honestly you have no idea how many times I've shared things other people didn't wanna hear (apparently I have no boundaries) or didn't care about. like whenever I learn a cool fact especially about the things I'm passionate about I just wanna tell my ppl. for example a thing I like to tell people is how you know if a wasp is a yellow jacket or a paper wasp and I find it so amazing and interesting to observe and other people around me are just like "....why would I ever need to know that?"
oh and btw yellow jackets have black antennas paper wasps have yellow antennas and they fly with their legs kinda stretched so they look really creepy but the paper wasps are the nicer ones ☺️😂

The IxxP competitiveness is so true. My grandpa, who was an ISFP, taught me how to play Nine Men's Morris. He was the best at that game. But sometimes, albeit it was rare, I managed to beat him. My grandma likes to talk about how losing to me would annoy grandpa for days, but he always hid that from me.
Loved that granma, I wish my grandma is still alive, so that we cousins can play cards with her just like when we we're still little kids.

lmfao yep, as an INTP, as soon as someone strays into my bubble and then (most often accidentally) challenges me, I'm like 'I will wipe the fucking floor with you' outta nowhere and it's only in recent years I've learned to pump the damn brakes and let people do their thing without being smashed to pieces.
Also, wow yeah, now that I think about it, the EXXPs in my life are chronic oversharers indeed. Goddamn I love the insight that comes from this channel!
Secret keeping is easy for me, an ENFP, because I hold a great deal of terror towards the idea of revealing a secret. But I will admit the competition element is true for me. I _adore_ competition. Nothing spurs me on more than a person who outperforms me. Something about seeing someone else more capable than I am just solidifies that I have no excuse not to achieve the same result - which may or may not be true, but either way, it motivates me to work harder. A lot of my mindset follows a general rule of, “it’s possible, therefore I will” so when another person gives concrete proof of what is possible, they’re practically daring me to match them. (Well, that’s not how they see it, but I always take it that way.)
My poor friends in sophomore year of high school had to deal with me begging all of them for their SAT scores. I told them straight up that competition motivates me and I needed to know which ones of them scored higher than me just so that I’d be motivated to study harder for the next exam. I went super overboard and begged people to brag about their higher scores 24/7. Many of them, while very used to me by now, opted out… and I later found out that I’d scored higher than everyone in my friend group anyway, to my own dismay, since that was the opposite of what I wanted. I ended up resorting to those “I scored a 1600 because I’m smart” videos on RUclips to fuel my sense of rivalry, which worked. (Also, as an ExxP, I must declare that for all intended purposes the SAT is a well-crafted scam and I am in no way citing it as a proper measure of intelligence. There, just had to get that out.)
I seek competition, I love it. It gives me a reason to do the thing I had to finish.

I thought more along the lines of... IxTPs. I mean, IxFPs would probably just prove themselves better for the sake of themselves, and IxTPs with that Fe might be more likely to actually confront and process their value against others' externally.

Probably. I'm an IxxP and when someone is doing something better than me I do compare but typically I put the pressure on myself to compete or rationalize that I'm focussing my energy elsewhere. I try to channel it positively to ask questions and learn how they do what they do so that I can see if it's worth it for me to do it and what the benefits are etc
@@5idi as an IxTP (not shaved), i really don't like confronting people on that, but i do notice that I always get silently competitive, and i kinda thrive in it, basically "if I can prove I am better than you, without me shoving it into your face, I am victorious"

That is a Ti trait.
Te is a way more competitive function. Because Te is always checking with the tribe how they are doing compared to others. And being inferior it might be something they get pretty insecure about.
Ti on the other hand, is more about the self development, challenging oneselve and doing things for personal reasons. A Ti user could be competitive, but it would be to prove oneselve, not the tribe.
Fe would be the function Ti doms might be insecure about. So they might go into spirals of thinking people do not like them. They might do things to impress other, not with the purpose of showing them they are capable, but to be liked. They might think, people like competent people so let me show I am competent. But they won't show the competitive side on your face, because the purpose is to be liked.
Because it is inferior, their methods might not be the best. Or they could do it in a immature way, or might look to obvious. It wouldn't happen all the time. So it could be like a flip, like you think the person doesn't care much about others, and suddenly their Fe shows in a very immature way. Same would happen with Te.
The internet usually mistypes ExFPs as ExTPs because of the competitive nature of ExFPs. The example given in the video is of an ESFP. Almost any ExFP I have met has that competitive side to them, that is in your face. IxFPs can be like that too, but I think they often show it once you get to know them or they feel more secure around you. And then they show their Te and can be a bit scary (not really, but because you do not see them like that often) xD

many years ago when i was 17 i had alot going on so every monday i told all my private problems to the guy next to me in school. i thought we were friends or smth but he was just excited for new storys. at the first lunch break, everyone knew everything bc he couldn't keep a secret 😂. since we finished school we are really good friends and i know for sure now that he is an ENFP. and yeah i'm intp
as an ExxP (96% sure) I think I can contribute.
firstly, I have an ESFJ (99% sure) best friend and he loves to gossip so we're like the perfect team. I wanna know everything so I go out of my way to find things out, because you never know when something might be useful, and then as soon as I get the information I just forward it to him no matter if it's a secret or not 🙈
secondly, I overshare everything. from half of my clas being like "omg why did you have to tell us that, we didn't need to know" to me literally telling my parents and everyone around me about my morally questionable job 😅😂
thirdly, I have a IxxP brother (89% sure) and the amount of competitiveness between us....one day I even skipped school to catch up on a game he started playing before me... I've kinda grown out of it but he still has to compete at everything (mostly games we play together, but also technology, drawing, knowledge, to like who listens to better music and then who knows more songs from that garne/artist it's just basically everything 😂)

I think this mostly involves ExFPs. Because I am an ENTP, and I have never cared, and find people that do, to be quite silly.
I do have to share every single concept and idea, or thing I have been learning about. So maybe about the secrets, there might be something there but I am still quite good at keeping secrets, mainly thanks to my not so good memory, lmao. But if I know something is indeed a secret, I just don't say it. I have Ne so I can come up with plenty other to talk about.
But for the competitiveness, I think that is a Te thing, because I care little for it and I do not like people that are competitive. Friendly competitiveness, I might find them entertaining, like I might troll them and see their behaviour as absurd so it is ammunition for my banter. But, actual competitiveness, specially sore losers, no thanks.
Ti to me is like I want to challenge myself, and often I keep it to myself. For example, I heard about Dark Souls being one of the hardest games ever. So I played it, and then I started challenging myself and going for more difficult playthroughs. I go for challenge runs, such as never leveling up, fighting bosses without ever healing, etc. But then I never tell anyone. I like the challenge and it is about the accomplishment of me doign it, but not caring what others do nor do I tell them that I do.
tldr you can live in a forest inside a woodhouse, think many things and not feel the need to share it
