MW2 is the greatest game of all time, I was split screen playing it with two of my friends when we were like 8. We would go down to a grocery store after school and buy some chips and beverages and hop on my friend's xbox 360 and listen to music on his speaker, and as soon as his mom walked in we had to hide our snacks and drinks because we werent allowed to eat snacks and drink soda on weekdays. Man those were the good days, wish I could go back in time and relive that moment. By far the greatest childhood memory I have in my life. Thank you gaming for all the great moments!

Metal slug is probably the best thing that my childhood ever experienced, I've played it with my parents,cousins,friends hell even my uncles and aunts
I played it on PS2 almost all of the series that support PS2
I strongly agree with the memories with friends, I still LOVE playing videogames, but since I had some problems with my best pals, I don't even want to see pictures of them, video-games aren't the same without them, I just loved our relationship since I was in school and the moment I stopped talking to them, I've decreased my play time and happiness a LOT, I rarely even touch my controller and I feel sad about It, it's just never like It used to be and I hate it.

Pewds getting nostalgic over memories playing games with friends, gets to minecraft, gets me feeling nostalgic over memories of watching him play
The games that defined me the most growing up: Link to the Past (played with my friends all the time), Pokemon Yellow (first video game I ever got, and I was full into the Pokemon craze lol), Myst (played with my Dad as a kid, never beat it until I figured it out years later), DKC (again Dad played with us), DKC2 (even better than the first one IMO and a masterpiece!), The Sims (I played SO much of it, and had fun downloading custom content and such), and Ocarina of Time (my favorite game of all time. I played it a bit later so not "young" childhood, but it just blew me away and I love it dearly)
It hit hard talking about DKC2, The music, the parents that wanted it to play it too. I got DKC2 on a sick day as well. Gave me a little tear.
Literally Felix challeinging other kids was literally the guys on pokemon that stand in the street and challenge you if you get close.

I still play Sims and love Planet Zoo/Coaster because I loved Zoo Tycoon so much. Assassin's Creed was my first solo story game I fell in love with. But SuperMario 64... though it's not my favorite, it's the most nostalgic. Me, my brother, and my cousins spent MONTHS at my grandparents' house trying to beat the whole game. Get all the stars, collect all coins, save all characters, unlock all mysteries, etc. When we finally did it and the credits rolled, we all 4 watched the whole thing and cried because we had defeated together, haha. It was just wholesome and happy. Now as adults, we still remember and talk about it. My brother even got it for me for my Switch I got for Christmas.

My mom and I played Donkey Kong Country together too! And I loved staying home sick to play Nintendo. Then my mom would come home and we'd do co-op. Such good memories ♥

It's weird how Tibia got so popular in Sweden like everyone I knew played it and there was so much drama that spilled into the real world. Crazy times that taught me a lot about trust and internet security.
Fun fact: David Wise, the creator of the Donkey Kong soundtrack, was flown into the US and gave my company a presentation in our office one night basically explaining the origins of the sounds and how he made them. He played the tracks and had a whole visual presentation and everything. Super interesting. When he made the soundtracks for N64 (I think), he had to use super small blips of sound and layer them back to back to create longer notes since the memory was so limited for the soundtrack.

The first series I ever watched of Pewds was when he played Ao Oni, and it was the most hilarious thing I had seen in my life at the moment. 2011, 15 years old, and just had a major surgery that kept me bedridden for a couple of weeks, so depression hit real, my dudes. A friend sent me the first video of that playthrough and I laughed so hard my staples popped out, and my mom told me if I wasn't careful, she would ban me from watching Pewds if I popped anymore staples. 🤣 November 28th will be my ten year anniversary of being a bro!!! 👊I also loved his Walking Dead playthrough, and with how much he played Happy Wheels for a while there, I'm surprised it didn't make the cut!! 🤣

Little too old for my blood, I grew up with the Wii, Gamecube, PS2 and PS3, PSP, Gameboy color, and my grandparents’ really shitty computer where I would play tower defense games for like 4 hours straight on miniclip lol. That and this game called “Commando 2” that was the shit. I’m going off on a tangent here anyways I didn’t play Starfox on the N64 but I did play Starfox Adventures on gamecube. Doesn’t hold the same place in my heart as Pokemon Red and Blue or Super Mario on the Wii. But the dialogue was still terrible but also iconic lol. If not for the cheesiness and terrible voice acting I would definitely not remember it so well. It was still cool as fuck to me I would actually pretend I was Starfox on the playground all the time, but goddamn those games were cheesy. If they make more Starfox games they NEED to have awkward, cheesy, yet iconic dialogue like they always have. I absolutely adore that shit and it wouldn’t be the same without it.

I love that playing local multiplayer games in netcafes are something that happened the world over. I remember when my friends and I would rush to the nearest netcafe between classes to play a few rounds and even getting back to class late because of intense matches.

Pewds playing games back then(Amnesia era) was the best growing up, I'd go to net cafes because we can't afford gadgets like phones, game consoles, PSP, and Gameboy. I remember going to net cafes on weekends with the money I saved up during weekdays and going to the counter and paying 20pesos for an hour, I'd open youtube and search for "Pewdiepie" to see if he uploaded a new video, if there's none I'd just rewatch his old videos lmao.

This isn't a unique take at all, but Skyrim really changed my childhood. Up until 2011, I had never played anything like it, and I just felt so at peace playing it for hours at a time. The adventurous feelings I had playing it as a kid completely changed my childhood and what kind of games I played from then.

I feel what you mean about Dota being played on net cafes with friends and not having personal computer and internet at home back then. Here in the Philippines, them cafes brought so much joy and competitive spirit just from playing Dota, Battle Realms, and CS 1.3 back then.
I’d love to see PewDiePie replay some if not all the games mentioned in the video someday, like some kind of nostalgia replay series. If he can or wants to of course.
I love how pewds randomly found out about the internet checkpoint meme during a tangent, it's so in character.
Btw for anyone who isn't familiar, these videos are called internet checkpoints, and are a place where people share their memories while saving the game. I recommend just waiting to eventually let them find you trough recommendations, it makes the experience much more special.

Pewds about the checkpoint thing, pretty much the way it worked was it is like a mental check where if you see one of those videos with nintendo music you can click it and comment a checkpoint for yourself and how your life is going. It was a great way for people to self reflect until most of the videos were taken down by nintendo or here ill quote someone else

Watching you play the last of us is one of my favourite all-time memories. When I was younger we would go to CHILE to visit my grandparents, and of course it was our grandparents house so it was already one of the most relaxing places in the world. I’ll never forget laying in bed with my grandma bringing me breakfast, the cold glass window next to my foot, and me watching you play the last of us as I imagine zombies outside of the house. Just one of those thingsThat sticks with you, and whenever I think of the word comfort that’s what comes to mind

I remmeber when I first got into watching youtubers and I started watching pewds.. I watched a couple series but I vividly remember watching his Lucius playthrough.. definitely one of the classic Let's Plays for me
