Fantastic video! During my school trip in 2017, I traveled by this train from Przemyśl to Lviv and in return. But on that time I traveled in second class. Still, this train amazed me. Hey there, друже (my friend in Ukrainian). I got a lot of joy, seeing your reactions to our different kinds of trains. For your info, previously, our rail network UZ was completely neglected and only recently (starting from 2020) politicians decided to initiate something really serious to develop our rail networks. There going to be the purchase of 30 new high speed trains, a lot of modern coaches and the upgrade of rail construction and infrastructure of the stations. Hope that you will make a new full scale review of Ukrainian new trains in maybe 5 or 6 years, and our rail network will impress you much more (positively). Elektrychkas are a total shame of our country and don’t even know if I should watch your review to them. I will be ashamed AF. But thank you very much for your honest opinion and feedback concerning our rail network. Hope we (Ukrainians) do not look and will not look like savages in the eyes of Western people. Greetings from Poltava (Central Ukraine) 😊😇
Great video. I do love how you are friends with your "competitors" and promote each others videos. I can't wait for the Chernobyl video. From the previews, it looks like it's fantastic.
@@peterwilson9699Not that NATO destroyed anything there. Without the Russian invasion there wouldn't be any war in Ukraine. First Crimea, then Luhansk and Donetsk. Maybe they should give up anything without questioning, and just live under Russian occupation - that wouldn't be warmongering, according to even the dumbest people's standards.
Thank you, nonstop eurotrip! So, two parts: your video and the trip itself. Your video is, as always, wonderful. I really like your way of filming and presenting stations and everything in fact. On the other hand, it's very difficult, for a country I don't know like Ukraine, to get an idea of the trip you took. So several things. First, the station. It's a huge inconvenience for me when there is no lift in a station: it's true, what an idea, with all the luggage and all the health concerns that people may have, heart, respiratory or others, than to put a lift? The elevator is a fundamental point in a station, just like the presence of a fast food chain that I love. I also like the interconnection between train and metro, RER, tramway etc etc. Afterwards, the landscapes that you showed me do not move me at all. I'm not sure what to think of the seats you took. I think the locomotive is much more beautiful than the wagons it carries or the wagon you sat in. I find that the locomotive is very beautiful, 21st century, while the interior dates from the 1970s, well, much older. Finally, I have a mixed opinion on your trip, what. Otherwise, you always film very well and you delight me a lot. A huge thank you to you, nonstop eurotrip. By the way, did you sleep well at the hotel? And Superlabs didn't show up on the train?
What a lovely comment Louis! Superalbs was there with me the whole time ☺️ It's a very different train culture, so I was surprised they were so similar, like a multiple unit. And yes you're right there wasn't much to see en route. See ya! 🇺🇦
15:04 eh... UZ said they made 113 millions of grivna of pure profit last year. But not like that's something nice thing to happen, if they have it - they didn't spend it on something like track repairs

Good looking train. Much more comfortable than the new Hitachi units we have in the UK. With upright seats hard as wood. But will the railway be damaged if the Russians invade
@@NonstopEurotrip Well. 3 weeks on and unfortunately sadly I was proved right. I could see this coming. A useful point is the 5ft gauge is counter to what Ukraine needed, European gauge would be better as it stops Russian trains using the lines and better ables the Ukrainians to supply direct from Europe. Railways were originally designed in Europe with Military supply in mind. and you will find most of the main routes were built with that in mind. Britain's narrower loading gauge really gets shown up on international trains like this with the additional space and comfort on offer. If only they'd listened to Brunel.. Onboard Café looked well stocked.. Lviv looks stunning.
But the 1435mm gauge is standard in most of Europe and the one in former Soviet countries is just 1520mm so not massively more. Yet they are able to put 5 seats next to each other. I guess it’s more to do with horizontal clearances.
US citizen here. I've been looking to travel to Ukraine now. After looking at all the train options do you think it's better to take the 19 hour over night train from Poland to Kyiv or go from Poland to Lviv then catch this high speed line. I really like the look of first class and and being able to walk between the cars. Great video.
Lovely video. I am trying to book ticket for this intercity flagship train from Lyiv to Kyiv too but not able to. Even the website you recommended is not helpful. How do i make sure i am booking tickets for me and my family on this particular train? Please help
@@NonstopEurotrip Oh ok. I will check it out. I do have one more question please. I am in Uzhhorod but driving to Lyiv from Uzhhorod only because I am severely claustrophobic and the sleeper train cabins from Uzhhorod to Kyiv are really too small. But i found this intercity Plus to be more spacious looking (even though its seats) Is that right? So I am planning to drive to Lyiv and from there this train to Kyiv. But one more question there is no tunnel on the way from Lyiv to Kyiv right? Thanks for your help
Nice development. When I was there the fast day train from Lviv to Kyiv was locomotive hauled, but also in quite comfortable cars, and I found it good value for money.
