What I used to do back in the 80's when I worked in a camera shop was to use a bit of old 35mm film and stick some double sided tape on the emulsion side on this piece of film and then insert it into the film canister felt light-trap, turn the film canister spool to draw in this piece of film and when you see it being drawn in you carefully and slowly pull it back out again. You might have to try it a couple of times, but eventually, the film leader will come back out and voilà, there you have it.
Thanks so much for this video ! I just got my (newly purchased) T90 back to life , battery tray was corroded due to broken batteries and black/ground wire was completely gone. !! I did the film leader out modification at the same time!
The sticky shutter problem seems to be a widespread error of the Canon T90 but I've seen only one camera with this problem so far. I succeeded only temporarily with heat (hot-air blower) and magnetization to the shutter mechanism and so I didn't make a video yet...
Hi i have a problem hope you can help the thing with my t90 is that when i load the film it does only for a very brief moment then it stops and the sign with the roll starts flashing any idea why?
Hi i have a problem with T90 i have a old nissin flash but don't work on this camera but in a T70 work fine measure with multimeter in a hot shoe flash in positive and negative pins have short circuit it's normal ? thanks for your help and sorry for my english
Thanks for that, was disappointed when I realised the T90 didn't leave the leader out but this mod has made this camera nearly perfect for me.
