- My name is Tanya Fiona and you are watching my RUclips channel The Other script.
So, in Ukraine, in Kyiv, we don't have electricity for certain hours every day. Sometimes it's 3 hours, sometimes it's 10. One day, I was without electricity for 16 hours. I have an electric oven and an electric car. So, for me, it's complicated to organize my life, but I'm still trying. I would like to share my experience of having an electric car in Kyiv and how I managed everything, and also share this video.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch.

Ok yeti
Thanks for the update. I always like to know you are OK. I hope they get your electricity restored soon. Слава Україні!

I can’t wait to see another video from this great channel!!!!!!!! My wife always says that you are a super model ! I agree with her ❤
Wow, thank you!😁😁😁 Just posted a new video
Interesting to get some insight into what it's like to have an EV in Kiev! I drive an electric car myself; love it! 💙💛
I even heard that in Europe it’s more complicated to charge the car 🚗 glad you liked my video
@@Tanyafiona Personally, I have my own home charger (AC), where I charge at a low cost!
If I need to drive a long distance, I might have to make a stop to charge, then at a supercharger (DS) to charge quickly, while drinking coffee/having lunch or something, before continuing the trip.
And what will you do once you have insight
I had an electric vehicle for a little while, but got rid of it pretty quickly. Here in Minnesota in the winters six months could be pretty unbearable driving an electric car. Wet, heavy snow takes more electricity and when a super cold, it’s hard to get them going without taking the battery down quickly! A Honda hybrid works much better for me! here’s a little trick. I always carried along a 2200 Honda generator and some extra fuel. I use a camping now, but it was a good back up in Winter along long trips
Thank you for making the video
Glad you liked it. Thank you for watching:)
Hi Tanya hope its sorted by winter ,take care stay safe💙💛
Thank you 🇺🇦 will try
thank you Tanya ❤💙💛❤🩹
Thank you for watching 🇺🇦
I love the open sincerity of how you communicate. It is not like any kind of showmanship but just the real you (or so it seems). I also drive an electric car, in the United States. It is my second electric car, actually. I used to live in Florida and used it to power my house when electricity went out due to hurricanes. In any case, I am sure you discovered you can charge your other electronic devices in your car. By the way, have you ever noticed that your profile pictures looks a lot like the Little Mermaid? Sorry.. for reason, I can't help but notice that. Pretty, of course...
Hi Tanya. Thank you for this report and for your energy ! Glad to support your channel !
Thank you so much 🇺🇦
Hahaha I liked the noise of the generator you made.
😁😁😁
Great video, I have always wondered how do people manage if they drive an EV. Hopefully everything will get better soon on the energy front. Watching yours and others videos from Ukraine has made me so appreciative of what I have here in the states.🇺🇸❤️🇺🇦
Thank you for watching and supporting 🇺🇦 Your country is great 🇺🇸
I’m looking forward to making an interview video with you while I’m in Kyiv later this month.
Let’s discuss:)
Все зрозумів. 😮
І це прекрасно 😅
Чудово :)
Great info! Now imagine living on a farm, having your own food, solar system, home batteries and EV truck(s). That would be great for the times like these😊
And no russia nearby 😄
Hi tanya. I often ride an electric vehicles when I use rideshare, and when you have a fully electric vehicle and you want to accelerate, there's no gear shifting. I got to ride on the highway a couple times in one of those cars. Thanks for sharing these updates. Hopefully the electricity situation will get better with time.

Heroyam Slava!!
Smert vorogam!!!)
Slava Ukraine!
Because of strange government rule changes in New Zealand it's now cheaper to drive a Hybrid than a full EV. I always enjoy your videos.
Thank you
Why cheaper?
@Tanyafiona They put per kilometer road charges on electric cars here. When you add the price of the per kilometer charge and the electricity it costs more than driving a hybrid. The hybrid currently only pays tax on the fuel but often uses very little. Myself I just have a normal car but have a personal project to convert an old car to electric power. Not to save money just to do something useful. Unfortunately, it was an expensive thing to do. But it was fun.