@@NonstopEurotrip These Huyndai trains have replaced those loco-hauled trains, which have been moved to serve other routes. But you still have the old-fashioned night trains, so if you are nostalgic you can refresh your memory how it feels to travel in a squeaky old car with no air conditioning :) BTW, the fast trains are also profitable as long as they are more than 70%-full.
Surprisingly, the morning (And it continues usually until 1:25 or 1:30 PM) magazine "Espejo Público", of the Spanish channel "Antena 3", are talking about the Ukraine-Russia crisis when watching the most part of the video 23:12 Video's score: 8.2
Considering Ukraine's sitaution, it's a shame that the best trains we have are just 1-2 decades old used/upgraded trains from western European states. Greetings from Hungary
@@NonstopEurotrip And so what? Hundreds, if not thousands of old, faulty locomotives from the 60's or 70's still make up the majority of the hungarian trains. Hell, if the good old V43 series, or the M41 series didn't exist, we would still use steam locomotives.
I assume this was filmed before the war. I can understand how a big nation feels envy on a country at irs borders functioning so well - but that is no reason to attack ! I would try to use many of the ideas and take council from those doing better.
Good work, very special video to watch especially since the war is going on, what a peaceful and beautiful country Ukraine, now destroyed by the invader
Very good video and train from UZ. But at the start I notised one mistake not "Львов" - Lvov, it's russian language, now city named from 1991 like "Львів" - Lviv, this is on ukrainian. All your videos so cool, I believe when war will end, you make some videos from my country again)
Looks a fascinating country. I want to visit Chernobyl at some point just to get some perspective on the fallout of that disaster which i remember well. Another enjoyable video .Nice train and good to see traditional controls in the loo for water soap etc.
It's so sad what Putin's doing to such a lovely country. It would have been nice to see it in person. When you went through Bucha, that was especially heartbreaking, considering the massacre that happened there.
Thank you! Can you make a video about Russian or Kazakhstani trains? They also have interesting and comfortable trains like Sapsan, Lastochka(Russia) and Tulpar-Talgo(Kazakhstan). Both countries have good sleeper trains and commuter trains(Electrichka).
Looking at the schedules right now there are increased frequency westbound away from Ukraine with the risk of being targeted by Iranian Shahed 131 & 136 Kamikaze drones in the Lviv Yard area due it being used for Supply trains from there to the eastern Donbass region front.
First class with 2+2 configuration is not good. In Fernzügen sollte ausnahmslos 1+2 Bestuhlung Verwendung finden.
Bro Ukraine uses mostly russian gauge (1520mm), which is wider than the european one. So it was still spacious even in 2+2 layout. Though now Ukraine seems to be changing its railways to European gauge
You may be right. But this train is Korean, and 2+2 seats in first class are common there. If it was, for example, Siemens, they would probably make 2+1
Isn't Tarpan (Intercity+), completely manufactured in Ukraine, the flagship train now? Capable of 220 km/h but operational up to 180 km/h. When i travelled from Kyiv back to Lviv in 2018 i used it both times. Last time i used Hyundai on this route was in 2017. It's definitely newer, faster and more comfortable than Hyundai. Next time you can take Tarpan to Lviv from Kyiv, maybe its only used for evening routs.
Did you buy the postcard you send to me during that stay in Lviv? I looked the history of the city up. Nice city with a history of a lot of different cultures.
As a Korean, looks so famaliar lol Might have shared a same parts bin with our high speed trains of that time. Hope all of the nascent powertrain issues got resolved.
Unsurprisingly still very Soviet, and I think I'll wait for the politics to settle down and infrastructure for accessibility to be completed. Fabulous buildings though - and like Rahill I can't wait for your Chernobyl video. Not what I would call First Class though, more like a Second Class Plus. First should mean just that - superb service and seating - unequalled -- the best!
For Ukraine, these trains are a big step forward and level with first class offerings on say German trains, for instance! I agree though now may not be the best time to visit, I hope it settles down soon ☺️🇺🇦 Chernobyl early access on Monday 👍🏻

After looking at all the train options do you think it's better to take the 19 hour over night train from Poland to Kyiv or go from Poland to Lviv then catch this high speed line. I really like the look of first class and and being able to walk between the cars. Great video.
Definitely best not to go right now.
Thank you for interesting video
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Lovely video. I am trying to book ticket for this intercity flagship train from Lyiv to Kyiv too but not able to. Even the website you recommended is not helpful. How do i make sure i am booking tickets for me and my family on this particular train? Please help
These are only bookable through Ukrainian railways currently
Absolutely yes, I believe they do still run a fast loco hauled day service too 🇺🇦
@@NonstopEurotrip These Huyndai trains have replaced those loco-hauled trains, which have been moved to serve other routes. But you still have the old-fashioned night trains, so if you are nostalgic you can refresh your memory how it feels to travel in a squeaky old car with no air conditioning :)
BTW, the fast trains are also profitable as long as they are more than 70%-full.
No seats in cafe?
