“You are one of the most realistic, solid, well adjusted people I know, here have a tranquilizer.” Lol 😂
Irony is a cornerstone of comedy.
And,a drink..then a cigarette..lol.. they sure were chill back then..
Now it's "harmless" weed.@@Dani-ICU-RN
No one could pull a face of disgust like Agnes Moorhead. She threw shade like a champ.
She was an outstanding actress.. I saw her in Bette Davies film a few nights ago. Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte and Agnes outclassed the other actors /actresses totally
They we’re all great but Agnes had the edge, A big one. Sheer nostalgia.
This scene always gets me laughing, especially Endora's remark. When the mind goes, what can anybody say? Ahh, how about 'bon voyage'?
Au rèvoir..lol.. I love how she comes home with wrapped boxes, like they really used to do
I love that also
Even Endora knows about the Salvation Army!! LOL
She probably lived in London when Henry and Catherine Booth started it in 1865.
“Why not ‘Bon Voyage?’” God I love Endora! She reminds me so much of my grandmother, who hated one of my uncles and treated him much the same way Endora treats Darrin. My grandmother was the kind of woman with family photos covering entire walls, and other walls displaying art works. Among the family pictures, if you look closely you’d always see one or two hanging just a little bit crooked. Try to right it and she’d screech “STOP! Don’t move that; it’s supposed to look that way. Those are my in-laws!”
LOL !
Sideways and out of sorts! Ha ha.
"What about 'Bon Voyage?'" perhaps one of the best lines in all of the years of Bewitched. Outstandingly funny, and delivered brilliantly.
What about bon voyage?
😂😂😂 Endora is a riot!
The face on Mrs. Stephens was priceless! I Loved it!
Mrs. Stevens is shooketh
@@tmmaston that's funny. She definitely needed her sherry!
Can we just appreciate how much work the crew had to go through to do that scene? The entire set had to be redressed, and Liz and Agnes had to hit exactly the same poses several times (Liz had it down to a science by this time) to pull this off. What a load of work!
I always loved bewitched
I would venture to think Liz and Agnes ran through this scene (at least) twice, the first time in the usual living room decor and the second time in the grand decor, using the same arm gestures for both runs so they could be later be edited together. Still a masterful piece of work, but I can't imagine they redressed the set at each pop.
@@thatjpwing No no. Of course they didn't redress at every pop. But the ability that they honed in order to hit their marks so perfectly with perhaps days between is remarkable.
I always think about that too.
Mable Anderson was hysterical. They needed a foil for Endora
Mabel Albert son a hoot
*Mable Albertson
In a different episode with both Mabel and Agnes, Endora says "next time I go to Monte Carlo, I think I'll take her with me.....maybe I can lose her." Pure gold!
"Here,have a tranquilizer"!!The good old days..
Yeah that's so funny she kept saying that have a tranquilizer.. boy now when I think of tranquilizers I think of a tranquilizers gun that can take down an elephant
@@georgeplagianos6487 ...I know!I think of the same thing, dart to the as*!
So true!
@@JohnLee-pt5jz She also could have taken Miles Nervine.
That's the 60's😂😂😂
I love how Samantha & endora start changing the furniture back & forth & they don't see Darrin's mother standing at the front door watching them
Well, that could happen when you just walk in without knocking.
😂
Damn right! She's lucky he didn't find his son boning his wife on the coffee table.

