In this video I go houseplant shopping at the State Farmers Market in Raleigh, NC. Over the course of 3 days I visited the BEST nurseries in Durham and Raleigh. I remeber going there about 10 years ago and even then, the plant selection was incredible
That was so much fun!! My heart was literally pounding when I saw the huge sting ray look like leaf I was screaming you gotta get it the $40 one!!!!! And there was a black leaf one too!
I google the place it’s 7hours away from me I won’t make it my car will probably drive 3hours before it breaks down! OH GOODNESS THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I AM IN LOVE!!

The ghost cactus would come home with me. Also string of pearls has been on my wishlist since I started my plant journey.
I love your selections...I would also would have bought the long hanging basket cactus fern. I don't know why but I love them, I have small one and can't wait for it to grow long. So If I ever found on like that I would squeal out loud and grab it. Those spirals were an amazing price as well.
Snake plants are my favorite! I know they are common, but I love the drama they create and so easy to care for and propagate. The trifasciata are good and i also have some bird nest varieties with different coloration. Great video!!

I just rewatched 6:40-6:50 like 6 times. You found Raphidophora Hayi for $22?!?!?! OMG that shingle plant is one of two shingle plants, along with Monstera Dubia, on my wish list, but they are soooo expensive online. A Raphidophora Hayi that size regularly goes for over $85! I can't believe you just found it in a nursery!

Oh you make me want to take a trip to NC. It's funny because I'm in this plant group on FB for our local area of VA ( Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, etc.) And some of the people in the group made it to Growning Green Nursery and bought some Amazing plants! Oh wow. The calathea orbifolia for 20 dollars... Sooo small :O I live in Germany and I have a huuuge one and paid 17 euros... 😳 The difference in the countries is so interesting. I love your happiness about the plants. I'm the same... Maybe little more dramatic lol

Great plants you got in the farmer's market. The variegated sting ray( i know it's got called something else) is so beautiful and you picked my favourite one with yellow variegation. Good luck with them and happy growng.

Very cool. I would have chosen the 20$ one, it looked like butterflies to me and hoarded on some other plants. Almost every plant you picked and I kept just saying ' just get it Ashley'. It is so hard to resist such beauties.

The Aluminum plant is beautiful, and I also loved the Spiral Cactus and the Birkin. The variegated plant at 14:05 would have gone home with me for sure...unless it has a lot of care requirements.

I would break the bank😋. There so much plants i like👍 I wonder if your taro would go dormant in winter. I have regular taro in my yard zone 10 and its still disappear during winter time but comes back when the weather gets warm🤗

I would have been freaking out too! I would have gone for the Hoyas first to get ones I don't have and then a Birkins. And then the smaller plants, I like to get 4 inch plants and watch them grow.

There wasnt one thing I needed :). There could have been a fern cactus amongst the ric rac that was cool. The Micky Mouse taro I have only seen for sale in pictures. They are cool looking but I struggle with - Do I want something that big? If I had to choose from all those taro, I would have gone w/ the small one.