Surprisingly, the morning (And it continues usually until 1:25 or 1:30 PM) magazine "Espejo Público", of the Spanish channel "Antena 3", are talking about the Ukraine-Russia crisis when watching the most part of the video
23:12 Video's score: 8.2
Thanks Pedro! And I hope Russia just back off! 🇺🇦
I hope this was traveling was done before all the unrest in that country. Please, please be careful.
Of course, I spent 6 weeks in Ukraine with my friend last summer 🇺🇦
Considering Ukraine's sitaution, it's a shame that the best trains we have are just 1-2 decades old used/upgraded trains from western European states.
Greetings from Hungary
You have new Stadler KISS sets ☺️
@@NonstopEurotrip And so what? Hundreds, if not thousands of old, faulty locomotives from the 60's or 70's still make up the majority of the hungarian trains. Hell, if the good old V43 series, or the M41 series didn't exist, we would still use steam locomotives.
@@NonstopEurotrip take a look at this: ruclips.net/video/9kXD6T1RuKM/видео.html This is a fairly common occurence
@@mastermindd now that WOULD be fun 😅
@@NonstopEurotrip Well, some 424s are still operational, so you can never know... 😏
yes great ride...i will go!!
Maybe not right now!
I assume this was filmed before the war. I can understand how a big nation feels envy on a country at irs borders functioning so well - but that is no reason to attack ! I would try to use many of the ideas and take council from those doing better.
Yes, and I can't wait to go back!
Good work, very special video to watch especially since the war is going on, what a peaceful and beautiful country Ukraine, now destroyed by the invader
Couldn't agree more. And I'd urge everyone to visit when it's possible again, amazing country 🇺🇦
Thanks to refer to the excellent channel of Superalb, but sadly he has been posting much less recently
Don't worry, he will be back soon! 🥰
Really interesting 👌
Thanks 👍🏻
Very good video and train from UZ. But at the start I notised one mistake not "Львов" - Lvov, it's russian language, now city named from 1991 like "Львів" - Lviv, this is on ukrainian. All your videos so cool, I believe when war will end, you make some videos from my country again)
My apologies 😟
Is this an IC train?
Intercity Plus
Why are the seat that way on the other side of train 😳
They just are Jill 🤷🏻♂️😂
Looks a fascinating country. I want to visit Chernobyl at some point just to get some perspective on the fallout of that disaster which i remember well. Another enjoyable video .Nice train and good to see traditional controls in the loo for water soap etc.
Absolutely is! Chernobyl was honestly one of my most memorable experiences ever 😃
Small notice: not Львов, but Львів.
🙈🙈🙈
It's so sad what Putin's doing to such a lovely country. It would have been nice to see it in person. When you went through Bucha, that was especially heartbreaking, considering the massacre that happened there.
Absolutely 🥺
Nice train
Absolutely is 😊
Thank you! Can you make a video about Russian or Kazakhstani trains? They also have interesting and comfortable trains like Sapsan, Lastochka(Russia) and Tulpar-Talgo(Kazakhstan). Both countries have good sleeper trains and commuter trains(Electrichka).
When we're allowed back in!!!
Looking at the schedules right now there are increased frequency westbound away from Ukraine with the risk of being targeted by Iranian Shahed 131 & 136 Kamikaze drones in the Lviv Yard area due it being used for Supply trains from there to the eastern Donbass region front.
I hope not!
I really hope to visit Ukraine some day ... Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
✌🏻✌🏻😀😀
First class with 2+2 configuration is not good. In Fernzügen sollte ausnahmslos 1+2 Bestuhlung Verwendung finden.
The trains are so wide, it doesn't matter.
If it was, for example, Siemens, they would probably make 2+1
14:13 nightmare material
😂😂😂
Isn't Tarpan (Intercity+), completely manufactured in Ukraine, the flagship train now? Capable of 220 km/h but operational up to 180 km/h. When i travelled from Kyiv back to Lviv in 2018 i used it both times. Last time i used Hyundai on this route was in 2017. It's definitely newer, faster and more comfortable than Hyundai. Next time you can take Tarpan to Lviv from Kyiv, maybe its only used for evening routs.
When we were there, the 2 Tarpan sets were running Kyiv-Odessa, so we did that instead! Max 160kmh. Also sold as normal Intercity, not plus 🤷🏻♂️🇺🇦👍🏻
@@NonstopEurotrip Fair enough, haven't travel with Ukrainian flagship training for almost 5 years now :).
Did you buy the postcard you send to me during that stay in Lviv? I looked the history of the city up. Nice city with a history of a lot of different cultures.
I did 😁

As a Korean, looks so famaliar lol Might have shared a same parts bin with our high speed trains of that time. Hope all of the nascent powertrain issues got resolved.
Probably 😋
I can not get over the price
This is expensive for Ukraine!
I hope you will be able to film trips from Russia soon!
Me too!!
Yeah with the prices you see definitely that’s the poorest country in Europe
From my experience travelling there, Georgia and Armenia seem poorer...
On my opinion Tarpan looks better -w-
I agree!
