Hahaha, it's all part of my 20-year plan to encourage more other racing developers to stuff Australian cars into their games, too. All credit to Turn 10 and Playground; these studios are far and away the best at it. Seriously, what other racer can you take EB Falcons and VL Commodores up against the other Group A-era cars? And what other racer has stuff like the A9X, or the VH Charger? Forza does a lot of things right but yeah, this continues to be one of the big ones for me.
So what was with the trailers showing car models from older titles? Does the released game have proper new models in their place, like the Lancer Evo VI?
Old is gold. Personally I'm just looking to get some sweet tunes on some of my favourite old cars and take em online. Although I'll have to grind that car level to upgrade for a while. Looking forward to it though. Ford Sierra cosworth etc.
@@Peer165 So you're telling me 7/10, all for games of varying quality, is not absurd? There's nothing convoluted or absurd about a 100 point scale, unless you can't do math.
A lot of people complain about how cars lack traction. Even high downforce GT cars. Also the traction loss falls off suddenly. Also Forza does count some cars twice with their "Forza Edition" cars.
Car audio is borrowed from GT2 and nowhere near the quality of Motorsport 7 let alone the engine notes of GT7 No free panning of vehicles in upgrade mode or any other non race mode Every upgrade improvement pioneered in horizon 5 is gone. No track list for championships or the weather/time of day Nothing feels streamlined and intuitive. It’s ray traced reflections are matched (in race) by a racing game that only has them in replays. Honestly the only thing this release has over GT7 is no online requirement to save. Forza Motorsport has finally tripped on its way to challenge the peak and didn’t recover
Hmm, it seemed the developers plans for the game backfired for IGN. They had been mentioned that they wanted more players to understand and get their "Love of cars" so they wanted players to focus on individual cars and what made them special as opposed to just "Colllecting all the cars" like the games previously before it, but it seems that IGN just wanted to do the same they had done for years. Interesting take.
No. The problem is that the system is extremely flawed. If you buy a toyota supra and get that car leveled and buy another one you start from level 0 again. Forza has always been about building up and tuning your cars in every different way. I´ve always had 2-3 duplicates of a car for different classes. This is gonna make multiplayer to try out different builds. They should have done something like a manufacturer level and not per car.

"What's he on about? That looks perfectly fine to me!"
😂
Is the color grading of the video off or the game looks washed out of colors?
Best IGN reviewer by some distance, cheers Luke.
8:27 😮eye candy , those reflections are amazing
The upgrade system ruins this game and kills its playability
so it's not real sim game like project cars 2 & grand tourismo 7? could you suggest me something like those on PC?
love the forza series
Midforz
Why is the graphics look much worse compared to the teaser
No kidding, graphics are better than GT 7.
How can you be kidding? Logically they are better
There's a comparison video. And to be honest, GT7 looks better.
@@pixeljauntvr7774They just don’t agree, but the fact is that GT7 is better.
@@Matt-cy4skthat doesn't make any sense, rdr2 came 5 years ago but still look better than all the games we have rn
Actually, even FM7 in somewhere is better than GT7
I'm sure people will find an AFK Freeplay glitch to easily level up cars to unlock tuning/customization. Forza is known for easy glitches to level up XP quickly.
They just can’t do it can they, IGN just cannot give any xbox games 9/10. 😂 They refuse to do it no matter what. I’m sure spiderman will get an 11/10 though despite being identical to the previous game with a new story 😆👍
Cry Xbox fanboy
@@Packin-HeatNot true. Even IGN has already given Xbox games 9 or higher
@@cynthiaandoh9575exactly, but they keep on crying for no reason lmao.
@@cristopher8186 i’m laughing not crying. People who’s job it is to review games. Grown adults that fanboy instead of doing their jobs. It’s embarrassing and very funny 🤣
Very excited
500 cars!?? 😱🤯😵💕
Best racing game ever!
IGN: 8/10
And?
