i can't get over how this whole thing was just so satisfying to watch along with you speaking. it was so funny when you purposefully misplaced the gems for demonstration. the little "uh oh, i've messed up" was literally the most sincere way i've ever heard a person confront an accident they made.

I use silicone cooking sheets to lay on top of the picture so I can reach areas better. My arthritis and bad shoulders give me limitations, but the silicone allows me reach over to anywhere to work without sticking. I cut a larger sheet into 4 pieces and just adjust them to keep me comfortable and my work areas accessible without sticking to the canvas.
Awesome. I saw Miss Rambling Rose do that on her channel and I'd like to try it someday :)

Rachel Rae Im having a go at my first diamond painting, with round drills. So great tips, thanks. But it has been harder than I expected. When watching other youtube videos they just go from tray to picture back and forward - fast. But when getting the drills in the pen, seeing the flat part has to stick to the picture, the round part has to go in the pen. I have also come across alot of drill bits stuck together & need to seperate them. Otherwise when I try to put it on the picture one goes flying! So when putting the four drills or whatever in the other end like other videos show, how is it they get all the round tops to go in? Hope you can help me. Thanks :)
LOL I'm an old lady who just discovered a young new hobby! I like to sew and crochet, (and I adopted a sweet little girl 5 years ago who also likes crafts .. and I digress like a sweet little old lady tends to do) and we were walking through Hobby Lobby this last Christmas. It also being my birthday, she said, "I see what I want to get you for your birthday!" I LOVE sloths and she saw a diamond art painting of a ... sloth! I didn't want to disappoint so I put it in the cart... and I've been watching beginner videos ever since. You have taken away my apprehension and want me to dive right in! I can't wait to see her face when I show her my first completed sloth diamond art :)

I've found that I find more enjoyment in doing diamond art of things that are important to me than doing it at random; I bought a custom-made picture of my parents two dogs, both of whom have since passed over the rainbow bridge, and I'm doing it for them as a shared Christmas painting.
This does indeed seem very relaxing...never know this was a thing. Instead of making little Xs from thread as in crossstitch...but with shine! Great video!

I haven’t even gotten my first painting yet, and am already obsessed. I can tell this is something I’m going to do for hours on end. Anyway, as a 7th grader, I asked my dad about it, to see if he would maybe get them for me for Christmas. He said that, if I showed I was interested enough in it, and if I “did my research” he would consider buying me one. I don’t think I could wait till Christmas to get my first one though. I want one now.
btw, some site give away paintings and all u pay for is shipping.

I have watched a lot of diamond painting tutorials over the years.your is the easiest and very pleasant to understand. Well done !
Something I highly reccomend is a handmade diamond pen it can be resin or clay( I use a resin one from an amazon shop) and since they are bigger they help with hand cramps so you dont get them as often!
I’m very new to this hobby. BYW, your video (I’ve only seen this one of yours) is very good. Not too slow, not too fast. Also not too much fluff, you get to the point quickly. I’m a fast learner and I do not need alot of explaining. I have saved this video and I WILL be watching more of yours! Thank you!

I wish there was some way to recycle all those tool kits? Or away for the website you order from to let you check off that you don't need another one? All that plastic all over the Earth.
Same. Some websites allow you to do that, but maybe a note to the seller would work just as well.
I think a lot of schools and daycares would take the left over trays, pens and drills for arts and crafts

me watching as I am waiting at my door all day long as my package should come any second. Diamond painting is a really soothing activity for me because of my depression and anxiety so I am really excited to try it but it’s been like a month now so I am so ready to just get it . That was helpful. I want to move to a new house so bad, and I've been on an app looking at so many decorations and saw these paintings. At first I thought they were just paintings that I'd get and automatically hang up but then saw exactly what they are lol, and this is what they are. So I decided I need to learn how to do that first before I ever order them lol.
