So very sorry for the loss of your beautiful fluffy grey soul. I lost mine some time back and it was heart-wrenching. Still miss him to this day. Hopefully everyone finds peace with it. I used to have an electric sheep net that is very similar. One tip is to fold half the net before you start rolling it towards the posts. Makes it a bit easier in my opinion.

    Great tip on using one side of an already set up as a side to a new fence you are setting up.

    Aww, little grey mouser kitty😟😢 I have found that surviving the first 1-2 years as a barn cat means they will likely live a long life. Before that mark, the death/disappearance rate is unfortunately quite high...
    My cat lives wholly indoors. Even though I live in the countryside, it's a rowhouse and there was already another cat around. They fight enough through the windows. She doesn't mind indoors, she's older (14y, 12 when she moved here) and has always been at least indoor-outdoor. She's harness trained, but I've been too lazy to get her used to getting outside that way in this home😅

    Do you have problems with hawks and do the chickens fly over the fence. I would love to have this kind of fencing but I'm in Hart county Ky. and I need netting to keep out the hawks and my 6 foot tall fencing barely keeps the chickens from flying over it. Love your channel!

      Thanks for following along. We have lost a couple to hawks. Some chickens fly over but always fly back in at night

      And Kenny if you put a goose or two and with your chickens your heart problems will go away because where we live at we have hocks and Eagles and they won’t mess with a couple geese

    Hi John,
    We have pack rats and mice out here in the country. Our method of keeping them thinned out was putting out poison in bait boxes I built to keep other animals from getting into the poison. Cost of rat/mouse bait kept going up so we decided to try barn cats. Started out with three young ones. We really enjoyed having them around. We named them trouble, spike and stoner. As they got older, they would go out in the fields to hunt. One by one they started disappearing. Coyotes were getting them. Too hard to lose our cat buddies so we went back to poison.
    I had a question about the net posts. Does the netting run through the post?

    • @KCFarms
      @KCFarms  3 года назад

      We might need to try some of those bait boxes I’m pretty sure there are come rats under the duck houses.
      The posts weave in and out of the netting

    I feel like these fences are like seat belts if you can't figure it out you probably shouldn't be raising animals thanks for the tips