8 is great tho
@@bigboy0494 exactly lol
@@declassifiedapparelfacts
What wheel settings you using IGN? Im using the TS-XW.
It’s going to be rough going from GT7 in VR2 but have been excited for this since the announce.
Just a matter of time till VR support comes to PC
If forza motorsport released for Playstation 5 , ign get 10/10 .
Yes gt7 got a 9/10 with less cars microtransactions and 2d trees 🌲
@@icecoldcabbage4329 GT7 didnt have microtransactions on launch
Not true they gave Forza Horizon 5 a 10 which released on Xbox
@@kostasspirou1010 yea they where sneaky huh to get a review through
Can anyone explain to me why this isn't titled FM 8? (I've never played a Forza game)
It basically means that this will be the last traditional Forza game for a long time. They will continue to update this game as time goes on in addition to more forza horizon games.
It really doesn't matter.
All you need to know is it's the new Forza Motorsport.
Might have something to do with removing the previous games from the digital store front..
Best feeling? 30fps multiplayer is pathetic feeling
As an Aussie myself, the Aussie angle on this is insane 😂
Whats that upside down!!. Whey hey!!😂
Forza does a lot of things right but yeah, this continues to be one of the big ones for me.
only 20 tracks on launch seems insane
So what was with the trailers showing car models from older titles? Does the released game have proper new models in their place, like the Lancer Evo VI?
Old is gold. Personally I'm just looking to get some sweet tunes on some of my favourite old cars and take em online. Although I'll have to grind that car level to upgrade for a while. Looking forward to it though. Ford Sierra cosworth etc.
IGN really needs to go back to a 100 point score system.
Why?
@@Peer165 Adds a much needed diversity into the review scores, other than the 1000th 7/10 review score.
@@jimmythegamer2231Why need diversity for a review score? It will only make everything more conveluted and absurd.
@@Peer165 So you're telling me 7/10, all for games of varying quality, is not absurd? There's nothing convoluted or absurd about a 100 point scale, unless you can't do math.
Then visit metacritic. You shouldn't be getting your reviews from a single outlet anyway. This Forza has an 84? Better now?
A lot of people complain about how cars lack traction. Even high downforce GT cars. Also the traction loss falls off suddenly. Also Forza does count some cars twice with their "Forza Edition" cars.
This looks great!
Everyone complains about the car levels, but no one states how quickly you actually level the car...
That upgrade process is rancid, if that doesn't get changed it's going to be a hard pass from me. That aside, it looks great.
Have you played it?
@@FandangoBatter sour are we? It's not rocket science understanding how tedious upgrading numerous cars is going to be.
After Xbox tax its an 8/10 of course
Definitely
Car audio is borrowed from GT2 and nowhere near the quality of Motorsport 7 let alone the engine notes of GT7
No free panning of vehicles in upgrade mode or any other non race mode
Every upgrade improvement pioneered in horizon 5 is gone.
No track list for championships or the weather/time of day
Nothing feels streamlined and intuitive.
It’s ray traced reflections are matched (in race) by a racing game that only has them in replays.
Honestly the only thing this release has over GT7 is no online requirement to save.
Forza Motorsport has finally tripped on its way to challenge the peak and didn’t recover
An 8 out of 10 🙄
IGN (and Luke specifically) gives game -1,5 automatically if game is not on PS5.
@@UltraCasualPenguinhe gave forza horizon 5 a 10…
Cry more
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
It does look very washed out?, is there HDR?
Copium
GT7 review seemed to have a lot more issues but gets a 9?
Career mode .. vr .. and has lighter cars now .. oh plus the global scene makes it the best and lets not talk about presentation
Personally not a huge fan of Forza Horizon, but for me Forza Motorsport is where it really shines.
This game is a lot better now days. T10 came out with a nascar update and its been a blast. Im saying this for online play. Yes the AI still sucks.
Fun game. A must on gamepass also. Not sure what the Heartburn is about expect for that’s just par for the course with a lot of peeps.
If you enjoy racing games it’s a lot of fun.
