The very best details of how to setup and use a electronet fence really was interesting. Also I've subscribed to your channel and we'll be looking at it again thank you.
Thank you. I wish you would have showed from the first pole and fence no ine ever shows that. Also I would have liked to know prices and how long it took you to put it up. Thank you. You are very nice
Thanks for the video!! I just put in an order for two 164’ electro stop fencing for my goats. I have 4 acres that I can rotate this setup on. I’d be curious to see a tutorial on building the chicken tractor and the hay trough =D
@@shellmoon70 We love the fence. We went with two deep cycle batteries. When one gets low we swap them out and recharge. Now I’ve got to build me one of those mobile units. Do you have a diy build tutorial for building a chicken tractor?
We’ve been using some of same net fence from premier 1 for close to 10 years. I’ll be making some videos to show how I make my own solar fence energizers. Premier 1 is the only fence I trust, we graze our goats in mostly city environments for weed and brush control
Cornelius eh? I thought that countryside looked familiar. I was born and raised in the Willamette Valley myself. Anyhow I have a question. Is the netting suitable for permanent fencing? It looks to me to be too flimsy to hold up to permanent use but I thought I would ask your opinion on it anyhow. Thanks for making the video it was very informative and fun to watch.
Yes you got it! It's Cornelius. This electric netting is not suitable for permanent fencing. It's only meant for sectioning off paddocks for a few days at a time to allow targeted grazing before you move to another paddock.
@@TheApprenticeFarmer thanks for the prompt reply. Yeah it looks like that's not going to work for what I had in mind. I've got permanent fencing I need for my goats.
Good video, plenty of info thanks. I never considered setting up a fence in a square in my mind it's always a circle or similar, must be because the maths is completely impossible for me lol
i know im randomly asking but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I love any help you can give me.
@Tony Fox Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
It looked like you hooked the red clamp up to the fence connector...is that correct or should the red clamp be clamped on a fence line. My poultry net does not work so trying o figure out what I am doing wrong.
Thank you for sharing. But I got concerned when you allowed your animals to touch the netting, so they thought that it’s okay to touch. I bet the poor animals were needlessly shocked several times before re-learning that the fence is NOT OKAY to touch after all. What happened when you electrified the fence?
The only way animals learn not to touch electric fence is by touching it -- explaining to them doesn't work. These animals (at least the baby lambs and chickens) were clearly not familiar with this type of fence before they were put into the enclosure, otherwise they would have already learned not to touch it, whether it was energized or not. It's also necessary to de-energize the fence when moving animals into or out of one of these enclosures, for reasons which should be obvious.

How you like the fence? Did you buy a battery or go solar?

Amazing job
Hello, thank you great video. Where do you get the mobile shelters? If you built it, is there a how to? Thank you.
Great setup clip!

About how long does the battery last?
How do you get your sheep so calm and so friendly? What type of sheep are they? How old are the ewes before you breed them? Cheers, Marco (Australia)
Spend time with them.
27sep20 1913 You make it look easy. Nice. Thank you from New Zealand.

@Tony Fox it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
@Harlem Omari Glad I could help =)
Very informative. But plz also share price and availability of this product. And Is this available in Pakistan?
Can this be used to rotate cattle?
where did you get the mobile shelters
where you get wheels for the mobile shelters.
Do you have any plans for your moveable pens
So do you reckon that sheep fence would suffice for hogs, or would they just knock it down?
How can we get this poultry netting here in Iligan City here in the Philippines?
can u point me to what battery you bought online? thanks :-)
Very nice
Can I use it for a temporary horse paddock
I'm inspired by this set up. Would like to raise a couple of lambs each year on our 1.5acres
What is the life span of the fence?
I think I'm on 3 years so far from the same supplier with a few repairs, basically from physical damage (branches falling and such).
Do they keep out deer and racoons?
For deer fences
How do you keep the chickens from jumping over
keep the wings clipped
Only clip one side of the wings
Can electric netting be used to keep groundhogs and deer out of a vegetable garden ?
Where did you get the battery
Any auto store just ask for a marine battery.
That mobile shelter would be 4 counties over around here with the wind we have had lately

Hook it to the metal tab connector, it makes a better connection than putting it on one of the strands.
Will these keep dogs out and away from our goats
They'll easily jump it

That’s the point. It’s how they learn.
Any update to this video?
How not to test the electricity made me jump😂🤣
pos/neg or just pos?
you should watch polyface farms to build your land up and rotate more
يوميات مزارع = المزارع المتدرب
You need to rotate your animals more often. They're eating dirt..
