A somewhat badly made attempt to help people write songs. This is just what I do, and it's really hard to explain I'M SORRY but hope this helped a little bit!!!

Im writing a song right now.. I have some lyrics for it written down but for some reason I just cannot come up with a melody or anything agh its really frustrating but I know it will come to me eventually. Thats a big thing when you're writing songs- you have to have patience

When I was in preschool, and elementary I would make up songs at recess. Mainly because I was very lonely and had no friends. And one of my more memorable songs was about my family and very few friends dying, and then being left alone for the rest of my life and I had to explain to my teacher why I looked like I was crying.

i agree with you on the natural part. i mostly write rap music (swag) and whenever i do it's just because a random lyric pops up in my head. if i try to pressure writing a verse it just never really works out

i also think starting with a title helps or just knowing what your going to write about. And then you just write whatever pops into your head when you think about that certain topic and then convert them into lyrics later if that makes sense cx
i always come across songs ive wrote about stories that ive heard and think that thats something i could experience so i write down what i would feel like in that experience. ive wrote about feeling lost, having depression, love, and so many things i havent experienced or that i dont remember experiencing.
I've always been able to write fiction or poetry but never music? I can play a few instruments but can't make anything original out of it

for me is a little bit hard cause I really wanna write a song in english but it isn't my native language so it's hard for me to find the right words for my thoughts or feelings, I nomally write texts and from that I try to write songs but ehhhh
simplygi you should study the language first and the key is to not rush. I know it's hard to wait to write one, but the more you know, the easier it will get.

This is old ik but a big tip is being patient. If you're wanting to write from the heart or just write one that's amazing u gotta be patient. Making Melody's is something people are wondering in the comments and normally I just start humming with the four chords that I have. Whichever tune I hum that I like then I'll use it and put my already written lyrics to it. It's just patience to get it and just enough determination to write one to keep trying even if u fail :)

JUST. dont look for ideas too hard. it'll come to you. just practice wild ideas. use your imagination and creativity when you can so theres more of a chance it'll just pop up. dont force creativity :)
I used to write so many songs when I was in high school and middle school and for some reason as I started studying music professionally I stoped writing songs...I miss it, I should really start doing it again...
My problem is, I've created a vocal melody. I want to create a song out of it. But I don't know what tempo my song should be at.
Plus any suggestion for the future vocal melody that'll be coming into my head.

I write super terrible songs but I find what helps me is not to take it to seriously. If you're stuck for lyrics pick up a random object near you and just start singing about it. After that you can take any parts that you liked and change the words
