- If you are planning on doing any kind of rotational grazing or mob grazing of your livestock, you're going to need a way to keep your animals confined to a certain area. There are many options out there ranging from permanent paddocks to electrified netting or wires. Given our property and goals, we decided that electric netting would be the best way to go.
In this video, we unbox and install a 164' strand of Starkline electric sheep & goat netting. What's in the box? How easily does it go up? Watch to find out all of this and MORE!

I just unboxed the biggest solar charger and 2 - 164x35” sections and am only getting 2000 volts on the fence which is not enough , barely a tickle. How many volts do you have?
At full charge and without high grass, ours runs 8-10 thousand if I drive the grounding rod deep. Have you tested the voltage coming straight from the machine?
So you are using a different engerizer than the starkline one thats in the kit?
Yes. We needed the energizer to be solar, and the only solar kit I saw from Starkline on Amazon was with poultry netting. But the two different brands have been perfectly compatible.
So plz share how you like the fence or not after the first year? Im runing a goat grazing rental biz and trying to decided between Starkline and Premiere. P is just much more $ now and only 100ft
I haven't used the premiere 1 netting, but I honestly don't think there is much difference between them. The only problem I've had has been from dragging it through briars and stuff. I've broken strands, but it is pretty easy to repair for cheap (I should make a video on that! lol ). I would not hesitate to recommend the Starkline netting.
As for the charger, we went with one of the solar chargers from Premiere 1 instead of the Starkline. I can't remember if that was due to availability at the time or if I was unsure of quality. But, the Premiere 1 solar charger has worked really well, too. The only exception was when a transformer on the circuit board malfunctioned. I called customer service, and they immediately sent me a new transformer as well as another part just in case the transformer wasn't the issue. I was very pleased with their customer service.
