Touring California's central valley - Selma to Corcoran

California's central valley is a great place to go bicycle touring. I'm on a three day tour in mid-March. This third day is 50 miles from Selma to Corcoran.
I'm riding through orange groves, almond groves, vineyards, olive groves and the occasional cow farm. The roads vary from surprisingly good to horrendous. The biggest hazards are rent-a-bees and packs of farm dogs.
The area reminds me of the south of France but flatter and without the small villages. On the other hand, it has much better Mexican food.