Oh that would have given her another of her “sick headaches.”
@@joebauers4224 Exactly 💯!
Bon Voyage. . . Endora was enjoying herself in that moment.
I love Endora's fancy style! The house never looked more beautiful! 😁🥰💗🏡
Nobody can say Mother like Samantha
No one in this world can do bewitched than the original cast no one ❤❤❤❤
I was very sadden when I learned about the cast on bewitched I felt very sad I love those actors I still look at it in u tube you really don't get fed up of it❤💚💜💚🤟✌❤
That Louis XIV furniture made that drab livingroom pop!!
Endora, with her unparalleled grand style and flair, conjures up a lavish decorative make-over that gets a new type of ping-pong going, sending a solid, middle-class mortal sliding to the floor and into questioning her sanity. Brilliant!
"Frank, I have a sick headache."
Oh those sick headaches!
Mrs. Stephens And Her Sick Headaches,LOL!!! 😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@dianetheisen8664 Actually, now that I think about it, it's more like, "Fra-a-ank, I have a sick headache."
@@PatrickTheWriter YES! I can hear her now. Groan.
For me i can hear the bird saying it
That pantsuit!!!
At 1:43, Agnes, face was priceless when darin's, mom passed out was was perfect.
Endora liked that gaudy decor looked like Liberace's estate sale😂😂😂
Exactly. Something in between would've been nicer
Gaudy is right. I liked Samantha's taste. Also another contradiction the writers overlooked. Endora placed her furniture there so how can Samantha undo it? Only the conjuring witch can remove the spell
@@markwhitman9029 No spell was involved.
Samantha's green pantsuit is everything!
Someone needs to tell Samantha, Darrin, Tony, and Jeannie to always close their doors. And lock them.
I lived in a rural area & one day a city guy came to visit. He was utterly shocked that we could go out & leave our doors unlocked. Then I made a dumb decision to move to a city.I hated it!And one of the things I was told, was "Don't wear your jewellery & have it on display!"I now live in an area blessed with lots of trees & open spaces, but the many of the people are loud & have noisy outdoor parties & drop litter around the area & allow toys to be left outside for days.Wish I could turn back the clock to a happier time.
They were trying to portray an innocent America when in fact that was about the time it was all going bad
No one locked their doors in upper middle class suburbs in the 60s
But they should if the wife is a witch or a genie and they’re trying to keep it a secret.
“The Salvation Army wouldn’t even send a truck out for it”. 🤣🤣
The Salvation Army wouldn’t even send a truck out for it! Lol

Poor Mrs. Stephens
Mabel Albertson was awesome. I remember her in "What's Up Doc?", she was hilarious.

Mrs. Stevens always catching it😂😂

"Bon voyage" LOL!
Elizabeth Montgomery was the most beautiful and talented actress on television
Shut up

HERE'S YOUR TRANQUILIZERS.

No wonder Darrin was such an insecure, neurotic, mama's boy. The apple does not fall far from the tree. Endora was magnificent as usual.
"When the mind starts to go" .. "bon voyage"😂 from Endorra what a comment
It's a sitcom....... it's not real.
@@Consrignrant seriously?!? You mean we CAN’T snap our fingers and change our surroundings?

@@jeffharder8706 Wonderful comment. Lol
My mother always said they should have told Darrin's mother about her being a witch!
Agreed !
They tried they in one episode and she lost her powers when she tried showing her father in law
When you find yourself on the horns of a dilemma, between truth and falsehood, truth should be the path to take. But this sitcom would have lost some of its humor had the writers chosen to have done so.
I remember watching this as a New Episode as a 11yr old kid.....it was Advertised as "Samantha's Secret Discovered"
Interesting title but what it comes down to is that Samantha & Endora's secret are witnessed by Darrin's mother but dismiss is it because of her age.. so her secret still Remains safe. That's pretty much of a long title.
😭 that would be a very different episode now!
Mrs Stephens, you're one of the most well adjusted people I know...here take a tranquilizer...how can she say that with a straight face! Her mother-in-law drove herself to Sam's house and she carries tranquilizers in her purse just in case she needs one (imagine the accidents these people would be in!).
I like Endora's style. I would have kept it furnished her way! It's exquisite!
I might keep the chandelier and put it over the dining table. The rest looks overdone to me, I like the regular living room set better.
I bet Endora wore her gold slippers, ... with real fluff, and feathers, even to walk ... to her mailbox outside! ....💓💕👍
@@shermanlee4037 Me too. For that time period, it looked very modern and well decorated.
Maybe if you're a Kardashian or Liberace😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like Endora’s fashion sense. Her interior design is a bit gaudy for me.
Darrin's mom was such a snob. I don't think she ever really accepted Sam.
As for Endora, deep down she was okay with Darrin.
I know Samantha still calling her mrs. Stephen's always thought was weird.. it's her mother-in-law. My family either use the first name or call them mother or Ma not their surname.
i feel she's a snob too, considering Samantha us such a perfect daughter in law. what more could she ask for?
Oh my God. I love this part and never get tired of watching it😅😅😅 2:55
I agree with Sam. I kind of like the set they used for the living room, it looks neat and uncluttered and comfortable. A lot of the shows from that time had appealing domestic sets.