That’s the problem with having an unreliable, source of power or infrastructure. And remember, the cars don’t go far.
putin is to blame
Hello Tanya, lovely seeing you again and despite the hardships encountered by you and other Ukerianians, you appear to be very much in the frame of mind that nothing will stop you achieving your goals. Bravo. I too have an EV. Charging in my home in the UK is easy as I have a private industrial charger but France is a problem as I have to use public chargers as my property as my apartment is on the 8th floor with no public access to electricity. I use BP Pulse for all my charging and I get 700km from a 100% charge.i like Toyotas but I would give you one guess why I wouldn't buy a Tesla . Thank you for your expert demonstration of your car. It is really lovely and suits your elegant persona.. Take care, stay safe and happy. With love and best wishes to you and your loved ones and all our brothers and sisters in Ukeriane. Allan x. Slava Ukraini 🤞🇺🇦🫶🕊️
9:47 Good for you too that you were very lucky that your used car turned out to be trouble free, not a lemon, when you knew nothing about cars and the seller just said to you "its a good car" and all you did was say "ok, thank you." Usually you need to inspect it, take a test drive, plug in a diagnostic tool to check if any findings come up, order an accident report. Its a common problem of sellers lying about the conditions of the cars they sell.
Solar Power an Photovoltaik is the burner. With Solar Panels, you can make your own electricity and store it at lithium batteries. If the grid is turned off, you have still all working.
Your video is pure advertising for electric cars. I can see you love this driving.
Thanks for the info!🇺🇦
Nice car Tanya. I live in a rural area in Florida so I’ll have to be practical and stick with my Silverado truck.
Petrol?)
Oh yeah and gas is currently costing $3.34 a gallon. So there’s that. Haha
The annoying noise, you can call it "the humming noise" of the generators, like the humming noise of air conditioners running in the summer. They really can make you feel sick.
Generators are sounded way worse ))
@@Tanyafiona yes
Hi Tanya,
I also have a white car and had got some shit from birds on the bonnet a period of time
a few months ago and that's why I have choosen an another way to go to work at mornings.. 🤣
Anyway the video was very informative, thank you! ;)
I feel so bad for Ukraine. Why? My company specializes in large sized Power Generators OEM Brands made thru JV's with China. But the Ukraine Gov't will not buy or place tenders cause their focus is on military munitions, armaments and supplies. This makes total sense. But these Diesel or NatGas Generators could be a benefit in so many ways...🇺🇦💪👍
Soldiers get a sallary and they buy generators, Ecoflows and other small gear. Not very efficient way.
Power shortages will last over a year, so I would recommend to buy a decent size diesel generator and build an insulated shed on the yard for it. Coupled with few ecoflows. Share electricity with other residents.
Thanks for the senseless info. I make burgers and they don’t buy them

Offer financing.
I was impressed how creative you are when charging your EV. It's usually tough for EV owners to charge their EVs when they live in apartments. What model and make is your EV? Is it a Chinese brand?
I think she said her car is a Toyota. I don't think she said the model. I think she said she got it last year. I think Toyotas are mostly made in Japan, I know some are assembled in other places.
Yes Toyota CHR I just forgot to mention this
Yes I just forgot 😁 Toyota CHR electric
For a person who loves to dance in the rain, is it safe to charge in the rain?
Yes why now? I do
Something you may not know.. 75% charge is really good for your battery. Charging higher than 80 percent is hard on the battery. Ok sometimes. So all the cars charging to 75 in Kyiv will have better condition batteries. :)
Yes I know that. The stations are charging till 75%. I heard the same about iPhone. But with this electricity problems I think I don’t have much choice)
@Tanyafiona Oh ok I was trying to cheer you up to find something positive about it.
Was wondering too if all charging stations are like that, just one terminal on the side of an apartment building. Do they have charging stations that look like gas stations where they have many terminals and a there is a stand alone store where people can go buy some food and drinks and things for cars? I'm sorry if I'm asking too many difficult questions.
I wonder if you can draw on the electricity from your car if the power fails and you need it in your apartment? Just curious 🤔
I don’t know how to do it?) and why I needed
Important that the car is charged. In the flat sooner or later I’ll have electricity:)
The accelerator pedal is still called the "gas"? Is it risky that the car accelerates quickly? In parallel parking, you want to move just a little forward or backward, can you easily overdo it and hit the car next to you? I got a lot to learn.😩
I like you tanya❤
So does everyone else here, so get in line 😆
😁✨
I drive a 2013 Toyota Matrix. On a full tank I can travel 386 km in city traffic. I'm curious to know how far you can go on a full charge.
I drive maximum 200km
I don’t like to have 0 even less the 20% I Lenny like to drive
I don’t like to drive*

