Nice video, valid points. The problem is that Disney just changes things if they don't make money anymore. People don't hate women, they just hate bad written characters.
Powerful female characters are awesome but the MCU forgot to make them also relatable. Captain Marvel is cool, but they didn't include her flaws from the comics, which were, sleeping around with no call backs and being just addicted to the rush of being a hero up to the point she didn't have many friends. Basically the hero version of a workolic who also likes to get it on. I think that would have made her extremely interesting and would have been a nice place to start some character growth. She-Hulk didn't work because it was played too much for comedy. She-Hulk can be funny with observational humor like the comic books, but making everything in the show based around comedy was just a mistake. But at the end of the Day She-Hulk lost her sexiness, she's one of those characters that has a lot of sex appeal. And Disney can't quite capture that. As for Rey, I thought her being powerful was cool. Didn't bother me at all. But the script seemed to be written by a bunch of high school students. I can't really recall what the movies were even about. It was just one cool but meaningless scene connected to another scene where something blows up. Fallout was cool. But in a world without superpowers it's a lot easier to write characters in some aspects. X-Men 97 was awesome. As you can have powerful female characters, but with the added bonus of a superhero soap opera it gets sexy, messy, and fun! So yeah, the MCU needs to remember that main stream Comic Books are sexy. They need to introduce relationships that have weight, have some characters have real issues, and not to try and make everyone so perfect.
I like how you went on the little rant about source material when the only difference between She-Hulk and comics and She-Hulk in movies is how she blended her blood with bruises. Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same in the comics shoot. Lawrence Sir Robert is a pretty quickly. So I don't know what the big deal is.
In my opinion, exactly changing the origin of her powers makes a difference in her character. She-Hulk in comics is naturally funny, this is cringe and forced
i generally hate almost all mcu writings, it seems like they just try to more cgi, visual effects and fighting scenes garbage into their movies i think people just too overate it all i personally liked only byside movies like the first spiderman played by toby and first part of the Venom (didnt watch deadpool yet, but most people seem to like it too) mcu is garbage at story writing, i swear i liked the first movie of Venom even more than the Avengers Civil War and Endgame it is like mcu has almost no limits in their universe until one actor wants to leave the job spiderman movie for example shows a development and personal life, same does the first Venom movie
Honestly I do agree, I can see where all this is coming from and I was a vivid marvel stan for a loooong time. It hurts to say but yes, marvel destroyed most of their projects cause of the writting.
