      Hi Jay! Here is the site that lists the minerals and the company we use.
      www.freechoiceminerals.com/20-Choice-Mineral
      I hope it helps, they also have an 8 choice mineral list but I am not familiar with it since we don’t use it.

      Hope this helps. Thanks so much. ☺️

    That is an amazing idea! I guess I missed Greg Judy's video about that.
    I've been wondering how you would handle the copper situation. Brilliant!

    Hi. Please, do they know what they want when they go for the minerals without you directing them?

    • @RenewedHomestead
      @RenewedHomestead  21 день назад

      Hi, yes they do. Animals are far smarter than we realize and they know exactly what they need. You can tell what your soil is deficient in with this system because you can see exactly what mineral they are consuming.

    Great episode guys definitely love the mineral sled 🛷 we use copper pills 💊 but man this definitely tackles all the different minerals a lot easyer than what we have bin doing we have our goats and sheep together also but we are letting the goats out giving the sheep what they need constantly separating to give them the right minerals I love this idea 💡

      @RenewedHomestead  2 года назад

      Thank you Dreamy Daze, this is so much easier. Lol I have never heard of the copper pills, that sounds a little easier. Separating them must be a pain!

    So, the animals only take what they need? I guess I still don’t understand how the sheep don’t take too much cooler.
    Thank you

      Hi Crystal, animals are far smarter then we given them credit for. They only take what they need and leave the rest. That is why we can give them free choice and keep sheep and goats together. If you watch livestock with free choice minerals like we have, you will notice they grab specific minerals. We go through a decent amount of selenium and magnesium but not a lot of copper. The goats eat way more copper then the sheep do which makes sense as they need more. Animals will only take what they need. Does that make sense?

    We have one of those too! Cows and goats, no sheep. It is amazing how certain minerals are consumed. Versus others.
    We added goat kid protection propping up the lid. Per Greg’s recommendation. It is heavy for sure

      Hi LoneGunMan X, it was a horrible way to learn, but I am glad we are all able to learn from it.
      It definitely shows what they are lacking.

    Thing is huge!!!! Over kill

      Hi Blaze Face, thanks for the comment. We use it for the cows as well. Definitely not overkill. They get what they need and leave the rest. 🙂

    I’d be worried about over and under consumption doing this

      Hi Josh, they only take what they need. It has been working really well. Thanks for the comment and the concern. 🙂

    This is so over kill and way more work than needed

    • @RenewedHomestead
      @RenewedHomestead  Год назад

      Hi Blaze Face it really isn’t. We use it for our cows as well and everyone just takes what they need. This way we can keep the sheep and goats together and we have 0 worries about copper toxicity in the sheep.
