Stay safe. I did what you are doing now, in Syria back in 2013. Death can really come out of nowhere. Your 'fixers' are the most important people in your life now for keeping you as safe as possible. Don't put too much faith in the 'Press' label on your jacket, it can actually make you more of a target when you are on the front line. The other thing I learnt is that the enemy can pick up on any satellite comms devices you might have and use that signal for targeting, so if you do, only turn Sat devices on when you really need to, and away from front line.
I wonder why the Russians have left the city center and government buildings untouched. Certainly, they could level them if they wanted to. It appears to me that The Russian Federation is still trying to avoid totally leveling the cities and minimize civilian causalities. As an American, our military doctrine is shock and awe. We gain air superiority first, take out anything that would challenge that, then we hit and destroy major infrastructure. Finally, after our opposition has been sufficiently weakened, we move in troops and armor.
The Russians have never gained total air superiority over Ukraine. They moved in troops and armor without perfect cover. I assume they thought they could just roll in and take over as they did in Crimea. I guess that's what their intelligence told them. I wonder why they didn't modify their strategy when their intelligence was proven wrong. Why have they not gained total air superiority? Why send in troops and armor when you have no close air support. It seems suicidal. Why does Ukraine still have any aircraft at all? Why have the Russians not cut off their supply routes and rail?
Strictly from a military standpoint, Russia's battle plan looks foolish and reckless.

@@IndigoTraveller Putin needs to be either removed from office, overthrown, or Assassinated. I have Russian heritage, but I hate Russia right now. The only thing I like about them is the culture. I am not sure if he will be assassinated, but due to his own people angry at him, I do think there will be some sort of overthrowing.

I have watched your videos about difficult situations in other countries before. And I never thought that a war could go to my country 🇺🇦
I was in occupation under the Russian army for about 40 days past the border with Belarus and every day I thought that this was my last day. They killed a lot of civilians without any reason. My family and I survived only because we always hid.
Thank you for showing this, people should know what can happen to their peaceful life in their countries if the evil is not prevented.

I live in a little market town in East Northamptonshire in the UK and we have Ukrainian flags flying. We stand with the Ukraine. We respect her peoples, Language and culture. Ukraine dose not just exist in my world atlas, but in my heart. God bless the Ukraine. I will not rest until we see the last Russian tank back across its own border.
I too support the current thing. In regards to your last sentence the reality is you will not be getting any rest. I'm not making judgement here, its the reality. Hopefully peace will prevail for the civilians there but it won't go back to how it was.

The oligarchs on both sides profit from this war.
The Western oligarchs are profiting (via their large stakes in the defense companies), while the ones in Russia have their assets overseas and can consolidate more control by buying up cheap Russian/Ukrainian assets after the devaluation from the war.
⭐️⭐️The oligarchs have pushed both sides into war, and profit immensely from this.

For your information, my heart breaks for people in countries where there is war, conflict, natural disasters and other things they cannot control. My heart breaks for a lot of people in lots of sad situations around the world. You don't need to know this, but my husband's cousin's husband is from Bosnia. He escaped the war there and became a refugee here in Norway years ago. He has PTSD and struggles with the memories and my heart breaks for him. My 4 boys have become good friends with a boy from Syria (he lives in our neighborhood). He and his family escaped Syria and are refugees here. My heart breaks for them. They have many family members still left in Syria. So please don't tell me who my heart should break for when you don't even know me. Hope you have a great day.

@@konstantinsitnikov9817 Most civilians in Donbas die by mine explosion. Ukraine lost more than 4.000 soldiers there in 7 years and so did the rebels. Meanwhile in just two weeks that many civilians died by Russian hands in Ukraine. Donbas is like a mini Syria except the Russians are supporting the rebels (they just choose the side which is the most profitable). The separatists are backed by Russia so the war in Donbas is just another failed attempt by Russia to capture more territory for their oligarchs. And stop pointing your finger at Azov which was a group that alive was smaller than 10% of all the combined soldiers that DIED in Donbas and made up 0,1% of the Ukrainian army. Many citizens of Mariupol were happy to be liberated by them.

Oh Nick, watching this breaks my heart for these people- thank you for bringing us the frontlines of the war, but please be safe! And if by any chance you're still there tell those people how much we love them, are cheering them on and how badass we think they are! Ever wondered where evil comes from, those who question the God Sal Rizvi comments about? If God is all powerful and all loving, why would He allow all this misery? Well... Maybe because there is a dark side to this world that God is ALLOWING to unfold so that we can see the bad and choose the good. After all we aren’t robots and God allows us to make our own choices. If he would have to stop all the evil in this world in the blink of an eye, many people would perish too for they will just die in an instant: for they choose darkness and evil. But God loves those people too, He wants to save them too.
I pray for the Ukrainian and the Russian people. And, we have a promise:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” ~Jesus (John 14:27)
There is hope, it is found in God, in His Word. God bless all who read and hear.

It’s more like people have their own will regardless and god is a device we use to explain things. But also a device used to justify actions which is where I get tired of this thought process. The real reason good or evil comes out of people is within the person themselves - not some imaginary man floating in the sky or even less believable is a man under the ground in a fire pit making you do bad things 😂 you did it all yourself. at least with Buddhism you look inward trying to fix yourself which is all you really can do. The Bible teaches that we all have choices to make, like I was saying; we’re NOT robots. Exactly my point; we make our own decisions. There is a good influence given us by examples, (the Bible being the ultimate guide) and the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth. Then there is the bad influence (which by the way does not live underneath in a pit etc, who told you that, where is that based on?) by the devil and his fallen angels who want to lead us into sin. Now, the choice is still ours, it is always our own choice and decision to sin. My responsibility. I am to blaim. I need and can make things right.
It is my sin, that caused the death of the Son of God. But thankfully, he paid for these same sins. And one day, the ones who believe and remain in Him, may go HOME.

@@IndigoTraveller so it was calm n peaceful? In the middle of war? Do you have any footage of actual fighting? I watched the Iraq war and you could see actual fighting footage but not this war. I've yet to see any sort of fighting. We have entire cities in the US that look like war but they're just abandoned buildings. Do you have any sound recordings of actual fighting?