How do you charge an EV where, electricity is only available for small time period?
must be nice
😁
Coming soon. 🐐I hope their owners will allow you play with them
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😁
You can't go too wrong with Toyota.
Agree 👍🏻
You could buy for price that Toyota a car with much bigger range,Toyota is relibe but their EV suck.
We in Serbia had same problem ,NATO targeted high voltage transformers so we also had everyday periods off when we had electricity and when we did not have ,also during night they did not turn on street lights so it was kind off weird walking town in dark
I don’t know much about cars. This one is fine for me 😁
If you had a gasoline car, about how much would you be paying per month in gasoline? Inquiring minds want to know🤓
I don’t know how to count
I drive every day 5-10km
Some days 40-60 depends on the schedule
Greetings to you Capital of Freedom and Invincible Ukraine. Thank you for the introduction to EVs. Compared to us in NYC, I see Kyiv is leading the charge in this technology. I've never seen a charging station here. You are what we call here a technologically advanced babe! ❤👱🔑
Which type is your electric car? Which country make it?
I have Toyota CHR
@@TanyafionaIt's Japanese car, I don't have knowledge about electric cars, but ordinary Japanese cars parts are expensive.
Electric car + 2 hours a day without power should equal 24/7 power for the house.
I don’t understand 😄
I apologize. I get a little emotional over this
Why ?
@@Tanyafiona I made some pretty harsh words about Russia and my comment was removed. I thought that maybe I offended you. If so I'm sorry. It is difficult for us all
I noticed that your car and phone show time in 24 hour mode instead of AM PM as we do in America. The average American would not be able to read 24 hour time.
Ahahahah cool
maybe they allow 75% max charge to ration electricity
Not sure 🤔
I don't think you will be interested, but to not have to worry about washing your hair during times of the blackouts, you can always shave your head. You will look like a nice baby.👶
hello princess
Hi 👋🏻
🇺🇦👍💐☹️
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Your car is automatic or manual?
Automatic :)
@@Tanyafiona My driving license to drive bus, and truck, but I would be afraid to drive your car. I never drived electric car, how about engine sound? You can't hear engine.
Your friend who has a Tesla, I'm thinking she must have bought it before the war. As Elon Musk is a Putin cheerleader, I don't think Ukrainians are interested in buying his Teslas now. I would also never buy one for that reason.
Yes before the war.
But not sure about if Ukrainians are buying teslas now or not

The lifestyle in Kyiv is now one of the most noise in the world with thousands of small generators running. Get out there!😮
Get out of there or go crazy!
Not the worst what can happen
I am again in Germany, i feel bad, i feel like zombie, i really dont like here. If i can live and work in Ukraine i would never come here. I wish find and buy village house in Ukraine but now they are more expensive. And i am foreigner. What i should do, where i should go....
You are free and do what you feel like. No one else knows better than you
@@Tanyafiona Problem is I do not have life plan, going to Ukraine is danger, many young people died... I wish go to Ukraine but I am afraid, even if someone give me his home for free
How about to check Romania, Slovakia or Czechia? Those places are inexpensive too and generally safe.
@@obajer There are no bottles and they are in European Union. I need place outside of European Union
Don't be sad Tanya, Vova is coming to replace back EU street by THRUTH and turn on electricity.
