

4:30 actually no! I tested this out and it turns out if you have three chi and use tiger palm while affected by power strikes it won’t activate. Just so you know! It’s a very underrated passive but I do agree that elixir is better anyway.
It might have changed at some point and I haven't played with power strikes at all this expansion but it used to work only if you could benefit from it and timer on your next power strikes would start even if you haven't gotten a chi from previous one yet.
As for your opener it's not that great if you include lego helm and t21 which is what most people run and getting legos are not that hard these days. You can get few more stacks of hit combo before even using ToD and you get at least one free hard hitting BoK into your ToD.

hey, sorry but your opener is wrong. The best DPS opener is -
2 sec before pull timer
Chi wave (to get combo strikes and mastery going) - FSK (combo strikes) -TP - ToD - SEF - RSK - EE - SOTW - FoF - WDP - BK
[ CW - FSK - TP - ToD - SEF - RSK - EE - SOTW - FoF - WDP - BK ]
A tip burst rotation is bit werid compare to mine. That is not max burst and that will delay your next burst. But for all the content, i like it!

Your tell me when profile works, but the CD's arnt showing at all. I can see the layout but nothing goes on when i use spells.

can you link your weakauras?
and your multiple target rotation is basically using your fist of fury + whirling punch, then use fist/kick on every mob and then use spinning crane kick, then if you have fist of fury/whilring punch spells back use those and otherwise go back to using 1 different spell for mastery and crane kick again or do you need to tag them all again before using another crane kick?
Well, the tag for crane kick stays for about 16 seconds or so so you don't need to be constantly tagging, and the fists and whirling punch takes priority unless your crane kick is with really high stacks, above 5. So when those are on cooldown is when you do your crane kick, in the middle of that, so as you building chi and using rising sun kick to allow for whirling punch, is when you are applying the said crane tags
Never break your mastery to apply marks though, that takes priority above all.

I thought it would work that way indeed but wasnt sure, that makes it quite easy then, so you use fists and punch, then tag everything, then spam crane cick while keeping mastery up and then use fist+punch again, after all that you will probably have to refresh again.

Hey buddy, what UI addons are you using (actionbar, map, healthbar and chi bar etc) and also what add on are you using to track your cooldowns? sorry new player here
UI addon is Elvui, big overall changes practically everything.
The cooldown ones are Tellmewhen, where you can place the icons of anything, wherever you want.
A more popular choice is known as weakaruas. Usually, you can find profiles where you just copy and paste and no need to config them. My Tellmewhen profile is in the description.

Nop, Elvui is only downloadable from their own website :) - Make sure is Elvui and not Tukui, there are different versions.

What 3 specs and class have you enjoyed the most this expansion. Interested to hear your thoughts as you have played all classes to varying degrees.

But short answer top 3 classes would've to be Death Knight, Mage and Monk.
Top specs, Blood DK, Windwalker Monk and Unholy DK.
what about enhancement thought? that shit's amazing, I feel like a boss when I get everything right with that class
Yep indeed, shaman overall pretty high on there, maybe replacing Mage when I really think about, especially due Frost spec and RNG fest...

Actually i pop serenity first. I get in Rising Sun Kick, Strike Of The Windlord, Blackout Kick, Rising Sun Kick, then Fists of Fury then i start a normal rotation with tiger palms and build into a touch of death combo
What I hate the most about the WW monk are 2 things: energy regen and rising sun kick's and fists of fury's cooldowns

Hey man, Its me again. Is this Elvui profile still up-to-date? I really like the presentation. I have been doing mine but still confused on a lot of stuff. Im planning to make yours as a base if that's ok :D
Yea updated it just now, remember though, that some settings aren't saved on the profile, like the chat, I use the classic one, not the elvui, depending on what you want you to need to disable. I also disable all the skins that change things like, quest logs or character panel. All of that isn't saved, in case you see that it doesn't look exactly like mine.

I have the bis lego chest - The Emperor's Capacitor and here is Crackling Jade Lightning on the prio list...where i should put it in rotation? thx and sry for my bad english
I play WW a bit weird, so take this with a grain of salt. That being said, I use it whenever I cap at 20 stacks (I use TellMeWhen to track stacks) or I'm at 18-19 stacks and I'm low on chi and energy. Since it's a channel, your energy will usually go up by 1/2 or 3/4 while you're channeling. Once CJL ends, you'll have enough energy to go back into Tiger Palm and start burning more chi spenders. If you're at 20 stacks and have Storm Earth and Fire up, pop that first and use CJL during that burst window. With 20 stacks it does insane damage. You can also use the chest for cleave damage by popping Storm Earth and Fire but only hitting it once, and letting your minions run off and hit new targets. They copy your CJL channel damage, so they'll be dealing 50% of that buffed damage to separate targets. It's surprisingly effective when there's only 2 or 3 targets.
Generally, just use it when the stacks are up and your energy is below 50% or so. You don't want to keep it at 20 stacks for too long, as any chi spenders you use after that will be wasted, but don't be afraid to hang onto it if your Touch of Death has 15-20 seconds left and you're nearly in your burst window. The damage boost is worth waiting until your cooldowns are up.

Looking for someone who teaches the simple way to play a Windwalker Monk. Why bring up Mastery: Combo Stricks when it is not a talent they will use. It is Passive and this will confuse many people watching. The easy way to explain is you hit Tiger Palm 3 times then hit Blackout Kick. Much simpler. Most people want to know the 1,2,& 3 hitting power, not someone trying to teach them what it means. There is also your older people the 50s' 60s' & & 70s' which make up a great many people looking for someone to teach the simple way to play a Windwalker Monk.

The title of the video says "Full DPS guide", not "Easy", which by your example would be just a bad way of playing the class. The whole point of a guide is to show how to play the class in an optimal way. And if you're looking for a guide in the first place that means you want to learn how to play the class properly, not just spamming one ability because that's the "easy way".
The point of bringing up the mastery is that you DO use it. You use it by simply not using the same ability back to back, seems pretty simple, what you seem to want is a video guide telling you the wrong way to dps as a monk and holding your hand and telling you its ok.

You can make it simpler - You can change chi wave to Eye of the Tiger, Change Energizing Elixir to Power Strikes - Everyone will say it will be less DPS, but if you do not know how to use Chi Wave or Energizing Elixir optimally, it wont be much of a DPS loss.

Well i dont realy see the Point in having Strike of the Windlord that low in the Rotation. It definitifly needs to be before Fists, and without Serenity probably even before Rising Sun Kick.

How do you get windwalker monk I just started
KING OF BABYLON on the character creation screen select a race that allows the use of the monk. You’ll then have access to all 3 monk specs.
