A student protest leading to the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a new interim government helmed by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, and devastating floods - Bangladesh is weathering a whirlwind of crises. And at its forefront is the student community calling for reforms.
Newslaundry hit the ground to understand the hopes of the Bangladeshi students who led the protest, the ethos of the new Bangladesh, and what all triggered the anger against Sheikh Hasina. We also spoke to student leader Nusrat Tabassum about the way ahead for the student community’s movement.
Tabassum said, “It is time for revolution.”
    Watch.

Sheikh Mujibur played very important role at 1971 independent... but then he became our first dictator...He fought for democracy but after independent he became dictator and oppressors.. And his beloved daughter Shekh Hasina changed his history... She tried to glorify him as a god...forcefully imposed things are temporary... hope you guys understand....

Sheikh Mujib created BALSAL, in which all political parties except Mujib's party was banned. Opposition leaders were arrested. Press freedom was severely curtailed, and corruption became rampant.

A girl student has said, this is time for revolution. A very positive statement. Yet there is a fundamental question:------ is there any communist revolutionary party in bangladesh? May any knowledgeable bangladesh citizen throw light on the matter?

This is not a ideological revolution. This is a revolution against one dimensional autocratic analogous system to adopt multi dimensional open system.

Communist tried to do one in 75 they failed horribly. Since then communist are merely a joke in Bangladesh. They have no connection with people whatsoever. Although they do stand with valid cause such as price hike and all that. But no, currently Islamist at helm all though they are very small percentage. BNP and Awami League are sort of liberal party.

It doesn't matter what the interim government is doing! Sheikh Hasina will come to Bangladesh soon and surely the time is not far; The people of Bangladesh will humbly accept their beloved leader & Bangladeshis will understand what they have actually lost by losing Sheikh Hasina.
Actually no one can bring her back if she comes to Bangladesh of her own will. One thing is true that, Sheikh Hasina will definitely come to Bangladesh and take control of Bangladesh again.
Remember, this interim government will one day request Sheikh Hasina to legitimize their own work. The reality will be seen soon.