Endora 🤣
She's hilarious
Mrs. Stephans lol
How did Samantha change her furniture back to normal after Endora's magical remodel? I thought a witch couldn't undo another witch's spell.
I got to admit Samantha did get a little help she called "Got Junk" and these big muscled guys removed everything up that belonged to Endora..lol
Maybe using a loophole, she didn't reverse the spell, just got rid of Endora's suite and put a new one of her own in, Endora did the same.
@@DieyoungDiefast The millennials can't work this out lol it's not rocket science
Spells involving people and animals can’t be undone by another witch unless they actually know the spell that was used. Spells involving inanimate objects were undone often.
I love this show
I do too, totally entertains me even when I'm 64 yrs old now. I remember this shows when I was still a young handsome man :)
This show is a trip. Poor Mrs. Stephens. I would stay away from that house if i were her. 😆!!!

Me too.. I watch it on me TV all the time
@@kaysiesimmons7135 Correction: It's on Antenna tv, Not Me-Tv.
This my ALL time favorite TV show. I have the DVD collection
Mabel Anderson is one year younger than Agnes Moorehead, born in 1901.
this scene mustve taken all day to film with the set changing back and forth several times, Yikes the magic of television
The scenes don't have to be filmed in sequence
Plus, they could have filmed a dialogue's sequence in one set, then the other parts of dialogue in a changed set, the real magic here happened in the edition room
nawonly one change.....they filmed all the scenes for regular furniture then changed it out and filmed all of them with the fancy furniture
The “bony knees” joke was borrowed from an old I Love Lucy episode. Two great shows! I miss the good old days.
I knew I’d heard that somewhere!
Well William Asher directed both shows.
He also recreated the frenetic chocolate factory conveyor belt episode when Uncle Arthur and Serena get jobs, except instead of chocolate it was frozen bananas dipped in chocolate and nuts.
I literally forgot how much bolder the color episodes were! I haven’t seen most of these episodes since I was a child. The black and white ones from the first two seasons that Nick at Night only showed were kinda boring compared to these later color seasons… with the exception of the original Gladys Kravitz of course.
The chandelier over the dining room table was a great add-on. And how did Mrs. Stephens get on the sofa?
They change the decoration of the room with a swish of their arms and you wonder how they get that small unconcious woman on the sofa.
@@kuchikopi4631 🤣
She's an awesome actress. Mabel is. Watch her in "what's up doc" And also her brother, grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka. She's a guaranteed laugh 😆!!!
Jack Albertson was also an Oscar winner for his role in The Subject was Roses ...he had scenes in that one with the brilliant and also Oscar winner Patricia Neal.....great movie
I definitely liked Endora's version of the room better.
Me too...but the room was more of an 70s look with the color prints. Most households had those big TVs, and looking at Elizabeth Montgomery's pantsuit, it was definitely indicative of the time period. I just love looking back on these.
Golden Rococo and brocades, over 70s common drab any day!
I want to like Endora… and I love her taste in furniture and fashion..

Darrin's mother didn't think Sam was as blue blooded as his ex-fiance.

Darrins ex was the daughter of the 4th richest man in the world.
She has to call her mother in law Mrs Stevens?
Darren was would pretty tight. He needed to learn how to live in the moment.
lo mejor era lo de antes para ver en television
I have had a tough day shopping
In her defense, in the 60's she would have probably had to drive all over town to get everything she was looking for as opposed to now being able to just go to Wal Mart or Target and get everything in one place lol
Or buy everything on Amazon.😁
Ah, the days when a clerk rang everything up for us and someone else carried our bags out to the car:))
I Loved Endora's GRAND STYLE!!! GRAND MA MA Was A FASHION PLATE!!! 👸💜💜💜🌠🌠🌠
I'll bet they only had to do it once. Notice Samantha has the same position at every pop.
I've never understood why in later episodes they didn't just come out with it? The show ended openly with a rerun from an old episode. They did the same thing with I dream of Jeannie. They had a dream sequence of Dr. Bellows finding out, but we were never certain it was a dream. They should have left it there.
The Witches' Counsel forbade Samantha to come out to her in laws.
@@RoverBoy1899 But "Durwood" was an exception and didn't count.
With Jeannie it originally wasn’t a dream. They were told they were getting another season so they rewrote it. Then they ended getting canceled anyway.

They were checking Bolton's and Bordens
Too cute.
