    Just ordered one, saves me so much pain carrying gear to my weekly jam session. Can't wait for it to arrive. Seems exceptional value, thanks Sean, so entertaining as usual. Rage against
    the machine sounded fantastic, lesson right there.

    That's why I love the Helix so much. You can be simple or completely crazy with auto switching craziness. I am learning new stuff even after 3 years with it.

    Great review I got one I like the fact it has midi in and out I hooked up my Beat Buddy and it sync's good with Sonicake's build in looper. So I was able to replace my pedal board and effects makes it a much simpler setup.

    Thanks for the Multi-FX Sonicake Maribor II overview. Has a lot of flexibility.

    Always love hearing you play heavier stuff 🤘 not that I don't enjoy the acoustic stuff. It's just a refreshing change. Awesome pedal!

    Sean, I use a Focusrite 4i4. Would I take the balanced stereo outputs to the inputs on the 4i4? I also like that it has a send and receive in case you want to add any pedals. Thanks for the realistic demo.

    So Cool. What Bass strings do you use?

    I like that the Looper has Undo/Redo function. Do the Drums and Looper Sync up as far as timing goes?
    And that one pre set is called "Morden Lead"? Is that a Typo where they meant Modern Lead?

    Nice piece of gear. Would you ever run this with your acoustics?

    Ive actually been in the market for something like this recently. I had been looking at ToneX but this is half the price and seems to be just as good. Also I dont think the ToneX has a built in looper so I may have to give this one a try

      Yeah if you just want a fun multi-fx pedal, this might be better. the cool thing about the Tone-x is capturing existing amps and rigs, but that's not the ideal pedal for some of the weirder effects.

    • @JamesGuitarJourney
      @JamesGuitarJourney 11 месяцев назад

      The capturing feature is not super important to me as I dont really have much analog gear to capture lol. I do like that you can download other peoples gear captures on the Tone-X but seems like you can get a superwide range of effects from the SONICAKE and it has a built in looper which is a big selling point for me looking for an all in 1 type package@@seandaniel23

    Anyone know how the looper and drummer features in the Sonicake MatriBox2 compare to the Donner Arena 2000? The Donner offers no count-off feature when using the drummer -- in fact, the drummer and looper seem totally isolated -- as in, the drummer does not even stay in sync with the looper.

    My musican son (who is a bass player) has a band member who has a Quad Cortex; amazing, but a billion dollars outside my budget, because I'm just a hitter with poor timing and techique 😢.
    I really like the idea of something with both a Looper and Drum machine.
    Thanks for video. Hmmm, I now to have a discussion with the Minister for War and Finances. 😅

    I got this zoom g1xon and fender, the sound doesnt sustain, like your guitar, is it because of the amp, could you confirm, the amp that I have is a karaoke model : stranger amp

    • @seandaniel23
      @seandaniel23  11 месяцев назад +1

      That's interesting. Even a less expensive karoake amp should hold the sustain of the guitar. Hard to tell for sure without testing it against something else.

    Lot of room for Sonicake to improve
    The built is solid , the plastic knobs feel cheap .
    Amps and cabs ok.
    Most FXs , especially the Reverb and some modulations like chorus and phaser are very mediocore
    The pitch shift and octaver unusable and biggesr complaint, unlike NUX and valeton the led lights are not around the foot switch , but just tinny light to the side
    biggest complaint: what is with super small gold color prints on a silver metal frame that doest even come as backlit ?? Good luck reading them even in day light.. Advantage Nux and Valeton again
